The train tracks stretch from London to Cardiff, and even to the city of Bath. It is a quick and easy way to traverse the countryside in little under an hour or two, and nobility is seen traveling in this manner. Do not fret, however, as even the commoner can now buy tickets to ferry them across the country. All most show their ticket stub while boarding, and then may enjoy refreshments and a leisurely ride. {London to Cardiff will take two hours. London to Bath will take four. Cardiff to Bath will take two. And so on. One does not have to be on the train for countless posts, but be advised to talk to whomever you are rping with to traverse the country at a pace fitting storytelling.}

So there they were, finally leaving London. They had been on the train for some time now, the doll next to her having unknown emotions. It didn't bother Sentinel, she simply put her belongings near her- at the distress of the train conductor- and sat opposite the doll next to the window. They were almost home, but who knows what could have happened.

Sprinkle a little water,
It glows under lights.
Reflecting its own beauty.

Adelaide followed, silently observing the entire way. Uncertain of what to do with her hands, which were free and in the open air, she ended up folding them and keeping her arms close the entire journey. At the station itself, Sentinel had done the talking, as it was needed, but even then there were very few things said. The tickets were small pieces of paper, stamped with lettering and numbers, and they were permitted to board after passing what seemed to be another archway.

Then there were the trains. The large contraptions exhaled clouds that contained a toxic aroma, and that drifted down and as the clouds fell, they lost their opacity. There were a number of people, with their suits, with their briefcases, entering this square mechanical worm. Sentinel led. Adelaide followed onto the train and sat down beside the pale and strangely dressed maid.

Then, there was silence. Adelaide took in the sounds of the machine. The scream of the protesting metal, the rustling of clothes as riders shifted in their seats, the grumbling roar of the engine, the clicking gears rotating in the wheels beneath them, the way the car rocked as the vehicle moved.

Adelaide was in awe of the huge machine.

Sentinel was doing all she could to stay quiet on their journey. She did not speak more than she needed at the train station, nor did she offer words of encouragement when a trolley man came by to ask for candies and sweets. There had already been a check for their tickets about thirty minutes prior, and thus the doll relaxed into blissful silence once more. She distrusted those who stared longer than needed, though she was dressed out of the customs, especially since she offered no means to cover herself. It took but a glance with her crystal orbs to cease the stammering around her, and so she continued onward. They had just past the line in which London melted away into Cardiff, and it would seem as if Sen's muscles relaxed. She was finally almost home again.

Her mind went briefly to the human and what Yahya was doing to him, but it escaped her to even ponder it. Yahya was more human than many of the dolls, and thus her actions were always so foreign to Sentinel and the sisters. She had fun with the blondes, but that was about it. She barely spoke to the witch nowadays, and when Sentinel asked about her missions, Yahya would not tell her. Was it because Echolesia had ordered her not to? It was on Sentinel's mind more frequently, though she tried to hide it, but with this most recent move she wondered if even Yahya knew what the elder doll was ordered to do. Probably so, she decided as she looked out the window, her palm placed on the underside of her chin. The younger thing was the informant after all.

Sentinel looked over to the seamstress, the look of awe on her features. It took her a moment to realize this must be an amazing feat for the closed off doll, probably never stepping foot out of her home for long. It made the former demon wonder yet again how someone could live such a life. Locked up like an animal, yet treated as if she were a child. How psychological it must be. The doll probably thought she was cared for and loved, now that brought a smile to Sentinel's face. It was a nasty grin, something that looked both maddening and sad. It disappeared in an instance.

"Almost there," she finally said. It was true, the next stop was theirs."Intriguing, isn't it?" Sentinel waved her free hand toward the train's innards as clarification.

The words from Sentinel, being as rare as they were, immediately distracted the almost-dazed doll. She saw the waving motion and joining it to the words and the question.

She agreed emphatically, but the extent of this being revealed was a small smile. She nodded and adjusted how she was sitting, moving so that she could now look out of the window. In the wonder that was within the moving box with seats, she wasn't aware of the world that moved just outside. She ended up staring just beyond Sentinel and out the window.

She wasn't ignorant of the train... or at least... she heard of it before. But this was something beautiful to see. But it moved so fast! Was that safe? She would have to wait for the train to stop. If it could start on its own, then surely it could stop. They were almost there.

... Should she be nervous about that?

"It is very intriguing. It is so noisy and so large. ... How does it move?"

Such a question interested Sentinel to the point she actually responded in full. "It's fascinating. Coal is burned, making steam in the boiler found at the beginning of the train, sometimes the rear. Pistons are connected to the wheels, and the steam moves through facilitating movement. Thus the train moves." She chuckled, yet another thing the doll never did, as she thought of the technological pursuit of the humans. Yes, it was noisy in here, and the wheels squealed on the tracks, but it was.. nice.

Sentinel hated humans, but she did enjoy their advances. The phone, trains, especially guns. All were interesting in and of themselves, and they were still making more. It was as close to their hearts as breeding, it would appear, and Sen had no ill will towards it. She wondered how much longer it would take for them to make even more devastating technology, and that sent shivers up her spine. Yes, she would love to see what they came up with.

Today, however, the wheels of the wheels screamed in protest as the train began to come to a stop. They were about to get off, and then... then the doll will be home again.

Adelaide struggled to picture the description, but that this knowledge was freely given made it that much more cherished as far as this shell of a person was concerned. She might have asked more, were she not so heartily caught up in her curious wondering. Further distracting her from the window was the new protests and screams that the machine made as forward motion changed.

Her head and shoulders lurched forward in response. The momentum that still carried her. Adelaide looked around, searching the expressions of those around. Sentinel seemed calm. So did the other passengers. This was normal.

A person in a suit, one that belonged to the train employees, began to walk from the front of the car, announcing their arrival once they came to a complete stop. Adelaide, lost, looked to Sentinel to have an idea of what to do.

The seamstress was useless, it would seem to Sentinel. She wondered why her lover would want the white haired doll so. It bothered her slightly, annoyed at not knowing the bigger picture, but if her lover willed it, it would happen. There was no point in not allowing it, or speaking against it. There wasn't much she disagreed with, but this might be one of them. She wondered what the young master was going to do with another doll at his side. He bothered them with his young drivelling, so this one should not be let off the hook.

Sentinel beckoned the doll upwards, grabbing their things as another person in a suit called out for those to stand back as the unboarding began. The older doll began to shuffle out, making sure the seamstress was behind her the entire way. Now it was just the matter of hailing a carriage and getting home. She did hope, for a chance, that the seamstress doll would like to talk of trains on the carriage ride over.

Said useless doll was close behind the one named Sentinel. She was ignorant of the disapproving sentiments and also ignorant of the few who might have stared at the odd pair. White hair was remarkably rare in the young. Two of them in one place? Unheard of.

Perhaps it was the choice of attire. A simply-dressed young adult and a toughly-dressed leather-adorned taller one who took the lead. Again, not something that was seen every day.

The train was meant to lead them to the home where the lady lived. Then Adelaide would be able to deliver the dress, receive her payment, and then come back this way.
