As he approached he noticed it seemed rather agitated indeed and it hissed at him. Grimacing slightly he looked around, what could he offer it? Going back towards his sleeping area he looked around for something that might be appealing to it, perhaps this flower? Picking it up he offered it to the swan who just seemed to ignore him. Well, this wasn't going to work.

Deciding to try some berries he found a berry bush and broke off one of the branches and offered it to it. It seemed to like them but when it snatched them away it also snipped at his muzzle. OUCH!

He attempted to talk to it in soothing tones but it gave him a look and shuffled itself away from him. Well, this wasn't working.

Attempting to find it some more food to eat he offered it some more berries but it seemed disinterested.

Offering it an acorn it seemed to be interested. Perhaps he was doing things right!

Clearly this creature was fickle because he found it some more acorns but it didn't want any of them or him to come near it!

Trying to find a leaf he collected some water in it, perhaps it was thirsty. He offered it to the swan but it didn't help at all. He wasn't getting anywhere.

Trying the water one more time because it really did look thirsty the swan decided to oblige and drank some of it happily but moved away from him once it was finished. He could live with that.

Looking around he found some nice moss for it to get comfortable on, the ground looked hard! It took it and played with it instead.

Attempting to give it some dried meat he had it seemed to want it but ended up nipping his muzzle in the process again. Clearly this was a health risk.

What else could he offer it? looking around he found a big fat beetle and brought it over to it. Would it like this perhaps? It of course snatched it up hastily, snipping him in the process, AGAIN.

Finding it some more food the swan seemed to open up to him! This was good, now perhaps he would be able to get a better examination of what happened to it.

Looking the swan over he was careful not to move anything just yet but it didn't seem to like him doing so as he got closer to it's wings. Perhaps that was the area that needed more careful consideration?
