“You haven’t seen the last of me Capricorn, you know I’ll return.” Sagittarius cries out as he is lowered into his cell beneath the lava chamber in the volcano.
“I know, but I won’t be seeing you for a while.” Capricorn informs Sagittarius as his head disappears under the thick metal covering and then the red hot lava. Capricorn turns on his heel and grasps the keys tightly in his hand as he begins to slide down the side of the volcano. He flicks his fingers behind him and almost immediately begins to slide down faster. Once he hits the bottom, he flicks his fingers again. Capricorn walks up to a man standing on a rock and passes a key into his hand. The man nods his head and then disappears into thin air. A gust of wind runs through Capricorn, and he then turns. A woman begins to materialize out of the wind. First her brown hair waves like seaweed and then her dress appears showing her body structure. Her shoes are the last thing to appear.
“Is everything finished Capricorn? Has he been hidden?” The woman inquires. Capricorn answers with a curt nod of his head. He opens his hand and she takes the last key. She raises her eyebrow and then Capricorn points to his chest.
“All is good as long as no one finds out about this place. This must be kept in the depths of our mind.” He tells her as they place their fingers to their temples.
“Does Lark know to do this?” The woman asks as her fingers glow orange.
“Yes Lucy, he already did it.” Capricorn replies shutting his eyes to relieve the splitting pain growing in his head.
    ~Today~
The sun rises over the top of the mansion and one of its rays sneaks into a room and lights it up so brightly that me, its sleeping occupant throws a pillow over my head. I groan loudly after awhile and sit up. After that I hear the click of a camera and I thrust open my eyes.
“What the…” I shriek and then see the culprit. Zaiharan, my younger brother stands there in his striped pajamas with a camera in hand and a grin on his face.
“Oh Myeisha, your bed hair was so crazy that I have to send it to my friend’s blog, it will make the number one charts, making you famous.” He laughs and then sprints out of the room towards his. Leaping out of bed, I run after him. He then slams the door in my face. I start to pound my fists against the mahogany door.
“Zaiharan, open this door right now or so help me I’ll…” I scream at the door and then stop when I feel a hand on my shoulder. Turning around I look in the pulsing blue eyes of my mother.
“What do you think you’re doing?” She asks in an angry tone, tapping her foot.
“Zaiharan took a picture of my bed hair and said he’s going to send it to his friend’s blog so that he could post it.” I explain rapidly, my fingers itching to open my brother’s door. My mother groans softly and knocks on the door.
“Zaiharan, come out this instance please.” She asks. The door opens and Zaiharan steps out with the camera in hand. Passing it to our mother without a sound, she begins to look for the picture and deletes it.
“There problem solved. Now will both of you please get ready to go to your grandmother’s!” Our mother commands giving the camera back and then walking off. Zaiharan and I glare at each other and then stalk off to our separate rooms. Grabbing my fluffy towel, I walk to the bathroom. After quickly showering I then walk back to my room clothed in a towel and dress in the already laid out clothes.
“Myeisha, please tell me you’ve packed last night?” I hear my mother yell from downstairs.
“Yes mom I already packed last night, you can trust me.” I reply, rolling my eyes. Does she not trust me to do a simple chore like that, I remorsefully think to myself. Grabbing my hot pink duffle bag from under my bed, I then trudge out the door and to the floor below. My high heels click on the marble stairs as I walk down them. A figure dressed in a tuxedo appears at the bottom. Smiling, I drop my bag so I can hug him.
“Thank you for waiting daddy.” I tell him pulling away after I hugged him, looking at his neatly combed black hair.
“Work is not as important as seeing my children go for the summer.” He answers with a grin. I hug him again and after that, my dad grabs my bag and walks out the great big, polished, front door. My mother then appears with a Dooney and Burke bag in hand.
“Come on Myeisha, we’ve got a schedule to keep, chop-chop!” She exclaims.
“What about breakfast?” I pointedly ask. She turns and gives me the look that says “I’ll buy you some”.
“Oh great…Mc Donalds…it’s so healthy and a good choice for breakfast.” I mutter sarcastically to myself. Walking out the front door, mother’s silver Porsche waits patiently for everyone to get in. I then see my brother slyly trying to get into the front, but stops when I clear my throat. Zaiharan looks sheepishly at me and then goes into the back seat with his head hung low in defeat. Climbing into the front seat, I roll down the window to wave good-bye to my daddy.
“Stop worrying Akatsuki, the traffic won’t be so bad this time in Denver.” I hear my daddy trying to reassure mother.
“I know, but what if there is traffic James? You know that my mom likes us to be on time and stresses out if we aren’t.” Akatsuki argues, but James subdues her with a look that sends her walking to the driver’s seat. James blows a kiss to both Zaiharan and I, amber eyes twinkling. Zaiharan and I then wave to him through our windows as we drove away. Just as Akatsuki promised, we went through the drive through of a Mc Donalds and ate hamburgers and fries as our breakfast…oh yummy! For the next two hours, the car was silent, not a word was spoken between anyone. The only thing Zaiharan and I heard were the music on our 120 gig iPod classics, presents from daddy.
From time to time, I would look out at the green rolling hills of the countryside, but then would go back to closing my eyes and bouncing my head to the beat of the music. Finally, the car stopped in front of a three-story cottage. Looking at the cottage, memories of when I was little flood into my head. As soon as the car is turned off, I smack back down on reality and get out of the car to retrieve my bag from the back. After Zaiharan grabbed his bag, all three of us begin to walk towards the cottage. The dirt path makes it almost impossible for me to walk, for my heels kept on slipping through the dirt as if it was quick sand, but I finally made it. Zaiharan raises his hand to knock on the door, but it is suddenly opened. Standing in the doorway in what looks to be a 70’s disco outfit, is our white haired Grandmother Danie.
“Oh my darling grandchildren, how are you guys?” Grandmother Danie screeches in her high voice, gathering both Zaiharan and I into her arms for a bear hug.
“Just fine Grandmother Danie, but I believe you’re cracking my ribs. Air…air…need air!” Zaiharan answers, pretending to gasp for air. Grandmother Danie lets out a laugh as she takes her arms from around us.
“Wow Myeisha, my granddaughter, 16 years old and already looks like an adult. Your hair has grown, it looks so pretty Mye!” She exclaims staring at me. I look at my black hair that hangs past her thighs and grins proudly, it had taken me about 4 years to grow it this length. Now Grandmother Danie turns to mother and envelops her into a hug.
“Hello my precious daughter, how are you doing?” She asks as Akatsuki returns her hug.
“I am doing great mom. The Corporate of Cattanian Mutes has offered me a job as one of their executive directors. I go in for a job interview later this afternoon.” Akatsuki replies with a hint of satisfaction in her voice.
“Does that mean you won’t be staying?” Grandmother Danie inquires.
“No, I am sorry mom, but I have a lunch date with Cornelia in an hour.” Akatsuki replies with a frown, but is surprised when her mother just grins.
“That’s alright sweetie, the kids and I will go do something fun.” Grandmother Danie says winking at us which makes us smile. She waves good-bye at her daughter as she walks away waving and saying ‘good-bye’ to us. As soon as the car drove out of sight, she turns to Zaiharan and me,
“Who wants to see some movies?” Both of us yell for joy and horridly run into the house to place their bags in their designated rooms. Both of us immediately run back outside to find her corvette in the driveway. After that we both jump in and wait for Grandmother to join us. As soon as Grandmother Danie started the car, Zaiharan and I ask,
“Which two movies are we going to see?” Grandmother Danie smiles as she turns the car onto the opposite way that my mother drove.
“Hmm…what movies would you guys like to see?” She asks us though she already knew the answer.
“Transformers Revenge of the Fallen,” Zaiharan says.
“Oh and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince please,” I add hopefully. Grandmother Danie chuckles and nods her head. Another huge smile crosses her face as Zaiharan and I begin to talk excitedly about what we thought was going to happen in each movie.
“I really hope that Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince have the part when Harry uses that spell against Draco in the bathroom. I have read that scene over and over again and it plays an important part in the book I think.” I state while Zaiharan gags.
“Your obsession with that blond pretty boy is starting to gross me out! You’re such a weirdo.” Zaiharan tells me and I then glare at him with my Darth Vader stare.
“Sorry, sorry, but it’s the truth you must understand that.” Zaiharan informs me.
“Well what about your obsession with Megan Fox? Every time you see her come on screen you go all being hypnotized. That grosses me out!” I tell him, making sure that hit him in the core. Zaiaharan blushes and immediately shuts up. Grandmother Danie smiles and looks at me and puts a thumb up. She hears Zaiaharan gasps and Grandmother Danie quickly puts her hand back on the steering wheel, trying to act like she didn’t do anything. About ten minutes later, we drive into a little town and stop in front of a huge building with a marquee sign flashing ‘Movie Theater’ in neon red and blue. Both Zaiharan and I leap out of the car as soon as it is parked and walk beside Grandmother Danie. Walking up the stairs, my eyes fall upon a boy leaning against a stone column. I am drawn to his slick black hair tied in what seems to be a ponytail behind him and his snake green eyes. His eyes soon meet mine and I turn away immediately like the little blushing girl I am. We stop at the front desk,
“Hello how can I help you?” The man behind the window asks with a huge smile on his face.
“Hello, can I have three tickets for the 11:45 showing of the Half Blood Prince and three tickets for the 3:30 showing of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen please.” Grandmother Danie replies with a smile. The man types some things on his computer and then the tickets began to print.
“$25.50 is your total madam,” The man informs her, holding the tickets in his hand. Grandmother Danie grabs her wallet out of her brown purse and then pulls out the correct amount of money. She then places it into the ditch under the window and then grabs the tickets that the man slid under.
“Thank you and have a nice day,” The man says. Grandmother Danie nods and then she nudges Zaiharan and me towards the door. Looking to the column hoping the boy would be there but he is not which disappoints me. As we all walk inside, Grandmother Danie turns to Zaiharan and me, holding out two tickets for the Harry Potter movie.
“Alright here are the tickets for the movie, could you get seats for us somewhere in the middle. I’ll get some popcorn and some…” She says to us, pausing for a moment to let us think what else we wanted.
“Skittles,” Zaiharan and I chorus. Grandmother Danie nods her head and begins to walk towards the concession stand while Zaiharan and I walk toward the corridor in which we would be told where our theater is located. Zaiharan and I pass our tickets to the woman standing at a little podium and she then rips them into two.
“Turn to the left and walk all the way down, you are in theater 3.” She notifies us and then passes us one end of the tickets, sending us on our way. As we are walking down the hallway, I notice the boy walking into theater number three and after that my heart skips a few beats. Never before had I seen a boy more stunning and handsome then him, he was even more stunning then Draco Malfoy, though Draco would always be cute to me.
As we walk through the entrance and come onto the place where the seats are and I then immediately look for where the boy sits. I find him quickly, right in the middle where we like to sit. Smiling I then walk up the stairs opposite to the place where the boy sat. What I didn’t notice, is that his eyes followed me like a sniper to an enemy, never losing contact. Counting out three seats I then sit on the one farther to the middle. Out of the corner of my eye, I stare at him.
“Yes?” I ask slowly looking directly at him. He points to the front and I follow his finger and see my grandmother walking across with a big load of popcorn, drinks and candy in hand. Quickly jumping up I then walk down to her.
“Please let me take some things Grandmother Danie.” I tell her and then grab the three drinks and candy that Grandmother Danie passes to me. Tightening my grip on the items, I walk up the stairs and then one after the other; I place the drinks into cup holders. I then throw a bag of skittles on my brother’s lap and pass the Butterfinger bar to Grandmother Danie. The lights turn off as soon as I had sat comfortably in the seat.
The movie turned out to be just as I suspected, perfectly amazing and very dark in some parts. I cry at the parts where Draco was zapped by Harry Potter and when Dumbledore died at the end which had to be the saddest part of the movie. As soon as the lights turned on, both Zaiharan and I begin to comment on the movie.
“Why did he have to die?” Zaiharan asks as I wipe the tears from my still wet eyes. Grinning evilly at him I shrug my shoulders.
“Come on please tell me!!” Zaiharan pushes, trying to figure out since he didn’t read the books. I just shake my head and after that walk down the stairs towards the exit. Rounding the corner I run straight into someone
“I am so sorry; I didn’t mean to run into…you.” I apologetically say over and over again and then I stop as I look up to see who I had run into. The boy stood in front of me, staring down into my eyes.
“It’s okay,” He says looking away with a smirk. I push a strand of hair behind my ear and walk out rapidly, completely and totally embarrassed. As I come into the lobby, I see the boy walking out with what looks to be his family. He looks at me as he walks out and I become hot in the face. Grandmother Danie and Zaiharan appear in the corridor soon after.
“Alright we have about an hour to go eat some lunch or are you guys too stuffed to eat anything?” Grandmother Danie asks us.
“Let’s go to P.F. Chang!” I suggest rapidly without even thinking. Zaiharan nods and after that we start walking to the restaurant which is about eight down. As we walk through the entrance I immediately recognize a duplicate warrior statue from the emperor’s tomb. I nudge Zaiharan who looks at it and his eyes widen in surprise.
“Don’t worry it’s a fake, I think.” I tell him as Grandmother Danie signals them to follow her. We sit at a round table and a man places menus in front of us.
“My name is Chang and I will be your waiter for today.” He says and I study him. To me, he looks like a samurai warrior you know with the top knot and the brown eyes that seem to pierce your soul. As he walks away, I noticing him limping and I frown in compassion. It is not fun to have a limp especially when you have to carry trays full of food. Opening my menu, I then skim through it, looking for the dish that sounded most appetizing.
“Have you guys found what you want to order?” Grandmother Danie asks a moment later, still looking at her menu.
“Yeah, I am going to get the Panda bowel of beef and broccoli. To drink, can I have a soda please?” Zaiaharan replies.
“Copy cat,” I whisper to him and then say, “I am going to get the same dish, but I am going to have a Jasmine tea.”
“That sounds good and yes Zaiharan, you can have a soda, but that will be the last one for the day. And no trying to pucker me into getting you another one.” Grandmother Danie says winking at Zaiharan. He smirks and then Chang returns with a pad of paper and pen in hand.
“Alright are you guys ready to order or would you guys just like to order your drinks?” He asks with his hand over the pad with the pen in hand ready to write. Grandmother Danie looks at my brother and I and we nod.
“Yes we are, alright can I have the yakisoba dish with a glass of water to drink please. Myeisha…” Grandmother Danie replies and then looks at me.
“Oh can I have the panda bowel of beef and broccoli please, and to drink…can I have the jasmine tea please?” Chang smiles while nodding his head and then turns to look at Zaiharan. He tells him that he wants the same thing as me, but instead of jasmine tea he wants Dr.Pepper. After writing everything down, Chang leaves and disappears behind a door. Zaiharan starts talking about the movie, saying what he liked about it.
“Well I am glad that you loved the movie that much…though I wasn’t really impressed on how dark it was, especially in some parts.” Grandmother Danie comments with a frown. My heart drops, yes it was dark and it defiantly doesn’t have anything spiritually good in it. Even when I make up my own stories with it, I do change a lot of the parts like the wands and the witchcraft so that I could feel peace in my heart and not that strong constriction of it. I know that it’s the Holy Spirit telling me that it something is wrong or that I need to tell my parents about something that I’ve hidden from them. I don’t exactly like the feeling though, it’s almost like someone has placed a material around my heart and every time I know I’ve done something wrong or something just isn’t right, it feels like someone pulls the material tight across my heart, but I knows it’s right.
The sound of glasses being set down on the wooden table brings me out of my trance. Reaching for the steaming cup I slowly bring it to my lips. Gently blowing on it, I then take a long sip savoring the taste.
“I’ll be back with your food,” Chang tells us all.
“Thank you,” Zaiharan says to Chang as he is walking away.
“So Myeisha, do you know who that boy was that you were staring at while we were waiting for the movie to start?” Zaiharan asks grinning evilly as he watches me freeze and blush a crimson red. I then glare at him, but I do answer.
“No, I don’t know who that guy was. Now if you don’t mind, would you keep information like on a low key please?” Zaiharan starts chuckling and then Grandmother Danie joins in.
“Ah don’t tease her Zaiharan, she’s a girl and at this age…well you know.” She tells Zaiharan winking at him as she said the last words. I shake my head in mock disgust and then Chang arrives with the food. We eat our food quickly as we realize that we only have 45 minutes to get into the movie theater and like everyone, we want to get there before everyone came and took the good seats.
“Yummy, that was some great food Grandmother Danie. Thank you,” Zaiharan says as she is grabbing her credit card out of the pocket thing the waiter had given their bill in.
“You’re very welcome; now let’s go so we can get some good seats.” She then announces getting up. My brother and I follow her example and quickly rush out the door. All three of us walk speedily towards the theater and then to the woman at the podium. She points us on our way without even recognizing us. Though they were ten minutes early, there wasn’t a lot of people in the seats, and thankfully, the seats they like to sit in were free. Quickly taking their seats, I then wait patiently for the movie to begin. The movie went by quicker than expected and just like the Harry Potter movie, it was really good.
“Alright I know it’s stupid to ask this question because you like all the characters, but who is your favorite character or characters out of that movie?” I ask Zaiharan as we walk out to the parking lot. Zaiharan is quiet for a while, thinking hard, and then he responds,
“My favorite characters have to be…Mudflap and Skids.”
“What…you like the Twins?! Now why is that? I thought you would’ve liked the new decepticons.” I exclaim in surprise.
“Well I like them because they remind me of you and me. You know how we fight and get along on different times?” He shrugs his shoulders. Rolling my eyes I then playfully punch him on the shoulder. Zaiharan turns to look at me and punches me back. As he runs away towards the car, I rub my arm trying to subdue the pain. The drive back is full of talking about both movies and fights about which one is better. As Grandmother Danie pull up into the driveway, pointing my finger I jab Zaiharan’s chest.
“This fight isn’t over Zaiharan.” I inform him, stepping out of the car and after that walking towards to the backyard. As soon as I open the gate, I feel a cold draft rush through me, pushing me backwards onto my back. The air is knocked out of my lungs and I start gasping for air.
“Myeisha are you alright?” Grandmother Danie asks, rushing towards me and after that pulling me to the safety of the car.
“I…am…fine…there’s…someone back there.” I wheeze. Grandmother Danie helps me up and then signals Zaiharan towards her.
“I’m going in first; you guys are not to come in until I tell you to.” She instructs. Myeisha and Zaiharan nod, their faces full of fear. Grandmother Danie then begins to walk carefully towards the gate’s entrance. She looks around the corner and immediately brings her head back, barely missing a huge fire bolt coming at her head. After that she quickly licks her fingers and puts out the little smoldering bits on her hair. My fingers itch to use the power inside of me and I look to her, waiting for the signal. Zaiharan backs away from the car and goes into the garage.
“Zaiharan,” I hiss as he disappears into the darkness of the garage. Looking back to the gate, I see Grandmother Danie sprint into the backyard sending green lightning bolts, one after the other.
“Myeisha now,” I hear her call out. I cup my hand as I run into the backyard to find my grandmother and Zaiharan cornering the person completely covered by a red cloak and mask. Stopping next to my brother, a huge flame builds up in my hand and then starts to spiral around my arm as if it were a snake. The person looks at them and then raises his hand. A blue sparkly bolt comes straight at Zaiharan, but he blocks it with a blue sparkly bolt of his own. When the two bolts collide it causes an explosion looking like a firework.
Blowing on the fire, it goes directly towards him and I could feel the heat of it as it flew. The person jumps into the air, but too late for a small part of the fire caught the bottom of the cloak. It immediately begins to climb up the fabric like a lizard on a wall. After that, the person throws off the cloak onto the pavement, showing a red ninja like suit and a manly body. Smiling, I run towards him grasping the bottom of the fire. The fire crawls back down my arm and then becomes a whip with a bite. Grandmother Danie and Zaiharan follow with forming black balls in their hands.
I strike the side of the man with my whip, but he blocks it with a katana that was hidden on his back. I growl and then Grandmother Danie pitches the ball straight at his chest. He again blocks the attack, but is too slow to block Zaiharan’s ball which hits him smack in the chest. The momentum of the attack sends the guy flying backwards through the wooden fence. Grandmother Danie walks over, grabs the collar of the suit and pulls him close to her face.
“Who the heck are you and why did you just attack us?” She asks threateningly with a bolt of lightning staring in her hand.
“I am simply a messenger and a test to see the Akura’s children’s power. The message is that Sagittarius is back and he’s going after all the kids of the Cattanian Mutes who defeated 250 years ago. He’s stronger and thirsting for the necks of the children.” The man replies and then in a flash of flames, disappears. Grandmother stays staring at the blackened grass for a minute and then turns on her heel towards the house. I and Zaiharan stare at each other, both of us wondering who is Sagittarius. Zaiharan runs into the house to see where Grandmother Danie is, while I walk over to the still burning piece of fabric.
I sweep my hand over the fire and it immediately chokes itself out. I then bend down to pick it up. Right as my fingers just grazed the fabric, I am thrown into what seems to be another dimension. Turning around in fear, space twirls around her. Stars fly above my head, while planets circle by me. Finally everything pauses and I hear a voice looming from the darkest part of space.
“I am back sooner then you expected Capricorn, and I will get the throats of the Cattanian Mutes’s kids. I will strike them down like their parents did to me. This time, you will not stop me.” After that, I find myself in the backyard again and in fear, I drop the fabric. Before it could even hit the ground, it disintegrated into ashes. She backs away and then rushes into the home, wanting answers. I walk into the house to find my grandmother grabbing a jacket, keys, and purse.
“Wait, where are you going?” I call out.
“I am going to find answers in a place in which you cannot go.” Grandmother Danie replies not even stopping. She then trudges out into the backyard and stops in the middle of it. Placing her stuff all into one hand, she raises the free hand in the air. Grandmother Danie grips the air, as if she’s gripping a pencil. A cloud starts to form around her hand and then she throws it into the air. The cloud stops right above the house and then begins to expand, covering all of the house, backyard, and then the garage.
“This shield shall keep you hidden until I get back, no one, only I can get through it. But I will place an alarm in the house that will go off if someone other than me goes through the shield.” She informs me as she then starts to the garage.
“Wait Grandmother Danie…the fabric had a message when I touched it.” I cry out which makes Grandmother Danie rooted to the spot.
“What did it say?” Grandmother Danie hisses without turning. I inhale a long breath and then say,
“The voice said that I am back sooner Capricorn and I will get the throats of the Cattanian Mutes’s kids. I will strike them down like their parents did to me.” On that note, Grandmother Danie disappeared behind the gate. I hear the car starting, sees a flash of light and then all is quiet.
“She said she was going to use the teleportation key.” Zaiharan informs me as I walk through the door. Nodding understandingly, I shut the door and lock. Zaiharan raises his eyebrow and opens his mouth to ask, but I stare at him with a straight face. Zaiharan then closes his mouth and goes to lock the front door. After that, I go around the house and begin shutting all the windows, making sure not one was open, not even the littlest one.
“Myeisha, what are we going to do if more than just one comes through the shield?” Zaiharan asks, curling up on the sofa to watch TV. I stay quiet for a moment, staring at the window and then reply,
“Then we use the Akura blood inside of us, and use the power that came with it to defeat them. I doubt if anyone is going to try to go through anyway, because we’ll know if they come through it.” Zaiharan turns on the TV while I stay in the kitchen watching the backyard intently. The first guy had hidden in the back, so would the others come there if any came, I contemplate in my mind. After staring out the window for what seems like an entire hour, I finally calm my body and walk to the living room to join my brother. My brother is laughing at a SpongeBob episode when I came in and sat on the couch.
“Did you see anything?” Zaiharan asks immediately, looking at me with eyes replaced with fear inside.
“No, I really do doubt if anyone is going to come.” I reply, and watch as his eyes go back to being filled with happiness. Then right at that moment, the alarm sounds. I place my hands over my ears as I leap up from the couch and then run towards the kitchen. The alarm stops and so does my heart. Outside in the backyard is a whole group of those red clad ninjas.
“Zaiharan,” I scream as windows all around me shattered into thousands of pieces. I feel glass shards pierce into my skin as I fall to the floor, covering my neck.
“Myeisha, help me please!” I hear my brother cry out. Ignoring the searing pain, I jump up and rush into the living to discover my brother is the arms of one the men. A low growl unearths from inside of me as I get in a crouching stance. The man places a long knife against my brother’s throat and he whimpers at the touch. His eyes then grow huge as he cries out,
“Myeisha behind you,” Turning around I punch the guy in the stomach with so much force that he flies backwards and my fist cracks. As I shriek in pain, a ring of fire forms around me, flaring up from time to time. Finally, I come to ignore it like the rest of the pain and stare at my brother’s captor.
“Let go of him,” I hiss, and after that my hands begin to become covered by a green mist. The guy steps back against the wall, still holding my brother. I grind my teeth and then notice other guys stepping into the living room, trying to corner me. Raising my hands swiftly towards the ceiling, the green mist turns into mist snakes and they attack the intruders. While they try to defend themselves I rush towards my brother and strike his captor with my fist. I hear a crack as my knuckle smack against his nose and bloods begins to cascade out of it. He lets go of my brother and I grab him. Running out of the room, we both run out into the backyard, to better use our abilities.
“Zaiharan, be ready,” I tell him as a white light begins to grow from my feet up.
“You’re going to use that now?!” He exclaims staring at me. I nod without even looking at him. This is the only way that he and I will even stand a chance of defeating them. After that, we both cower to the floor as we watch a huge blast blow the roof off the house and then shatter it. As we stand back up, the men began to pour out of the house to stand in front of us. The white light had now reached my forehead and I looked to the sky as it completely covered me. I pull my arms in and then thrust them out as if I am going to embrace someone. The white light leaves my body and becomes like wave sweeping out across the yard.
Some of the men are smart enough to jump, but the ones who thought they could deflect it are immediately consumed by it and disappear in a flurry of light. My brother than soars over me and begins to attack the men with blood red whip like attacks. I am soon locked in another battle with some of the other men. I dodge lightning bolts, fire; whip like attacks, and just about everything they throw at me, though a lot of them do hit me. A long think black bolt swirls in corkscrews and then smacks into me.
Flying backwards, I crash through what is left of the fence. I lie on the floor, the pain becoming to unbearable to leave unnoticed. One of the men comes over, grabs my shirt, and begins to pull me up, but he then drops me. He crosses his arms in front of his chest as an orange blast smacks in front of him. Turning my head to the side, I see my grandmother standing there with another. I try to get a good look at him, but he moves too quickly for me to get a good look of him.
The men seem to cower in fear as he comes near them and knocks them down with different varieties of blasts, each with their own strength. I watch in admiration and fright as this guy single handedly takes out the men one by one.
“Myeisha,” Grandmother Danie cries out, finally realizing that I lay there.
“I’ve got her Trilinia,” A voice tells her. Soon after a figure looms over me and as they bend down, I recognize him as the man who had fought against the men and run them out of our backyard.
“I am going to pick you up and place you into the car alright.” He tells me and he carefully picks me up. I shut my eyes, waiting for pain, but none came, it’s as though he hadn’t picked me up. Opening my eyes, I see him and the world moving behind him. He looks down at me with kind ocean blue eyes and as if he read my mind he says,
“I have sent an antiseptic into your body using my power, but to completely heal your pain, is something that I am untrained to do. When we get to our destination, I’ll make sure you get the necessary treatment by a professional immediately.” My eyes feel heavy and both I could say anything to him; I fell into a deep sleep.
