Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the author of this poem again on Fanfiction.net despite my searching. It is inspired by Kuroshitsuji, but I don't remember the author's username. A while back I found this poem and fell love with it so I wrote it down. Good thing I did because now I can't find it anywhere! It might have gotten deleted...
DISCLAIMER : I do not own this poem and I wasn't the one who wrote it.
It is more of a nursery rhyme than a poem. I just wanted to share it with whoever finds it interesting.

The Boy, the Crow, the Serpent, and I

Ever the wicked wolves she says
And he smiles within my bones;
Bishops and snows and shrieking crows
And kings on rotting thrones.
The Lord of the dark sold his soul for a lark
And a prison of marble stones;
And his lady weeps for the house she keeps
While she weathers the night alone.

Winter has eaten our hearts says he
And our games are nearly done—
The pieces have moved and the knight has proved
His worth for what he's won.
But the puppet, the toy, Insanity's boy
In a silk-white web is spun;
I am tricked and deceived, the prize unachieved—
Where once was all is none.

Oh riddle me this says the serpent's tongue
Dark void and eyes of gold:
Tell me what is the price of a body bought twice
And a soul already sold?
The boy in blood-red lies in Perversion's bed,
Ice-pale and mad and cold—
"We all fall down" and he snatches his crown
To assure his tale never be told.

Oh what to do to die today
At a moment or two 'til two?
Best hide your baubles and bolt your doors
Before I come for you.

From here on out, I'll be posting my own works. This one of the few free-verse poems I wrote a few years back. I didn't even know I had this anymore, lol.
WARNING: Free-verse. It's not supposed to rhyme.

Spider's Web

So you can weave your sweet presumptions
To which your world faithfully revolves around
Without a second, fleeting thought
Of correcting those presumptions, those hand-woven thoughts.

You can believe what you want to believe
So your comfortable habits don't shatter
And end up leaving you bare
Just because you didn't want to double-check those beliefs.

Spin your pretty web of lies
And drown yourself in illusional thoughts.
But remember, if you drown, you can no longer breath.
If you no longer breath, the harder it will be for you to understand.

Scream, yell, pound your fists, grind your teeth!
I dare you!

My clay has already been formed by your potter's hands;
I have molded and grown accustomed to these things.
But that doesn't erase the fact that every time you do,
A silent volcano fiercely erupts.

I can manage, I can control it, but it is a volcano nonetheless.
Volcanoes choke, burn, demolish, and break
All in their path.
It would be natural to fear a volcano,

But it is also essential to conquer your fears.
When fear is dissolved into nothingness, a flurry of emotions take its place.
Contempt, pride, courage, and maybe...possibly, understanding.
It is the outcome of the war that matters, so

Which emotion will you give the victory to?
Try to preserver, run life's race
To fully understand your own emotions.
Travel through the treacherous tunnel of your presumptions

To fully analyze the meanings of the causes and effects.
But beware of the tunnel, it is not as safe as you think.
It is lined with compressed fire and secrets and earthquakes of fiery temper.
You thought it was safe, just because the tunnel is yours?

Think again, and double-check.
But hurry, time stops for no man
And fire always spreads quickly.
Before you know it, the flames have spread

To their home, their source; the volcano.
Every time you get burned, the damage will eventually go away.
But what if you get burned time and time again?

Burnt skin grows a tougher epidermis.
Broken bones mend and become stronger than they originally were.
Mistakes give way to knowledge to help you along your path,
So it is good to get hurt
Depending on the circumstances.
But the scars cannot go away.

I wrote this particular piece after having a bit too much of a dose of war movies...But movies bring out my creative side, so it's okay ^_^ It's supposed to be angsty, it's about war -.-
So basically, this starts out as the main character running away, with many people chasing him/her.
I was thinking this could be the monologue of a future rpc that I will make, not sure. I'm just tired of people making characters who all they want to do is do missions, rank up, start a family, and then die peacefully. Where are the characters who want to make a difference, have high potential, and enjoy drama of epic proportions that will most likely end in death? ; D

"All I've wanted was for this world to be at PEACE!!" He cried out with a yell of indignation, his hands clenched tightly into fists. His eyes were dulled with the burden of history's sorrow, which was mistaken for coldness and an unyielding distance in his composure. They did not know, could not know him! Yet here they were, steadily advancing towards him to steal away the life he was gifted with. What could he do, he was backed into a corner, all his chess pieces were gone and the final move was about to be made!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The crushing heel of tyranny was upon them, yet they continued to crawl around like ants! Did they enjoy being sheep led to the slaughter? Why do they not want to change it?! Beggars hold out their hands with tired eyes, women are kidnapped and raped, children continue to be suspected to abuse, the WORLD IS DYING! Why...why can't they see that? Why can't the world see it? Why am I able to see it? I don't want this! If I want to help, why am I being treated as if I'm evil?! They're the evil ones, they who shun my attempt to bring peace!

Peace is overrated, they say. Is it really?

I am ashamed at the show of grandeur and pompous actions of humanity, claiming itself superior to all. Do they not realize what is right before their eyes? War!
We are less than ants, less than the smallest of cells, compared to this world in a vast universe. What we control is absolutely nothing, yet they parade around and fill themselves with lies of glory and power for which humanity craves. Simply look up at the sky and see, humans do not control this earth, the universe controls it, along with the forever battling wills of good and evil.
Therefore I say, lift the cloak of lies, that we may begin a revolution of worlds, in the name of peace.

The Reason Was Not Found

There was a crimson clash of war
Lands turned black and bare.

Women wept,
Children ran, wondering.

There came one who understood not these things.
He said, "Why is this?"

Whereupon a million strove to answer him.
There was such an intricate clamour of tongues,
That still the reason was not found.
