I don't really think it's so glorified, though. I mean, women are usually more the focus of porn as opposed to men (unless the porn is targeted towards gay men). I mean, go to any generic, free porn site, and you'll find plenty of women porn stars with names, or just women masturbating. You don't really get that as much with men.

You know, I almost said something about girls vs. guys as regards passing, but I didn't. A lot of transgirls do pass very well. 3nodding FtMs obviously have a slight advantage because hormones can stimulate hair growth, put them through a 'puberty' of sorts, whereas MtFs have to deal with the adam's apple and the effects of testosterone since their puberty. But oh well.

I think it's sad that it's glorified at all. Not because it's bad, but...every TG I know is really sensitive about their anatomy because they work so hard passing, because they've dealt with the stigma for their whole lives. The little bit of transwoman porn I've seen has just made me feel...sad. Being called 'shemales', having their birth defect, for want of a better term, shown off like some sort of freak or special attraction. It makes me sad. If that's what they want, then good for them. It just feels sad to me. And you know that at least some of those girls, like cisgender women in porn, are not doing it because they enjoy it. [There are also a lot more transwomen prostituting themselves, as opposed to transmen].

It is interesting, though, because "shemale porn" is targeted towards heterosexual men. So it says a lot about how we view gender and what makes men feel gay. If it was easier, I think a study on guys who like "dickgirl porn" would be really interesting. How they identify themselves, how they identify the girls in their porn (gay men? straight women?), and how they identify the men in their porn, especially those who perform sex acts identified with submission, like oral sex, a**l penetration, so on. I'm just rambling here, but...

I don't think the prominence of transwomen in porn is a step forward. xD It's just fetishization.

I don't know much about being trans anything since I'm not, but more transgender females have been beaten to death for not revealing that they were born men than anything.

Accepted? Not really.
