• Dreg soon appeared by my side. “Another draw back to watching over this Rachael girl- she goes out during the day too.” I told Dreg. He wasn’t listening much; he was focused on the black Mercedes Benz. “Can’t we leave in the morning?” I asked him and he shook his head.
Heres the thing, I could go out into the sun light, I just choose not to. Its not like I could ever get a tan or anything, so most vampires don't bother with the whole sunlight ordeal.
I relized that this was my last night without some bothersome girl. I wasn't ever going to have a normal life after this. I wanted to spend my last free night doing something fun, like going to a club or something.

“Sir Marlin, your belongings await you in the car. Your mother sends her goodbyes from France, along with your sister too. ” Dreg said in a clam voice. I wondered what he’d do without me. It was going to get pretty boring around the palace, but I won’t be gone for too long. Humans die all the time right?
I got into the car and sat next to Dreg. He was surprisingly quiet for the entire ride to the airport. I sat there staring out the dark tinted window. My whole life was about to change and I had no say in anything once so ever.

“Dreg, where does this girl live?” I asked a little annoyed that no one had actually old me where I was heading to besides the town she lived in.

“She lives in Sharpsville, Pennsylvania. It is close to where your cousin Parker lives.” Dreg answered with a slight note of irritation in his voice. Something was definitely wrong with Dreg. He only acted this way when he saw something he didn’t like in a vision. He added “Zachary, you know you can not be seen by her until she is of proper age, right? You absolutely cannot reveal who you are until she is of age.”

“Yeah, I know. I won’t.” I told him. I had heard this about a million times from my mother and father. It seems to them that humans have a very fragile mind, and even the slightest things can trigger something completely fatal to themselves. So these humans would either go crazy, or kill themselves if I revealed myself too soon. Humans seemed like a pretty stupid race to me. They were always killing each other over simple matters such as careless material possessions. And not only that, but their life expectancy is extremely short.

“Don’t forget it.” He paused looking out the window and saying “We will be arriving at the airport in a few minutes. When you get there, there is a place where you will be working at the local hospital. You can get your blood from there.”
We were now pulling into the airport. It was still very early in the morning, and there was no sign of the sun for a good three hours or so. The car stopped and Dreg was the first to open the door. I climbed out shortly after him enjoying my last moments as a free vampire.
