• Class take out your laptop's and start on a letter to your family." Mr. Shaw said eagerly. I rolled my eyes then looked at my buzzing black cell phone, I opened the keyboard then replied to my friend Maggie's text.
    4:15 pm.
Maggie: Hey Brooke! How's your class? Math is so stupid! When will we ever need to use square roots ever in our life again?
I smile at the text then reply,
Brooke: Hey Maggie. My class isn't going any better than yours, we have to write a letter to our family. Boarding school is so stupid! So true about the square roots! smile .
" Brooke! You know the rules. No cell phones in class."
    "I'll put it awa-"
"You had your three chances! Hand it over." I stare at my teacher hoping he will get the hint I will win this fight like I always do, and he should give up before it gets ugly.
"Fine, keep your cell phone! But you must finish this letter. Your parents probably need to hear from you."
"Fine." I open my laptop then opened up word.
Dear mom and dad+ family members,
It's your daughter Brooke. Remember me? I know I haven't sent a letter in about a month and a couple of days. (I really don`t care enough to remember the exact number of days)I only have a couple things to say,1) I don't know how to put this, so I am going to go right out there with this..Our teacher is on crack!(Please take that into offense Mr. Shaw.) 2) Say Hi to Grandma & Trevor. I think his birthday was a couple of weeks ago (don`t get made cause I forget my brothers birthday.) 3)Take me out of school! I wanna go somewhere else! I can bring my best friend Maggie too! All I have to do is buy a really big suitcase.
Have fun playing broom-ball with grandma.
    Sincerely, Brooke (fancy writing)`
I click send then take out my cellphone to see if Maggie responded, and as usually she didn`t. It always takes her an hour.
