The observation room of the arena complex. The room, while simple has the unique positioning of being situated above the six arena's. The walls of the room are all glass and set in a circle to allow a fully panoramic view of the fights below. In keeping with the observation room, the arena's below are all set in circular form. These arena's are then in turn laid out in yet another circle to create one giant spherical complex. There is no fighting allowed inside of the viewing stand so sit down, have a beer, place some bets, and enjoy the carnage below~

After leaving the Kazekage's office with her headband in tow, Rin noticed a lot of activity nearby. It looked like...a tournament of some sort? This would be a great opportunity to meet her competition. After all, that's what they were. Competition. She was determined to be the best, so that she could avenge her father and prove to everyone that she was more than her alternate personality.
Rin stepped inside the arena complex, into the observation room. Interesting, she thought. Looks like I'm the first one here. Rin took a seat and waited for the fighting to begin.
Sonyo made her way to the observation room, hazel-brown eye tired and somewhat strained from looking at slides for so long. A gennin was already here it seemed, one she didn't recognize. She was hoping Nari would also be here, but it seemed that he wasn't yet if he was going to be at all. He would most likely have a more proactive role in the tourney than her. With an exhausted sigh, the chuunin sat at the bar, ordered up a beverage of the non-alcoholic variety, and sat back, looking at the screen as it showed the several different arenas, along with being able to see the several arenas below. She placed her notes on the bar's surface and awaited the fighting to begin, readying herself for when she would be needed-- and she would be needed, seeing the arenas as they were. The lava was a bit overkill, but it ws interesting. This would definitely prepare the shinobi for future battles; she sort of wished she would have had an opportunity like this,

Even inside of the cramped elevator, Nari could hear the sounds of cheering outside. It wasnt often that the people of the village got to see their shinobi fight outside of the village getting blow to hell. With a soft ding, the elevator signaled its assent to the top floor. Stepping out he gave a smile to his fiance though for now he could show no more. Heading to the announcement booth he took the microphone in hand as he began.
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, shinobi and civilians. Welcome to the first annual Battle of the Sands Tournament! Today you will get to see your villages valiant soldiers fight for glory, honor, and fame. The rules for the tournament are as follows. You will do battle until either you or your opponent are unable to continue. Restraint is expected to be shown and all surrenders are to be honored at all times. The winners of this first round will go on to fight again in the second round. Then the three winners of that round will go on to fight in the final match. A three way free for all, may the last shinobi standing win. Contestants, take your places now. At the sound of the horn you will begin." After waiting a few moments for all of the contestants to take their places he gave the signal to the man next to him, who in turn signaled another and within seconds a massive war horn sounded through the entire complex, followed by the roars of the viewers in the stands.

Atsuma sighed watching the fight unfold. No grace whatsoever in the brutes movements. In a formal match such as this it was proper etiquette to greet the opponent before beginning the fight. At least a bow was expected. It was odd because the only exception he could find himself accepting such an attitude would be if the two fighters had some sort of 'bad blood', but it was quite clear that they didn't! He even recognized her from the academy. All he had to do was say something polite after to acknowledge her as an opponent! It frustrated the poor Atsuma as he sipped his cold tea by himself as he observed the fight begin. He knew nothing about the two other than what he was witnessing. An apparent samurai and and a puppeteer. An odd match up to say the least. Putting up a skilled shinobi that had to deal with the complexity of chakra string manipulation against someone that only swung a sword was odd indeed.
The samurai's advance was peculiar. If Atsuma were him even if he was a melee fighter going up against two people would not be a decent strategy. Puppets were tricky things to deal with. It was like fighting against a moving trap. Any misstep and he'd receive a nasty cut that would paralyze his body. Although maybe he was giving too much credit to the kunoichi. Maybe his assault would be fast and ruthless to the point of no possible counter attack. She did have to manipulate the strings after all. He noticed one of the clones staying back and speculated what his plan was. They were all gennin and the samurai was most definitely not a ninjutsu adept judging from his appearance. So Atsuma assumed he was looking at a basic clone that couldn't strike the opponent. "Just what are you planning Mr. Umechika?" He mumbled to himself before sipping more tea.
Toya wanted to laugh. He wanted to bang his arms against the glass until they bled. What was he looking at? This is what the village had cultivated? The poor fool would be torn to bits the minute he got into range of the puppeteer and if he didn't she was as bad as he was stupid. Toya did not want to just win the competition, but he wanted to measure his current power. The academy limited his abilities. This would be a great opportunity for him to test out how far he has come without the 'eyes' on him. They could not control him here. He was not hurting them on purpose. It was a tournament. And yet how would he measure his strength against such disastrous shinobi? THIS WOULD NOT DO! IT WOULD NOT DO!

Sonyo completely bypassed Nari's hand, opting instead to wrap her arms tightly around the man and bury her face in to him. "I missed you too..." It felt good to be in his arms again, to be near him. He was her constant reminder of what she could be, if only she tried. She hung on to Nari for a few moments before letting go and grabbing her lemonade again. "I decided to come in case someone got too hurt. I am the only high ranking medical ninja still active in Suna... Though I'm starting to hear whispers that James might have returned. It gives me comfort, I'm not fit for leading." Sonyo smiled softly, almost sadly. She knew she didn't have the drive or the skill to lead just yet, though she prayed she one day would. She had already failed with one gennin team, she hoped that perhaps some day she could make up for those failures.

Her steps would resound up a flight of stairs in a slow and uniform rhythm. The sound of her walk echos in an otherwise seemingly devoid space. It was all almost strange, really. The noise of her step did little to hinder this bleak state she’d fallen into. For all she knew, Sadayo could have imagined the ideal ending of survival and was rather a soul ascending a tireless stairway to the unknown. She was alive but couldn’t help but mull over how close she was to considerable injury. The march to the observation deck over and soon she stood outside its decorated door with her hand on its knob.For a moment, she would stand still and stare dolefully at her gloved hand upon recalling the likelihood of others on the other side. While nothing would be stopping her from excluding herself from the going-ons, she felt that her situation would be welcome to having a comfortable seat rather than a concrete exterior to sit in. Opening the door, Sadayo would enter into a room hopefully more lively than an empty stairwell. The shock was less visible through her face by now. While the trauma and fear was still there, Sadayo looks more worn out and defeated. If anything. She took a seat: her hands in her lap and eyes glued to the smooth bar tabletop.

While dusting her jacket off she eagerly made her way to the bar. She was too annoyed to talk with anyone here at this time. Her opponent made some careless decisions that only served to piss her off. "Give me something strong." She demanded of the bartender as she was eyed up and down. "Aren't you a little young?" She was asked as she growled under her breath. "Just shut up and serve me!" She snapped at the man as he sucked on his teeth for a moment. It didn't take long for him to grab her something and slam it down on the bar in front of her. It was a giant bottle called snake's venom. She popped it open and eagerly gulped the beverage down as she needed to calm her nerves. She wanted to just slaughter someone but she had to keep the wolf at bay. Her instincts were always a problem as they were always violent tendencies. Taking a couple more swigs she began to feel tipsy and her body eased up a bit. She awaited to be called for her next match as she slowly drank the liquid.
Ayame walked into the observation deck with Daichi close beside her, she observed all there thinking for a moment on each fight she had witnessed. One was a bit confusing to her, but what could she do. Before speaking to anyone else she went to Sadayo and dropped on her haunches to the girl's level. She could still smell the fear on Sadayo and hear her accelerated heart rate.You did well, you knew when you could no longer handle something. I commend you for it.She took the girl's hand, taking care not to let her claws scratch her, Do not let fear overtake you, use it to further your resolve during battle. Next time you can win. She said then stood, Rin if you would like to train for a while you and Atsuma may fight. It is up to you of course. She moved through the rest of the area and seeing Susano'o she raised an eyebrow. She had done well, but maybe was a bit too cocky. Susano'o you did very well just don't let your pride get in the way. Also I would appreciate toning down the rudeness to the servers. They are only doing their job. She heard Nari and Sonyo's conversation and shook her head at the lack of confidence Sonyo had in herself. The girl had proven herself a hundred times over, when would she learn? Daichi walked over to Susano'o and Ayame just barely held back a command. He sniffed the girl's cheek then nuzzled it, whining a bit before licking her. DaichiShe said so low only he could hear. He huffed and headed to her side as she thought of how to play the next round of the tournament. Of course some of that depended on the decision of Rin and Atsuma.
"Yeah yeah." She said to the Kazekage as she was lightly scolded on how she talked to the bartender. The bartender gave her a look and Susano'o glared right back at him. Just because the kazekage was on his side didn't mean for him to try and buck up on her. As she took another swig she was aware of the enormous furball at her side. She looked at him silently as she took again another swig. Trying to drown out the vile thoughts that plagued her mind as far back as she could remember. When the massive beast began to sniff her cheek and eventually lick it as he was whining she let out a laugh. An honest joyous laugh as the beast licked her cheek. "There was some on my face wasn't there? Fluffy trying to get drunk?" She asked as she laughed a bit more as the beast walked away. She grinned while drinking more of the life altering drink.
__ The usually theatrical Tetsuhiko entered the observation stand with eyes glazed over by exhaustion and a hunch. It was time for him to recover from a challenging fight with Sunagakure's most rambunctious ninja. He sleepily walked over to a sofa and fell onto it in desperate need of rest. When his eyes closed he immediately fell into the oblivion of slumber. Tetsuhiko curled up with a pillow and began his deep sleep.
Sleep was initiated and he almost immediately fell into rem sleep.His body was exhausted from the overuse of chakra. As his muscles relaxed his mind continued to drift.
He was enjoying pleasant, colorful dreams that were surprisingly unrelated to the battle he just endured. Chakra began to pour back into his reserves which worked to ease his body. His body and mind were enjoying substantial rest.
His drool was leaking onto the pillow as he continued to sleep. His sleep cycle was starting to end as his chakra pool recovered completely. He went through one more dream phase before opening his eyes.
Tetsuhiko's eyes creaked open as he sat up on the sofa and rubbed his right eye with his hand. With the sleeps out of his eyes he felt incredibly refreshed.His brain was jump started, his body was rested, and his chakra was officially back. He looked over and saw numerous familiar faces, beginning with Lady Ayame Hatake's. His eyes jolted open and he sprang up from his seat. He had not seen her since she gave him his headband. "How embarrassing!Did I just fall asleep on the couch in front of the Kazekage?!" What a humiliation, he only hoped his father would not hear of this. He continued to examine the room and saw Sadayo. His heart jolted with an audible gasp as his indigo eyes fixated on her.
With his hands clasped together in delight he mosied on over to her in a deeply in love transe. She seemed shaken for some reason and Tetsuhiko was a bit confused. He continued to walk up to her with a bright smile before speaking. "My love, my desert rose, my sun and stars! Did you see my declaration of love to you before my battle? Did you see that I won for you? The whole village must've heard my proclamation of love." Whether or not the village actually heard him was dubious, but Tetsuhiko was certain of it. "Oh, dear maiden, the Sun caught in your raven hair is blazing in me out of all control." He spoke with words of affirmation as his arms gracefully waved about. He held his hands over his heart before speaking again. "Since I won that match in honor of our love, will you be my girlfriend now?" The innocent thirteen-year-old asked with a delighted smile. "My victory only serves to prove my love for her!" That was how it worked in his puppet plays, anyway.
After roaming the halls of the arena for what felt like several hours, Masato finally found his way up a flight of stairs that would lead to the observation deck. "NO NO NO. I DONT NEED HELP!" He growled at the attendants who seemed to be following him, anticipating some sort of calamity to follow his footsteps. He couldn't grasp why everyone seemed so intimidated when he turned back and shouted. Almost as though they expected him to turn into some monster. He just wanted to find the observation deck. To see Nariomi and take a breather after his training regiment that immediately followed his fight.
Shoving the door into the room with a hard, short motioned slap it would fly open. Loudly and aggressively announcing his presence. A large, zealous grin covered his face as he realized he found the place he'd been looking for. He whipped his body around, looking down the stair case. " I'm here, now shoo!" he said angrily. Turning back around he took note of the audience he had collected in the room."Whats everybody looking at?!" He snarled once more, embarrassed more than angry. He snorted air from his nose as he shook off the awkwardness.
The sleek bar like setting seemed rather luxurious to what he was used to being around. ' this place is so much nicer than the ninshuu temple!' he thought to himself. The vagrant began to wonder if he should find a way to squat here instead of the temple. He took note of Testuhiko near Sadayo. His face contorted as he took in her image. She shrunk back from thier fight and he couldn't grasp the reasoning. He was disappointed in the challenge. When her face embodied an orange mask, he expected a transformation, thus opening his first gate. However...that hadn't been the case and the fool hadn't grasped that concept...yet.
His eyes glanced over the Kazekage and her pet wolf, rather uninterested in her presence. He had come to seek out Nariomi. There he was! He finally spotted him coupled up with a female shinobi he had never met before. Having very little concept of....personal relations....Masato approached, his hand itching at the back of his long black hair. " Aye Teach!" He said as he came to a halt. " You see the match?"
