Gannon was a bit surprised by Elohari’s suggestion that he give her a tour of the Academy tomorrow. He’d been hoping to catch up on his work, on his day off, but he supposed if she was going to be the new Diviner Professor then yes, she should have a tour. He could ask Lerato or Vivienne to do it, but this was his responsibility.

“Uh…Yes, I suppose I could give you a tour of the Academy, Ms. Elohari.” Arising from his seat, he followed her over to the door and saw her out. “Yes, until tomorrow. Have a wonderful evening.” Watching her walk out, he hoped she could find her way back…she seemed a bit…ethereal and whimsical. Closing the door he headed back to his desk. He had a long night ahead of him.

[-Time Skip to the Next Day-]

Releasing a heavy sigh, Gannon rubbed his eyes. He’d been up late into the night catching up on his work. He’d gone home for a few hours of sleep before coming back in to do more work early this morning. At this rate, he was going to pass out from exhaustion. He truly hoped the students liked Elohari, she was his only hope. If she filled the position, then he’d have just a bit more time to see to his Court Mage duties.

Leaning back in his chair Gannon released a very heavy sigh. “I don’t think I can go on like this much longer, Brageet…” Brageet, turned her elegant head to look at him, a knowing look in her eyes. <<’Darling, you need to rest. Today is supposed to be a free day. Give yourself a break.’>> Shaking his head, he closed his eyes.

“And what about Ms. Elohari? Should I tell her to just wander around the campus instead of giving her the grand tour?” He knew he was being crabby, but he couldn’t help it. <<’No, you show her around the Academy and then let her wander around on her own so she can get acquainted and then we go home and you get some well-deserved and much needed rest.’>> Brageet was using her ‘firm’ tone with him, which meant that he was in for it if he didn’t follow her advice.

“I supposed that will work…but I have no way of knowing when she will arrive. So, until then, I will work.” Brageet gave him an angry series or chirps in reply. Glancing at her, he arched a brow as if to say ‘really?’ only to have her ruffled her feathers in agitation at him.

Despite his hope that Elohari would take her time in coming to seek him out for her tour, it wasn't more than an hour or so later that he hear three, slow, deliberate knocks on his door. Releasing a sigh, he placed his quill in it's holder before arising from his seat. Stopping next to Brageet's perch, he knelt so she could climb up onto his shoulder. Once settled, he headed for the door.

Upon opening it, his eyes went a bit wide as he took in the sight of Ms. Elohari and her outfit. It was unlike anything he'd ever seen before. It was exotic and a bit...revealing. Clearing his throat a bit, he offered her a smile. "Good Morning, Ms. Elohari. It's nice to see you again."

Eloahri locked eyes with the taller man who wore a similar colored outfit. She spread her lips into a small smile and gave a questioned look "Surprised to see me? I did tell you I would visit, did I not?" Her voice slow and deliberate as her eyes removed themselves from Gannons own and eyed his outfit. Soon enough she would step herself in, eyes locking once more to Gannons own and smiling once more "You're quite handsome today. Trying to impress your spouse?" Elohari broke eye contact and entered into the room.

Taking a look around once more, twirling about, she would land facing toward Gannon and smile widely "Ms. Brageet! A pleasure to see your wide eyes. I am Elohari Mehra, possibly the new professor if your old man takes a liking to me." Eloahri would speak in a chipper tone, cheeks crunching together to form a very youthful face. Elohari wasn't one for makeup, at least in these times where it was still made out of disgusting things. Her face bared nearly no visible pores, giving off a very dewy and rather beautiful look. Then again, it was morning. As the day would go on surely oils would build up, but Elohair had a natural beauty many couldn't beat.

Blinking a bit, he shook his head a bit at Elohari’s comment. He wasn’t necessarily surprised to see her, just surprise to see her, as in her skin. Taking a step back as she stepped close, he moved to the side to allow her entrance into his office. “Uh, no, I wouldn’t say I was trying to impress anyone.” He liked to dress well, if he happened to look good, then it was a pleasant coincidence.

Elohari twirled about happily, clearly in her own little world. As she stopped, she smiled wide as she caught sight of Brageet. He was amused that Elohari knew to address her directly. Many assumed that Brageet was just a pet, but she was so much more than that.

<<’Oooo~, I like her. She seems sweet, if a bit whimsical and she thinks you’re old.’>> Shaking his head a bit, he sighed lightly. “Brageet likes you.” Reaching up, he gently caressed Brageet’s chest feathers with his fingertips. She chirped happily, clicking her beak as her gaze went half lidded. Taking a closer look at Elohari, he had to hand it to her,, she was quite beautiful and youthful. He saw her as a carefree soul, someone that could likely connect with the students on a level that he couldn’t.

“If you like, we can begin the tour of the Academy. I’m sure you’re curious about the campus and all that it has to offer.” He said with a friendly smile. <<’I am so out of my element, Brageet….I’m not a social person and I have no experience with women…’

Brageet’s mind voice was like a soothing caress as she chuckled in amusement. <<’Oh, Gannon…this is going to be very entertaining…’>> He knew this was going to be a challenge for him and highly entertaining for her. He had to wonder what Elohari would think of all this.

"Bummer" Elohari would kid, though not entirely at his notion that he simply dressed to dress, not to impress. Elohari never dressed to impress others but to her own. She loved to love herself, which she chose in her clothing style and her hair. It was obvious the women hadn't a care in the world for opinions of herself, especially those of physical. She had the oddest tattoos on her fingers, thus being pitch black. Many were rather creeped out by it, looked dirty they said. In her culture, they would die their fingertips colors depending on their soul. Tattooing was of course for the adults. And when you came of age, you were allowed such. You might ask why black, well black is a pure color. There is no question, much like white. Black is often perceived as evil, but to Elohari it bore a calmness that centered her to this day.

Many didn't know of the tattoo on the palm of her hand, not many seeing such things. But when they did, it would be the all-seeing eye. It takes up most of her palm, something she got to assist her in her day to day life. Regardless, dressing for someone can be wonderful, but dressing for yourself brings its own set of pleasures.

Elohari smiles softly "Good. It can be quite lonely not making friends here, especially such beautiful ones." She would wink and let a wisp of a laugh pass her lips. Eyes trailed along the room once more, admiring such beauties when he suggested the tour. "I can wait if needed, you seemed preoccupied prior to thy arrival. Waiting means nothing but peace for me." Her hands gently clasped themselves together just in front of her hips "But if you are eager, guide me." Her hand raising upwards, a twinkle in her eye.

Gannon felt his cheeks heat in a bit of a blush as Elohari alluded to the fact that she didn’t mind making beautiful friends. Considering the he was the only person she’d met on campus, as far as he knew, he had to wonder if she was teasing him or offering him a compliment – he just couldn’t seem to tell with her.

The way she spoke had such a wistfulness to it, he had to wonder if she had ever suffered any misfortune in her life. People in the city always seemed to have an edge to them, attributes that alluded to them being jaded in some way or another. But Elohari had no such edge, as far as he could tell. She was unique in all the world.

Smiling a bit, he nodded. “I appreciate the offer, however if you allow me to go back to my desk to work, I will sit down and not get back up for several hours, possibly not for the rest of the day. And since I offered you a tour, you shall have one. Come,” He said as he gestured to the still open door. Allowing her to step out first, the followed her out before closing and locking the door behind them.

“Why don’t we head over to the Diviner Classroom. There are plenty of things to see along the way and it will help if you know where to go tomorrow for your first lesson.” Gesturing down the hall, he began to walk as a leisurely pace.

As the pair headed for the classrooms, Gannon pointed out the Auditorium, which they peeked into. He explained that the area was mainly used for meetings when needed, as well as orientation and theatre, if the students were so inclined. From there they walked past the main courtyard and then on to the wing of the Academy that housed many of the Knit Classrooms. Stopping just outside the Diviner Classroom, Gannon grabbed the door handle and opened the way for her, allowing Elohari to enter first to see the space for herself.

It had been surprising to Jesse to hear that Gannon had actually been able to understand her - No other human she had ever tried to talk with had done much more than tilt their head or laugh and pet her, saying she was a "Silly Pup." Yet as she was beginning to learn, the Academy was full of surprises and each day was a whole new adventure. After their parting, Jesse had headed back to he dorm room, tucking into her stash of biscuits - which seemed to go a lot further in her Fox Form, before curling up on her pillows with a book, reading until she felt tired enough to fall asleep.

Waking early, she would take a moment to freshen up, helping herself to a few more biscuits and making plans to buy some more to replenish her stock before seeking out her little friend and making a bee-line for Gannon's Office. She remains as of yet, unaware of her roommate, although she is certain their paths have crossed at least once beforehand?

Having set off so early, Jesse had the luxury of speeding through the corridors at a rate of knots without having to worry about avoiding any large footed and probable rather sleep students on their way to their lessons... She did however move with enough care and caution not to throw her companion off and lose her in the run. The thought had crossed her mind to try some needlework and perhaps create a little saddle for herself so Silme had something better than just the guard hairs on the scruff of her neck to hold onto...but without the supplies - which she would perhaps go in search of during her next free day - she had been content to read instead.

Rather than grinding to a sudden halt outside Gannon's doorway, Jesse would follow the trail until it became strongest and then slow to a stop, turning her head towards the nameplate on the door before turning her head back towards Silme, "Would you like me to knock?" she would sit down, contemplating returning to her human form before remembering that she would become blind to the female's presence if she did... If Silme agreed, then Jesse would become human, if not, she would remain in her Fennec Form and wait patiently to see what happened next.

The night after the knit class day certainly was new. Silme had spent it remaining within the grasp of the fennec fox she had grown so attached to in the past few days. The book was brought near the female as the two would spend a good portion of the night reading. The fae would be the one to stay up the latest, still hanging onto her nocturnal tendencies. It would be around midnight or so before she drifted off to sleep. She was awoken by the sound of paws running around the room, deciding to remain in bed before being fully roused out of her bed thanks to Jesse's efforts. She certainly had that charm about her to get somebody's attention. Maybe it was that adorable form she had been in? "I am awake, regrettably." In all honesty, Silme would have killed to get another hour of precious shut eye or so. Her wings took her to the air while she watched Jesse run about before they were ready to go. "Let us depart with great haste."

The ride over was a tad more controlled than normal, though the fairy found herself still needing to cling to the fox's form as she ran. Gannon's office was a short distance away, soon cleared in full thanks to the world's fastest fox. Once they stood in front of the door, Silme unmounted Jesse and gave a nod. "If you would be so kind." She would wiat for the fox to return to her human form before riding on top of her head, between the two ears that graced themselves upon her head. She was eager to speak with Gannon and Jesse today, hoping it would be quite productive.

After speaking with Elohari and arranging to meet with her the following day, Gannon had turned his attention back to Kayl. Upon exiting the class, he helped carry the boy’s bags toward the male dorms. Along the way, Gannon pointed out various buildings on the campus, the auditorium, the kitchens/cafeteria, the buildings where various electives were held. It was a short tour, but he knew that Kayl would likely want to explore the campus on his own.

Upon reaching the dorms, he pointed out the female dorms and explained how the female dorms were off limits to the male student body and vice versa. While he knew that this rule could only go so far, it was still one that needed to be on place - although some students liked to ignore it completely. Escorting Kayl to Mikhail's room, he made sure Kayl was settled before asking him to meet him at his office the following day, at any time he chose. It wasn't until after Gannon had left Kayl that he realized that he was going to be very busy the following day...

    -The Following Morning-

"I swear Brageet, someone comes in here and stacks more work on my desk when I'm not here! It's never ending!" He growled, already irritated with all that he had to do. One had to wonder if his fellow court mages were sneaking their work into his pile. But given that he hadn't seen Lerato or Vivienne in several days, if not a week or more, he suspected they were just as busy as him.

<<'You can always quit, you know.'>> Brageet said with a lilt to her voice. She knew full well that he wouldn't quit his job, at least not with the new school year just beginning - the end of the year, that was when you quit. Sighing, Gannon shook his head and ran his fingers through his hair, tossing it a bit as he did. His tea cup had been drained long ago and his stomach was demanding something more substantial than what was essentially 'leaf water'.

"Yeah...but then who would watch after the school? I swear, this place would collapse if it wasn't built on such sturdy foundation." Leaning back in his chair, his stomach growled again. Frowning, he knew there was nothing to be done. He was expecting guests at any moment, so he didn’t have time to pop on over to the kitchen to grab a snack, or breakfast for that matter. When was the last time he’d eaten?

One a few minutes later, he heard the softest knock on his door. Sighing a bit, he hoped that it was someone with breakfast, though that was highly unlikely. Arising from his seat, he smoothed out his doublet before walking over to open the door for his guests. Much to his surprise, and delight, it was Jesse and Silme. Smiling, his mood instantly brightening at the dight of the petite shifter and fae, he opened the door wider to allow them entry. “Good morning, you two. Come in, come in.” Ushering them inside, he closed the door behind them before turning back toward his desk.

Brageet was perched on her favorite stand, her eyes half-lidded as she watched the two enter the room. Soon enough, she’d be asleep, dozing happily while Gannon worked. But in the meantime, she kept an eye on the visitors.

“Please, have a seat.” Taking his own seat, he gestured to the comfortable chair on the other side of his desk. “It’s nice to see you both again. I admit, I’m excited to learn about the Fae.” He knew full well that if Elijah knew a legendary Fae was on the campus, he’d set up camp in Gannon’s office and question Silme for days – the Head Librarian was just too curious. Although, if anyone knew anything about the Fae, legend or not, it was Elijah…

Having returned to her human form Jesse had taken a moment to look around - still keeping an eye out for her friend - before knocking upon the door. It had been the softest of knocks, but as a Shifter, to rap too loudly upon a door was sometimes a little loud - especially for her ears.

It was so nice to see Gannon's smiling face - she'd almost forgotten the furrowed brow which she'd witnessed after interrupting his class the day beforehand, although even with the thought at the very back of her mind, she preferred this expression left her feeling happy and bubbly. "Thanks" she would smile back as they were invited in, feeling the touch of her little friend as she landed on her head.

There was always that temptation to take on her Fennec Form - especially now she knew that Gannon could hear and understand her, yet at the same time, she knew she had to appear human at some point, otherwise she might just forget how to be one. She would take a seat, sinking into the comfortable chair before lifting her gaze, hoping to see a shimmer of light as the male expressed his excitement to learn more about Silme,

"I brought the book I borrowed from the library with me," she would take the red tome from the pouch on her belt before placing it so that the words faced the Mage, "It's quite interesting to read, but we're still left with a lot of questions..." she would fall silent, feeling it was perhaps best to allow the Fae to take over the conversation.

Should she feel Silme lift from atop her head, Jesse would draw her knees up to her chest, reverting back to her Fennec Form before curling up in the chair to watch and listen.

Jesse grew again as SIlme was lifted higher into the air, sitting between the floppy ears of the fox girl's. After several knocks or so, the door was opened to allow for the two to come inside. Gannon stood, holding the door open with a much more cheery smile than yesterday. Although he couldn't see her possibly because of her position, Silme still sent a friendly wave in his direction. Brageet would be perched near the mage as always, looking about as awake as the fae herself felt. It was hard being awake during the day like this. How on earth did these humans do this every day? "Greetings, Gannon." Silme gently rubbed her eyes to fully awaken herself as Jesse would near the desk. She took a step forward, after ruffling a bit of hair from her friend, and flew down from atop the mountain of creamy white hair.

Her descent was slow and calculated. She fell on the open book that Jesse had put down, her feet resting on a passage about an introduction to the fae's kind. It seemed like a fairly old tome, the pages wounded with time. Pieces of the page had been ripped or torn off, but it still was readable to an extent. Maybe that red stain in the corner was just wine. Silme would begin. "It is wonderful to see you once more, Gannon." Her head turned to face the fluffed owl with a smile. "As are you, Brageet. Next time we meet, I shall do my best to procure a gift for you of some kind." Her attention focused back on Gannon before bringing both hands together, looking up before his large head. "I suppose you will want to know everything. I will do my best to teach you what I know. I will begin when you are ready."

Glancing at the book, Gannon didn’t get to read much before Silme landed on it, grabbing his attention. The little fae was quiet lovely. Smiling warmly down at her, he tilted his head to the side a bit as he listened to her speak. He glanced over his shoulder at Brageet as Silme greeted her as well.

<<’Ooooo~ I like her already. The fae are usually afraid of me. They think I’ll swoop down and eat them for breakfast, but I’m merely curious about them, like you.’>> Brageet said with a chirp as she fluffed her feathers a bit and shifted on her post. Gannon chuckled lightly, turning to look back at Silme.

“She likes you, and eagerly awaits any gift you might bring her.” He said with a smile before leaning in to whisper, “She likes strawberries.” Sitting back in his chair he nodded at Silme’s next words. “Yes Silme, if you could tell me everything, that will help me to help you.” Settling back in his chair, he waited to hear her story, eager to learn about the fae.

The day had ended on a rather positive note, Elohari could not have been happier with the result that came forth from her lecture. She knew not many would understand her ways, weather it be her speach or the way she taught. Soon enough everyone would understand her little knits and perhaps even come to follow in her teachings. It was too soon to tell just who might florish with her teaching and who might deal better with a rough, more basic schooling. Only time will tell.

Elohari spent the rest of her day simply enjoying the peace and quietness of it all at the tavern she currently stayed at. She had been caught by the city guards quite a lot sleeping out in the pastures just a few feet from the outskirts of the city. She truly enjoyed nature and it's beings. Sleeping and stargazing where something very common to her, the mix obviously. She adored learning of the stars names and the rich stories that came from them. However, it seemed the city guards didn't quite like their professor sleeping out on the ground with only a small blanket as coverage.

- The Following Morning-

Elohari had awoke from her bed rather early, typically sunrise. Following her daily routine soon she would be off to visit Gannon another visit. She had seen him quite a lot these last few days, not that she minded. She was more so worried he'd come to dislike her, given the fact many people couldn't exactly handle her.... oddness.

Today when she awoke, she noted the faint smell of rain coming. As she pryed the window open, inhaling deep, a small smile. Oh how she loved the rain. Her eyes peered over the land, noting the leaves seeminly open and ready for rainfall. Other flowers seemed to hide... perhaps it wasn't going to be just rain... And with that, it was time to get dressed.

Elohari choice of fabric today was rather thick and full of warmth. She adorned herself with a skirt and blouse. The skirt bore multiple layers of fabric adding a hefty weight to her and kept her warm. The blouse was loose fit, a sweetheart type neckline with her typical draped sleeves. However, each fabric choice was a bit thicker than her typical sheer type. She was preparing for the storm in a sense. She opted out of jewelry and soon made her way out the door to the academy.

The walk wasn't long and soon enough Elohari was inside the academy en route to Gannons office. She was unsure of exactly their time of meeting. The two hadn't exactly discussed a certain time frame. She assumed mid morning or afternoon would be appropriate. Thus she knocked on the door and awaited the acceptance into his office. Through the thick door she could heart soft nothings of the three speaking. Her brow furrowed slightly, curious who just might be in his office. They sounded young, perhaps students?

Glad to see her friend again - and content that Gannon would be able to hear her in this form, Jesse would watch as her little friend lifted into the air and fluttered across to where she would come to land in the centre of the book,

It was interesting to hear that Brageet liked strawberries, they weren't always that easy to come by, but when she made it to Botany in a few days time, perhaps she could ask the tutor if they could procure some for the Owl?
"I wonder what other things she likes?" she would look towards the Owl, her large ears flicking back a little, "Hopefully not little foxes...I thought you might eat me when I first saw you, but I think I'm more afraid of the Bear tutor in my Shifter class...he could swallow me in one mouthful if he wanted..." She would tilt her head as a strange sound met her ears, twisting her ears towards the noise before coming to the conclusion that the Mage himself might just be a little peckish... "I have some cookies back in my room, I could always go get them?" she would look towards the male, a sweet, foxy grin on her face,

It was clear everyone was eager to hear what Silme had to say - She certainly seemed happier when they'd found the book and given her an 'almost' name, but there were still many mysteries about the Fay they had yet to uncover, Jesse had been curled up in the comfy chair and ready for Story Time but would now lift her head, flicking back her ears as someone knocked upon the door - it felt resounding to her, but only for a brief moment, then she was quickly on her feet, her little paws placed upon the arm of the chair as she poked her head around the side to see who might just be knocking.

"Strawberries. I will have to keep that in mind when we next meet." Silme spoke to Gannon as she sat down on top of the weathered page of the tome. Underneath her was a small illustration of what the artist, at the time, thought the form of a fairy would appear like. When compared to the one in front of the human, it was quite the comparison. For starters, Silme looked fairly more human-like than the depiction, and even sported a fairly well kept dressed instead of being nude without any graphic bodily features present. Some artists seemed to be weird like that. "Very well, let's start at the beginning then, shall we?" While still not remember a good majority of her memories thus far, the fae had still read the book enough during the night to better teach Gannon now. He could probably deduce that from her admittance during her speaking, but it was most certainly better than nothing. It was an informative book, even if it was old and looked as if it had seen better days. "It all began in a kingdom of fae long forgotten by the ilks of man and fae ali-" A knock on the door had interrupted the fae's speech, turning her head to the door past Jesse's adorable fox form. Silme would turn back to Gannon after hiding beneath the page directly under the one that she was sitting on.Laying down, her lavender head popped up from the top book. "Are you expecting somebody else?"

“Don’t worry, Jesse, Brageet knows you’re a friend and would never hurt you, let alone eat you.” He said reassuringly. <<’I like how you didn’t mention that I do prey on small animals…’>> Brageet’s voice lilted through his mind, a light chuckle following along their link. Gannon knew full well that Brageet was mainly a carnivore, but Jesse didn’t need to know that.

Gannon was about to turn his attention back to Silme when Jesse spoke again. Blushing a bit, he chuckled lightly. “Thank you for the offer, Jesse…But I’ll be alright. I’ll get something to eat soon.” He’d forgotten that shifters had acute hearing and given how large Jesse’s ears were, he could only imagine how loud his stomach sounded to her.

As Silme began her tail, Gannon found himself shifting to the edge of his seat. He was eager to hear what the delicate fae had to say. "It all began in a kingdom of fae long forgotten by the likes of man and fae ali-" Silme hadn’t said one full sentence before there was a knock on the door. Sighing, he knew that it had to be either Elohari or Kayl that was at his door. Looking from the door, back to the book, he smiled as he saw Silme hiding under the page.

“Yes, I apologize. Let me see who it is, who knows? Maybe they can help too.” Arising from his seat, he made his way to the door. Upon opening it, he was surprised to see Elohari standing there. It was still rather early in the day, but he assumed she was merely eager to learn about the new position and what it entailed.

“Good morning, Elohari.” Glancing past her, he noted how the skies had darkened to a dull grey and the rain that had only been sprinkling before was now coming down much harder. The rumble in the air told him all he needed to know – thunderstorms. Stepping aside, he gestured for her to come inside. “Please come in. I’m meeting with a student and her….friend, at the moment. But you are welcome to join us.” As soon as Elohari was inside, he closed the door to the chill.

Heading toward the open fireplace at the far side of the room, he grabbed another plush chair for her to sit in. Placing it beside Jesse's, he smiled. “Elohari, this is Jesse, she’s one of the Academy’s shifter students.” Noting the chill in the hair, he glanced back at the fire. “Let me get a fire going to help warm up the room. Have a seat Elohari…” That being said, he walked back over to the fireplace to stack the wood and begin to kindle the fire.
