Long Distance Relationsips (LDR) Support Thread

Well, my 5 month long LDR is over now - my boyfriend is back home for good and I'm so happy! I spent Christmas lunch with his family today and although it was slightly awkward seeing him in the flesh at first two days ago (when he flew in), everything now is back to how it was before he left!

Looking back on the 5 months he was away, I must say that it was definitely not as hard as I expected - we have both learned and experienced new things individually and it was really refreshing to have some 'independent' time hanging out with friends and doing new things that I might not have within the comfort of hanging out with my boyfriend all the time.

That being said, I love the fact I he's back for me to harass and to have him kiss me all over and cuddle me!

I wish everyone the best of luck with their LDRs - don't see it as a negative time for yourselves, look at it as a time to grow independently - keep yourself busy, have fun and thank the existence of the internet for facilitating global communication!
