The rider Charizard touched down in Malie City right outside a massive archway. Ashley frowned and looked around; were they supposed to search the city or the area past the gate? He noticed a placard on the wall that identified the area past the entrance as Malie Garden and he pulled out the brochure that indicated the areas that the eggs were located in. It appeared he would indeed be searching the inside the garden area; the ride had apparently touched down here due to it being prohibited to fly in the garden. How strange. With that clarified though, Ashley let Genevieve down once more and walked into Malie Garden to hunt for the second to last egg.

While Ashley took in the sights and mulled over this new discovery, Genevieve set out to locate the egg. Her first checking place was a nearby field of grass and what looked to be… bamboo? Genevieve froze a moment at the sound of shuffling nearby, perking up and looking at the area. For a moment, she thought it was Ashley coming to find her again like earlier, though a bit of looking revealed that was not the case. She felt the hairs on the back of her fur begin to stand up as the shuffling occurred again. There was nothing around here so… why did it feel like something was watching her? She didn’t entirely enjoy that feeling. But she did want to find the egg. Bucking up, she put on a face of determination and continued her search through the thick area. Eventually, she found an egg and that dissipated temporarily the feeling that she was being watched. She clamped the plastic egg into her mouth and raised her head in pride, turning to begin her way back to Ashley. Her eyes snapped open though as a sharp yapping noise caught her attention and something pretty much fell from above towards her in what looked to be an attack.

Genvieve gave a muffled yelp and immediately bolted from the area back towards the direction she’d left Ashley. She wasn’t sure if she was being attacked by a predator or if something was trying to steal the egg she’d just acquired but she wasn’t going to go down that easily. She didn’t bother to confront whatever it was that attempted to assault her; she could tell that apparently it was still following close with the intent to finish the job possibly. She gave a frantic chirp to get the man’s attention.
Ashley heard and snapped his head around, frowning as he noticed the frantic way Genevieve was running at him. He immediately spotted something perusing her though… it seemed to cause him some confusion. Genevieve just chirped again for assistance. He wasn’t entirely certain of the situation nor of the threat but instead of mulling over it any longer, produced a free pokeball and chucked it at the strange creature. It seemed to yelp in surprise as it was sucked into the ball, the thing rocking and dinging to indicate the catch was successful. Genevieve came to a halt, panting, and dropping the egg for Ashley to retrieve before glancing back at the pokeball. Good riddance.
Ashley in the meantime, retrieved the ball, a look of slight confusion on his face. It was something he’d need to address though with the egg collected decided would be done the next place over. It was just… odd.

If the opponent was going to use such weak leveled Dragon Pokemon then that would suit her just fine. If Dratini was overwhelmed then she had Vaporeon’s Ice-type attack to deal some heavy damage. So with the Trainer’s Dratini down for the count they quickly replaced it with yet another Dratini. Misa would keep her own on the field to the point where it would have an extremely difficult time in handling anymore Dragon Pokemon. Hopefully that wasn’t the case for this battle.

Thankfully her Dratini could live to another battle. There was no need to switch it out while the other Trainer was readying their next Pokemon. Dratini would most likely stick around this fight but the next one was questionable. The Pokemon were getting stronger and there was no guarantee that her Dratini was going to survive. So she could only hope that the next Dragon Pokemon didn’t have a set of Dragon-type moves that could take down her precious Dratini. For even though they had only been together for a short while it was still a precious Pokemon type.

Things were going well for Dratini. Though the next couldn’t be as great since it typically got stronger from here on out. Though they had been about nine levels weaker than her Pokemon. Thankfully Dratini had just leveled up but there were no new moves to show for it. That didn’t mean Dratini was out of the battle because of this. Battling against an opponent that proved to be a bit of trouble for Dratini was something she wished she could see. It would be nice to fight against an opponent that could give Dratini a bit of a hard time. Maybe the next Pokemon could do just that.

Climbing onto her bird companion, they went off to their final destination.

Unfortunately for Adder, Ten Carat Hill was the one and only familiar place on the list of eggs. It took away some of the 'happiness' he'd been feeling, and dampened his spirits, but he begrudgingly decided to just go to the furthest locations and work his way back again. Which was how he ended up here, in Malie Garden, despite his now increasing home sickness. He actually kind of missed his mom... He even missed Drey. Frowning, and even biting his lip some, Adder pulled out his phone and fidgeted with it. Even though he was looking at the screen, between his hands, he was somehow sort of unaware of the pokemon just beside it, still holding to his wrist. Cling looked up at him, though, studying his features. He could read the uncertainty on his face. He wasn't really sure what to make of it, though. The kid might have been a bit softer than he thought, but he still behaved in some pretty questionable ways. Letting his pokemon wander, shoving them, yelling at them... Perhaps he wasn't a danger, but Cling still wasn't really sure he wanted to just let him go unmonitored.

Settling back in, Cling closed his eyes and rested his head atop his own body, still coiled about the boy's wrist. He had no intention of leaving it, either, regardless of what the kid tried. He could attempt to put him back in that... space-thing, but he would just struggle his way out once more. He might not have been quite as carefree, or lofty, as some of his other species, but he was incredibly stubborn, and determined. He had many of the other characteristics they had, too, just in... quieter, more subtle doses. He was social, but quiet, adventurous, yet grounded. Some of the other Klow used to follow him due to his stoic nature, let him lead the way on their adventures into towns, or through the trees. And he'd been perfectly comfortable leading them.

Cling was also perfectly comfortable with his size. He was content being small, even though he knew his species could evolve and get larger. Perhaps for reasons like this; he could hold onto an entire individual, just by wrapping around their smallest portion. He couldn't do much, but he could be there. And he liked being there. Present, aware, observant, able to try and intervene, if he wanted. It was just a part of his nature.

For now, though, Cling wasn't sure he wanted to interfere. He was still getting a read on the kid, and even if there was something going on, his methods of lashing out were far from an appropriate way to deal with it. Adjusting itself, it noticed that, yet again, one of the kid's other pokemon had gained one of the.... thingies they were collecting, and Adder was trying to get everyone together. He didn't miss that the kid immediately looked down the moment he felt him move, and in response, he narrowed his eyes and tightened his hold some, assuring him that no, he was not letting go. And he wouldn't be any time soon, either.
