Mesnei was sure she'd gotten it this time. But the result was so similar to the same two nights before, and Mesnei was getting sick of her mess ups. She didn't feel good, trying so hard only to mess it up because it exploded by itself! It was it's fault for rolling there, where she tripped... And fell... And soon after, she heard and felt explosions. Mesnei was quiet. Phelie minded her own business. But often times, that was the worst of all reactions. She wiped a tear from the side of her eye. She didn't do anything wrong! What happened this time?!

Goodness. After the second application of his oils, Ganyma realized he didn't have very much of it on at all. That wasn't to say he was kinda shiny from sweat, but with how much he had worked on himself he wasn't looking like a competitor. But, there wasn't much he could do about that. Ganyma was still having a good time, and he was sure that no matter what he looked like at the end of the night he'd wash it all off and feel as soft as a wiggler. Dang, that'd feel nice.

In the meantime, Ganyma considered the accessories he was given. He accidentally found himself covered in glitter to start with (that stuff gets everywhere!) so the only other thing he could think of doing was getting some sparklers to light off. That'd show off nicely on the glitter and would be pretty glitzy indeed!

Chiara had done this to mostly have fun, make fun of others, and generally be a pain. If she wanted to show of muscles she had a trick up her sleeve. She had been working out, it just felt a little silly to go out of her way too much when she could just shape-shift and give herself all the buff beautiful muscles she could ever want. The blueblood decided her time was better spent lounging then bothering with something she could just fix on the fly.

The blueblood decided to mosey around; look at what the others were doing. A few kids sat in groups, appearing to be messing with something or other. It annoyed Chiara, how they ran around pretending to be important. Kids. They were full of themselves. Not to say that she had not rememberd how she had been as a kid. Yeah, if life were fair she would have some leniency, but seadwellers weren't fair, so why should she be.

Static was heartbroken. Yesterday he had only managed to get one firework to work properly, and tonight the very first one he tried sizzled and died. He felt himself duying inside just a bit. He wanted to see lights! Flashes! Explosions! All the things he had always wanted in life and finally had a chance to grasp were coming down. No fireworks westerday, no fireworks tonight, the blueblood considered just lying down and being done for the night. Except he couldn't stay outside on the floor during the day, that was suicide. No, he would just have to accept this unfortunate event and move on...
