*Hopes she's posting this in the right spot.. if not.. Sorry!*

Right now I'm having issues with "Antivirus System Pro", yet another rogue scanning program

1) What browser you're using?
At the time, IE 8

2) What area of the world you're in (a rough estimate, like "Southern U.S." is fine - there's a theory it could be geographical)
SK, Canada

3) Anything else you can think of that might help us track this down.
It seems to pop up when I am customizing my Avi. Unfortunately I didn't look at what ads were displayed at the time. Right now I am on my laptop, as my main computer has been rendered useless. My AVG doesn't seem to be able to get rid of the infection and I've booked an appointment for someone to make a housecall and fix it. (I'm reading through the C&T forums guide on spyware as we speak... Wish I saw that before I made the appointment!)

Antivirus System Pro issues, it attached itself to one of my laptops sometime ago, no prompt for installation, no warning, within seconds my system was ambushed and attacked by the rogue program.

Get your act together gaia, you want to be a safe and successful site? Do something about your advertisements and redirects, better yet, get rid of the advertisements all together on the avatar clothing and inventory screen. Honestly, what is wrong with you if your going to let these things happen in the first place? Who is running the security over there, I want to punch them right in the face.

If it helps any, before the infection "setup" on my system, I was prompted with a javascript warning, which was issued telling me that my system might not respond, or would slow down due to a large or unresponsive script (Though my laptop is for side-projects and other small things, occasionally but not always work related, in this it is considerably slower than my desktop to begin with).

I'll not stand for these kinds of problems anymore now, or in the future, do you understand Gaia? Your running a professional website here, so do something about it.... Now...
