Kieran looked down and grabbed his arm. He never got to know his parents. At the time, he was too young to remember them. "You're lucky that you got to know one of your parents. I never got to know mine at all. All I know is that they broke a sacred law. At least, that's how most of the angels see it. They were outcasts because they loved each other." He then started to have memories of his childhood, the ones he wanted to forget. Someone took care of him as a baby and then he was left to fend for himself.

A young angel walked along the streets, eating anything he could get his hands on. The others walked right on by, giving him hateful glances when they could. He could never understand why the other angels hated him so much. Kieran was just a kid and didn't know about the world. No matter where he went, he was treated as a monster and no one would tell him why. "Look at the freak. Just die already halfbreed. A thing like you should never exist. You won't last very long at all."

Kieran started to sweat heavily and cry a little. Everyone he had been around, was so cruel to him. He heard a lot of death threats, not to mention how many times he was almost beaten to death. Somehow, he managed to survive and make his way to the ground below. Ever since he arrived, he had been hunted. 'I can't trust anyone.'

Kieran wasn't exactly sure how to react when Kenna hugged him. It was something that just didn't happen to him. After a few minutes, he started to calm down a little. 'We're the same.' "I've been really missing out on the whole hug thing. I'm glad that I met you Kenna, but there are still angels and demons looking for me. They will do anything to make sure I don't exist." He couldn't understand why he was being open with, but it felt nice. What exactly was he feeling?

Kenna smiled and released him. "You said you were staying at the Headmistress's place right? Which means you will be on campus, so you are safe." She looked back out to the water. "Kieran. I know I said I would keep my distance, but it's nice to have someone to talk to. We both can relate to each other. And besides, being here means that you will have a place to spread your wings so to speak. You can live knowing that you are protected by Headmistress Michaella."

Kieran turned towards the water and stared at his reflection. "That's just it Kenna. I shouldn't have to be protected. Where I come from, even the kids know how to defend themselves. I never got the chance to learn like they did. I should be able to fly by now, but I can't." He fisted his hands a little before splashing his reflection. 'I'm probably the weakest angel ever to exist.'

She stood up and held out her hand as a ball of wind appeared. "The school helped me learn how to control my powers. Probably how I was able to keep back the Dark Fire magic for so long. But I am sure that I can help you Kieran. After all, I want to help you."

Kieran turned to Kenna and relaxed a little. "You don't have to do that for me. It's something I should have done a long time ago." The last thing he wanted was for Kenna to teach him. He just didn't feel right with it. Kieran just didn't want anyone to focus a lot of attention on him. All it did was put a target on their back. "I can't even imagine the demons that are after me."

Kieran gripped his arm a little and sighed. "I wouldn't want to keep someone from what they feel is their purpose. Kenna, I don't know if you are meant to help me. That being said, I won't stop you from trying to help me. If it means that you get to stick around." He smiled a little and looked up at the sky.

"And we can probably use the arena to practice our magic and fighting together."

Kieran smiled and hugged Kenna. "I like the whole hug thing. Michaella is the perfect person to teach me to fly. Who better to teach an angel how to fly? I can fly a short distance and then I crash." When Kenna mentioned training, he chuckled a little. "There is one spell that I almost got down."

Kieran laughed and stretched out his wings. "Maybe I will take you flying one of these days. I can show you my little spell if you like. Perhaps I could even teach it to you. Once I get better that is. You could probably do it better than I can. Just watch." He smiled and walked into the shadows. 'I can do this. It's not that difficult.' Within an instant, he faded into the shadows. The spell seemed to work, aside from the fact that his wing were obviously visible.

Kieran stepped out of the shadows and shook his wings a little. "You're right. I probably should fold in the wings. I almost forget they are even there." He chuckled a little and looked out on the water. "It sure is a nice day. Perhaps we should go into town or something."
