i haven't finished reading all the previously suggested ones. My own contribution is..

Random Item Generator Themes.
These are pretty much gaia item themed.. sort of like the EI events..

but emerald seed, infinity hat, midsummer swirl, GBT, etc.. those are fun! some of those items are really cute and amazing...

Also, i saw some suggestions for some tropical fish theme.. why not take that theme.. and have the only soquili put in it to be seathi, mers, and kelpi's? I think that'd be cute.. it could be a water centric event... I mean.. I realize those aren't everyone's favorite types.. but they don't really have to be right? I'm sure there are plenty of people who like them who would snap them up in a heartbeat.
If you did a water/aquatic event, I'd love to see some octopi done.. especially some of those really bright coral ones.. tentacles = awesome

I like the idea of mixed drink-themed Soquili xd Lots of colorful possibilities there.

I also liked the suggestion for fortune-telling themes that I believe Sabin brought up? With the Feng Shui and runes and Tarot cards and such.

And as far as the music suggestions go, I'm not sure if this would work or not, but rather than a premade event, perhaps there could be some sort of concept contest? Maybe do categories linked to musical genres and people could submit songs, or songs with designs, or songs with general concepts? Or maybe along the lines of the Halloween Costume Contest from last year, there could be some pre-colored ponies for each genre and people could "dress them up" like their favorite songs in those categories, so to speak?

I would like to put in an extra vote for creatures of myth and the zodiac(I'm a scorpio). As well as a soquili for each month.
What about soquili based off the phases of the moon?
Has anyone read Peirs Anthony's Xanth series? The Daymares and Nightmares.
Soquili made of gems/jewels/minerals would also be interesting.
I really like the galaxy ideas. Try to do like pictures from the Hubble Telescope on the soq.

Speaking of Piers Anthony, I'd like to see a set based on his ideas of the Incarnations of Immortality. While there's only 7 (give or take, depending on how you look at it - for instance, Clotho/Atropos/Lachesis could be 1 or 3), most of the incarnations also have assistants of sorts that would be pretty much completely up to the artist's interpretation. :3

Thats a lovely idea, I second it. I've read that series and really enjoyed it; also heard there was an 8th book, but iv never found it.

I think a horsebreed event with some of the more unusual and obscure breeds of horses would be nice. Akhal Teke, Bakshir Curly, Chincoteague Pony, Brumby, Cleveland Bay, Dales Pony, Sorraia...etc, etc.
