• She was 4 years old, the sound of the breath of wind came rushing against her window, late at night when the girl was still awake. She lowered the curtain of the window next to her bed to see the figure outline of a person with their hand pressed against the glass, the tail of the entity slightly drifting with the wind. As its hand slowly slid away from the shutters, she smiled and waved as it floated away towrds the star lit sky, and flowed through the branches of the large oak tree about 20 feet away from her room before disapeering into the night. As the girl grew older, her mother got married and they moved away form their condo into a house not too far away from where she lived before. She spent many days alone at her grandmothers catching frogs and menos in the creek down the bike path in a isolated wooded area. She was about the age of 10 when she one day looked at her reflection in the water and there looking back at her, was the outlined entity swaying with the flow of the creek. Puzzled, the girl stuck her hand in the water to see it only disapeer leave behind the swaying rays of the sun that naturally occured as the water moved on forward. She staired at the creek for a good few minutes waiting for the entity to come back before she carried on down stream. Days turned into months and years before the girl turned 13. It was the summer of 2006 and She was, yet again, spending her days alone. Sometimes during the day when no one was around, she would run into the soy bean field behind her house and dance freely with the wind. She closed her eyes and swayed her body and let the air catch her hair when she felt something grab onto her hand. She opened her eyes, and there again was the shadow entity freely dancing with her in the fields without a care, without a meaning. She closed her eyes and the two spun and twirled before she slowly let go of the shadow persons hand. Its fingers sliped through hers as it yet again, floated away into the wild blue sky. Life went on for the girl as she grew older. As she reached the age of 15, she made many new friends but felt lonely and neglected. She yearned for the love she never had from her family, there were no "I love you's" or hugs or kisses from the days she can ever remember. She would try her best to escape realality when ever she could with substances, other "mother figures", and being as clingy and sweet as she possibly could to feel the love, even for only a moment. The day finally came when someone showed up in her life that made her feel like she mattered, and told her for the first time in so many years, that they loved her. She was like a mother to the girl in a way, untill the day the woman got married and left for awhile. Even still the days they met and talked were all worth the while to the girl untill one spring day when her and the woman met again for a visit, she told the girl she had left her husband and was moving far away, states away. The girl knew well that this could be the very last time they would ever speak again, and when the woman went home after their visit, the girl ran up to her room and sat in the corner for hours, crying out every tear she had left in her body. She knew right then, she was alone with no one to go to, no one to love...when all of a sudden she felt arms embrace her and hands stroaking her hair. she looked up to see the shadow person, olding her, loving her. "Oh I wish I knew what you were looking for..." she said as she laid her head on the shadow persons shoulder "I know well you would never speak... but still I feel you here, always and forever" "promis me you'll never leave, oh please, when you go, promis you'll be back"... it was a sentence she did not have to say, for the shadow person, would always be there, on her lonliest days, on the days she needed it most, it would always be around with the love, hope and inspiration she yearned for when nothing else mattered.
