Acorn turns and growls at Shadowstalk, the sound coming from low in her throat. "Don't be mad at me because the little runt girl found them before the big strong male." she says with a sneer. "And what have you done for me, hmmm? Slowed us down, is what. Or is that foal's pace you've been at your normal speed?" This is said with the sound of laughter and mockery in her voice.
Not waiting on his reaction, Acorn turns and comes closer to the others. Giving a bow, she introduces herself. "I'm Acorn, and my companion" Said with much contempt. "here is Shadowstalk." Introducing him was just an afterthought that will hopefully annoy him. "Not you specifically, but all of you. Kimeti, that is." She nods at Mudsplatter's question. "From the plains, yes." As she talks, Acorn tries to keep an eye on the male Kiokote and study the Kimeti. Which works okay until her eyes come to the tall black and cream male. Her mind passes over his minor differences, getting caught by two things. First, his height. This buck is longer of leg then the others, easily tall enough that she could walk right under him. Well, maybe she'd have to duck, but not much. Second is his eyes, which seem to stay closed.
Realizing she's staring, Acorn quickly looks away, taking in the whole group again. "Are you all in the same tribe?" Keeping herself focused on everyone to keep from focusing just on the tall buck.

It takes Stain a moment to figure out what commands the little one's attention -- and then when he figures it out, he almost laughs. It escapes him in a singular grunt of laughter: the little one, Acorn, is looking at Slender -- but it happens. What kimeti doesn't? Poor Slender doesn't notice, and probably won't until someone clues him in. Thinking that this may be the polite thing to do, he simply shifts his hind feet over so that he can then whap Slender with his tail. It's subtle in the way Mudsplatter deems things subtle.
Hoping that the little one won't notice, he then nods to both of them, ignoring whatever spat the two newcomers have between them. "We're in the same tribe, as far as I know." The extent of what he knows is that he's never heard of any other tribes [having never been to the seashore], so there can't be any others. "Unless you mean tribe as in kimeti."
