So for my b-day (March 9) I got an Xbox 360 Arcade. I used the memory drive from my old 360 (RRoD'd) for the memory on this one, making sure the leads were clean and everything. However, lately with some DVDs, there's a sort of waviness on the screen whenever there are dark areas (for example, my mom watches the 24 series, and whenever it's night time, you can hardly see what's going on.)
This doesn't happen with all DVDs though. Help?

Something might be wrong with the lens I would trade it in if you have a warrenty for a new one.

I don't think it's a lens issue. A dirty / scratched lens would prevent the digital information on the disc from being read properly - not change the video stream. It sounds to me like something's gone awry from the A/V output of the 360, or the A/V input to the TV.
What type of TV / monitor do you have it plugged into? CRT, LCD, DLP, Plasma? How old is the display? Have you tried using the 360 on another display? Are you using the OEM ( "stock" ) cables that came with it, or do you have a 3rd party (i.e. Mad Catz) set of cables?

Sounds like their is something wrong with the tv, a lens would not cause this as far as i know. I had this with my 360 and i replaced my tv and got an hd one and its stopped so odds are yes its the tv not the console, if it is the console odds are that its the video port burning up, mine is one of the first 360 and its never red ringed thank god and its video cable is sorta loose from use. Unless you are having decreases in game speed or disc read errors its not the lense, i had to replace mine a while back because the warranty was over, it was the only thing that ever went wrong with my 360.
