Now THIS was a place Macaron could get used to! Food was his forte, and this room was chock full of it! He was set into critique mode, and wandered the room looking at items and judging their accuracy to real life forms.


He had quite forgotten about the egg hunt until he happened across a birds nest of noodles. That reminded him that there was a competition at hand! He buzzed his tiny pegasus wings, slowly rising to peer into the bird's nest.

Choice E
Trying to figure out what to do with pudding from his hoof, he decided to investigate the dark pond and stuck it in, uselessly becoming more sticky than before. On the other hand, it was a very interesting mix that he thoughtfully licked off his hoof. Fireflight repeated the exercise, wondering whether this really was just a pool of molasses.

F. Under a tree with gummy bear berries

Nothing was beautiful and everything hurt. Why did she think this egg hunt was a good idea? When did she discover how high school freshman boys lockers looked like, anyway? Why did she have to learn all about cease-and-desist letters and copyright infringement and how this next room spelt all kinds of potential trouble with Warner Brothers? Wait, was it off the Warner Brothers version? She couldn't remember the differences between all the versions. She couldn't even remember how it was like in the book. The only thing she remembered were square sweets that looked round. There were no square sweets that looked round. Dejectedly, Diamond trudged over to the berries that looked bear.

Everything was beautiful and he didn't trust it not in the slightest. Why? Because Zen could still remember the beautiful underground garden that was quickly overrun by Phony-hungry spiders. The babben shivered and looked around the seemingly harmless room, ears tucked low. That was it: he decided doing these was no longer in the best interest of his...anything.

Nothing looked safe. All the options seemed like something could jump out or fall out or crawl out and otherwise traumatize him (again). After waffling for some time (and deciding waffles sounded good after all this), he made his decision, slowly making his way towards the lollipops.

The little cub huffed, was not pleased at not recovering an egg after all the trouble in the previous room. With a displeased look on her face she smoothed her skirt and trotted towards the next area.

The bear was really surprised at how... different this area was than the last, but still had that perennial stubborn frown on her face, moving left to right, surveying all the areas. Everything was too nice... The white cub looked upwards to the tree, spotting a birds nest with chocolate noodles. First of all chocolate was the best out of everything, and birds nest = eggs, right? She had a sneaking suspicion something would attack after but .. she could pack a wallop with her small paws.

Choice Four Results!

If you chose A...

You go to search a field of beautiful buttercups. These are at least ten times the size of a normal buttercup and smell like butterscotch. Tentatively you take a nibble- they just smell so good and you haven’t eaten in hours- and are rewarded with a luscious, creamy sweetness. Mmmmmmm. You get pretty caught up in eating your way through the flowers, but as you take a bite, you realize the next bloom over has an egg inside! How nice!

If you chose B...

A delightful patch of daisies catches your eye, and you meander over. You know the old song goes “Please, please, don’t eat the daisies,” but you have explicit permission to do so, and so you give into temptation and take a bite. The petals taste like spun sugar; the smiling yellow center is a rich lemon crème, tangy and sweet all at once. As you mosey along, meandering through the meadow, you come across a bright yellow egg tucked away under the daisies. Score!

If you chose C...

The lollipop forest caught your eye right away- the lovely lollies swirl and twist tall, the tallest candies you’ve ever seen. Braided twists of yellow and pink and blue rise just above your head; it would probably take you weeks to finish one of these by yourself. That doesn't stop you from stretching up for a nice long lick, though. The air is thick, almost sticky with their sweet fragrance, but the forest itself is almost sparse; lollipop sticks don’t really have branches. Boiled sweet animals decorate the sticks; here a squirrel, there a possum, over yonder a bird, but it isn’t hard for you to find an egg behind a sugary lizard!

In low branches on various and sundry candy cane trees, you see what looks like birds’ nests! You figure that this is an obvious place to hide eggs- and sometimes the obvious places are obvious for a reason. But when you get over there, you find that the nests are full of marshmallow Peeps. It looks like the eggs have already hatched (because of course that makes sense- plastic Easter eggs hatch forth marshmallow Peeps), but wait! Under one of the Peeps, you spot it. An egg!

If you chose E...

You approach the molasses pond, pausing to admire the pirouline reeds clustered at the pond’s edge. Buttery blossoms kiss pancake lily pads and chocolate frogs peek out from peanut brittle logs. It’s a lovely little pond, quite nice to stroll around and even nicer to taste. As you bend to have a little nibble of a particularly nice-looking lilypad, you see it in a clump of fairy floss moss. Hooray! An egg! It's incredibly sticky, but it's all yours.

If you chose F...

The largest trees, structures of chocolate almond bark mounted on an inner frame, have wide fruit leather leaves and adorable berries. Bear berries, each one the size of an orange or apple. The small orchard drips honey from unoccupied beehives, and though some places might be sticky, you don’t hesitate to lick your hands or hooves. The smell of the place is practically intoxicating; the sweetness of the candy and the richness of the honey combine with the depth of the dark chocolate bark to create a lovely, heady aroma. It's so tranquil here. You reach out to pick the nearest gummy bear, and an egg is dislodged from its spot! Excellent!

and some of y'all mister falcons didn't trust the candy room...

Your time in the candy room was over way, way too soon. It isn't long before Jump Scare ushers you into the next room, grinning madly. You had a lot of fun in the peaceful candy meadow, but now you’re getting nervous. Why does he look so happy? Why is he wearing a white polyester suit instead the top hat from earlier? He hands each of you a knife, a fork, and a bib. “I hope you’re not too full from the last room,” he says, a giggle in his voice. “The appetizer was nice, but now it’s time for the main course. You see, I’ve hidden all the eggs inside some lovely homemade dishes for you! But the trick is that you only get to keep the egg if you finish the dish… and some of these dishes don’t have any eggs! At least, any Easter eggs. They might have eggs in them… but that’s for you to discover! Remember, anybody caught trying to feed their meal to the dog gets sent to bed with no dessert!” Jump Scare winks at you. It is not a kind wink. He flips a switch and an elaborate light fixture flickers to life over the next portion of the hunt.

You look on in horror. There are folding card tables set out in alternating avocado and harvest gold. Faux tortoiseshell wood paneling lines the walls, and each place is set with plum-colored enamelware. Egg-shaped chairs are placed at each table, with a different dish in front of each one. Each dish is more hideous than the next, but you know you’ll have to eat one of them if you want to continue.

After snagging the egg from the dragon lizard thing of sugar, Obi follows Jump into the next room.

".....this looks like when I attempted making other things then pies....hmmm"

Peering over every....delightful frightening dish with glee, she sat herself in front of the gallon jug. After, she was feeling a bit thirsty.

Choice D. Vegetable Hi-Hat

After finding another egg, her and the other phonies were sent into the next room. Well... she wasn't sure what to think about all these foods before her. Everyone else looked disgusted, but she actually didn't find some of them too disgusting. The Vegetable Hi-Hat didn't look that bad after all, but that may be because she actually liked vegetables.

Heading over to a plate with it, she began to eat it. How bad could it be?

Huzzah! Foxtrot had a feeling she'd find an egg in a nest, it was only natural after all! Gleeing to herself as she now had two eggs, she had little more time to think before being ceremoniously shoved to the next room as always with the rest of the bunch. Eyeing the tables, egg shaped chairs and strange dishes, she stopped at one that resembled a fish. Peering at the strange olive eyes, the small purple mare shrugged and dug in. No guts no glory right? Maybe it would actually taste pretty good? She hoped....

"I’ve changed my mind again," Shrill X said as she stood in front of the variety of dishes, "this is still the worst." But she’d found four eggs so far and she couldn’t quit now and she had to admire how diabolical Jump Scare was.

Cracking her neck from one side to the other, Shrill X donned her bib, saluted their host and started to chow down with only a minimum amount of gagging.
