Finally she kissed him back. This was perhaps the first time they both meant to kiss each other and actually did, so technically it was their first kiss. And it felt... good. Alcott closed his eyes and put one hand on her cheek as he deepened it slightly.

She welcomed the deepening, opening her mouth just a bit to grant him access. Her own hands left his hair and settled on his shoulders, massaging lightly. 'So this is what it's like having the man you love love you back,' she thought, smiling just a little into the kiss.

He was hesitant, but he slid his tongue into her mouth and felt around before rubbing against her tongue. One hand rested at her hip for a moment before a cold wind reminded him where they were. He broke the kiss and looked around. "I... guess we'd better get back to that ball." he muttered.

She nodded, her hands staying where they were on his shoulders. "You're right...we should go back." But Michaela made no move to go back. She wanted to stay outside with him.

Alcott waited patiently for her to move, but she didn't. He thought that maybe if he began moving that she would follow, that she was probably still a little lovestruck or whatever little girls do. He tried to get up, but she was like an anchor. "Umm," he finally sighed. "Maybe you should, I don't know, get up?"

Eh, they're our musical story. Anywhooo, looks like this sucker's almost done with, unless you want to skip forward to the wedding between the dude in his late thirties and the chick in her early twenties.

"Oh! Sorry." Shaking herself from her thoughts, Michaela stood and clasped her hands behind her back, blushing. "We don't have to go back to the ball if you really don't want to. The maze is just over there, and I want to show you something anyway."

That sounds like it should be the final post that ends the story. emotion_kirakira Like an epilogue or something.

Alcott looked to the ball behind him, it was filled with nothing more than drunks by now. He didn't feel like being attacked by drunk, shameless, and desperate women. "Uh... Yeah, let's go." he muttered and turned to her. "Lead the way."

We should put that sucker down after Alex is dead. Ooh, and maybe we can stick in a proposal. I'd love to see how he'd pop the question

She brushed a speck of dirt from her dress, starting for the doors. Nodding at the servants, the doors opened, revealing a too-busy group of people. With her head held high, Michaela took his arm and led him outside, stopping only when they were outside and in front of the entrance to the maze. "Alcott?" she whispered, having to tilt her head back in order to see the top of the hedges.

Alcott was staring up at the maze himself. He imagined that if things got too confusing he'd just fly them out. Shouldn't be too hard. "What?" he asked as he looked back down at her, a cigarette going between his lips.

But it would be so amusing...

She turned to face him, running her hand up his chest and massaging his neck slightly. "I just wanted to say," she purred, smiling softly. "Tag!!" Pushing off, Michaela ran into the maze, giggling.

Alcott shuddered at the touched and readied himself to kiss her, but instead of a nice peck on the lips, he got a tap on the neck and her running off. He stared at the air he was holding that was once Michaela until finally he sighed. "Kids these days." he muttered under his breath and began heading into the maze with his cigarette as his only company.

A time skip to the proposal, and then the epilogue where they get married. You even get to write the the end at their last post.

Giggling, Michaela ran along the hedges, stopping once she was good and lost. "Alcott!" she called.

No way! You started the RP, you end it! I'll do that proposal bit, but not the final post, not even a contribution.

I hope this smoke doesn't give away where I am, the man thought as he wandered around aimlessly. Left, right, left, left, right, turn around. Yeah, he's lost, but he didn't seem too bothered by it. He glanced up at the stars and blew out some smoke into the sky, barely hearing his name being called out.

But shouldn't we decide together how their lives together play out? How many kids will they have? Will Michaela ever be able to have children? WHAT ELSE?

Michaela looked up at the stars from the center of the maze, smiling softly. Everything was always so beautiful when the stars could be seen. "Alcott!" she called again, weaker this time.

Alcott paused when he thought he heard his name being called out. Was that her? ....Naw, it was probably a fly. He continued onward until what faced him was a wall of grass. "Great," he grunted. "A dead end." He turned around and tried to remember where he went. Was it left or right...?
