Carefully stepping around the unconscious Sin, he walked near Nikolai, moving just past him before he stopped. "Come on. Even a fast healer would be screwed if that wasn't cleaned and covered." His words were cold, and unfeeling, as if he was saying it only because he felt like he had to.

Nikolai noticed this. "I'll be fine." he grunted and continued slouching towards the doorway. "Just go check on the children. I'm sure Envy stole quite a few traits." Once he reached her, he gazed down at her sleeping figure and smirked at the nightmares she appeared to be having. She deserved it, the little brat.

He walked over, crossing his arms. "I already did," he stated, watching the Sin. "The nuns are watching over them now. Kimberly's gone though. Your little friend have anything to do with that?"

"She's not a friend." he growled. Crouching down, Nikolai closed his eyes and let his purple mist shoot between them. He pushed past her nightmares and burrowed further into her mind until he was walking through her memories. After a moment, Nikolai opened his eyes and stood back up. "I should have known." he chuckled dryly to himself and looked at Anthony. "Your dear cousin summoned this one to kill me. She didn't take kindly to our relationship."

"What relationship?" he grunted, keeping sure to stay at least a yard away from Nikolai's person. "Dumb b_tch is delusional."

Nikolai hesitated when he heard Anthony. He turned to see the priest a good distance away from him. He could understand the priest wanting to stay away from a Sin, something they were raised trying to banish, but after the time they spent together...
"Are you afraid of me?" he finally asked while fully facing the man.

"I'm not afraid of anything. Least of all, you," he grunted, although he took a step back from the man.

What an awful liar. "Anthony, you know me, there's no reason to be scared of me." Nikolai urged and advanced a step. "If I wanted to kill you, don't you think I would have done it long ago?"

"Yeah, like you've proved to be so trustworthy!" he replied, taking another step back. "Lying about being a priest, I can handle. But you lied about being human, Nikolai."

"I was a human!" argued the Sin that advanced another step. "I was a human less than ten years ago before I became this!" Again, he advanced a step. "Would you have even let me into the church if I told you I was a living Sin? You know just as much as I do that we would have never gotten so close if I had told you the truth!"

With each step Nikolai took, Anthony took another back. "Why would you want to get close to me anyway? What purpose could serve you that? I would've tried to understand the whole Sin thing if you'd just told me, but I wouldn't have been dumb enough to start sleeping with you!"

"Is it too hard to imagine that I get lonely?" Nikolai drawled. "I wanted to get advice over what I've become, so I came to you. And you know what? I liked you, I wanted to get to know you more and spend time with you. I fell for you, okay?" he confessed, blushing despite his anger. "And if I remember right, you wanted my touches bad!"

"You expect me to believe that?" he asked, looking away. "How can I trust you after all I've seen and found out?"

"And what exactly is it you found out?" Nikolai demanded. "That your cousin saw the spark we have, got jealous, and summoned another Sin to try and kill me? That I'm one of those Sins and just saved not only your a_s but the entire damn church?"

"That if you lose your temper for a second, you could destroy everything I've worked for!" he yelled back, clenching his fists. "I now have kids that will never see, hear, or smell again. And several who will die soon from not being able to eat! What am I supposed to do, Nikolai?!"
