[ORP] The Cold - Night

They were close, and as they huddled there, she could feel her ember heart beating stronger, glowing brighter. It was often that she chose to settle close to those who were sleeping for it was easier to imagine their dreams than to interact with those who were awake, but with Flickering, who seemed to be a buck of little words, it was easier. She felt that she did not need to speak so often and his coat made her think of the smoke and fire of her naming dream, and so that too was a comfort. Sighing softly, the action causing a small cloud to hang in the air for a second before disappearing, a smile ghosted it's way onto her lips and she merely nodded at the buck. They would keep warm here for the night and in the daytime, they would sleep in the icy sun. Though it was cold, the fires would continue to burn.

Ahhhhh. I am finally here. If you want to keep going with this, I'm definitely up for it (yay for summer break free time) or if you want to end it, that would be fine as well~ They could meet up again elsewhere and she might talk a bit more!

He had come to find answers, which he did not, but he had found comfort, which for him was better. He had so little answers, for anything, what was one more or less? And comfort he had less of still, so this kindness was beyond compare. She felt a blessing to him in these bitter times, and as he drowsed against her, he dreamed a dream very much like the one that had held him before birth.

When he awoke, his songbird had descended, nestled between them, and it was all the better. When eventually he had to retreat back into the wilderness he called as well as any and more so home, he hoped - and it was not a thing he often hoped, not as a complaint against the characters of the few he had met, but merely the habit of one long used to solitude - that they would meet again.

There! Hurrah! I would actually really love for them to meet again, maybe in that RP he'll finally tell her he doesn't see very well! XD Thanks for the wonderful RP, Flickering enjoyed it so, bless Ember's gentle heart!

She slipped away as dawn broke, disappearing into the misty morning as one with the sun's soft rays, as those around her dozed. Her chill had eased, that was enough to keep her for the next few days, before she once again sought warmth of a sort, perhaps a different sort than she had found this night. Her foray had not gone as she had expected, yet it had soothed her. That was fine. That was good.
