Ok, so I resently installed my cs4 design suite onto my new windows 7 laptop. I intalled the drivers for my tablet, and went through that process. Then I set up the brush settings so that I could use pen pressure.
I drew one line, the pen pressure worked. But any line afterwords, the pressure did not work. I restart, readjust the settings, and I go through the same thing.
I would like to be able to draw more than one line in a sitting, but what can I do?

Where did you get the drivers?
Have you tried the newer versions from the tablet maker's site?

It's a wacom tablet, and I installed the drivers straight from the wacom website. I double checked, and went over this with wacom technical support. I installed the driver appropriate for my tablet, and for windows 7.

So, is my tablet a lost cause then?

We don't know yet.
Does it work in other pressure-aware programs?

I am not sure, it works for a few seconds in photoshop, but I am not sure that I have anyother programs that can detect pressure sensitivity....

Ok, so I was talking to another Wacom rep, and she was saying that I may need a "patch" for photoshop, since I am running on windows 7.
What is a patch? And where can I find it? And would that really help?

A patch is a small update, usually to fix a bug in a program.
The patch would be available from Adobe's site if it's been made yet.
