The aged floors creaked as Chaos walked towards her. He crouched down to be eye level with her and gently put a hand on her shoulder. "I know it's hard," he said quietly with understanding eyes. "But this is your only option. Sometimes you must go through grief before going through the road that is life." Stopping himself from anymore philosophy, Chaos pulled Cybil towards him and hugged her comfortingly.

hugging back, she gave a small nod. "o-okay....." she mumbled, rubbing her eyes. feeling the cold bite of a harsh wind, the child curled into him, shivering dangerously.

The hug lasted a few more minutes before Chaos rose back on his feet. "Come," he said and took her hand just as a father would. "Let's get you into bed."

"um... my room is gone...." she mumbled, chewing on her lip. "a-and.... so is...." she sighed, spotting the purple and green fragments of what used to be her crystal ball.

Noticing this just after she said so, Chaos uttered something under his breath. "Very well," he sighed and began pushing his way through the debris, making sure to leave a path for her to follow without getting hurt. "We will have to take residence at an inn then." The darkness of night was welcoming and inviting, holding a warmth usually unusual for such an evil element. Chaos' features seemed to glow in the embracing depths of darkness. His hair shined like the moon, the gray tips like stars. His frost blue eyes, along with his hair, complimented his practically translucent skin as they walked down the empty sidewalk of the town.

following behind him, she pulled her little shawl tightly around her as the light snow, which had started shortly after he arrived, grew harder. "th-there's.... a-an inn......" she paused, sneezing loudly. "j-just ahead...." she mumbled, sneezing once more as she tried to stay warm.

A handkerchief was held out to her. "Stay close so you do not freeze." Chaos said. A few feet traveled and soon they entered the small, cozy inn. It was only one story, and by the looks of how empty it was, it didn't see customers by the dozen. But it was the type of inn that was a diamond in the rough. The atmosphere was inviting, the inside was furnished well and felt riveting, and the workers inside all smiled cheerfully at them. Chaos walked over to the elderly woman that took charge of the keys and began ordering a room, momentarily leaving Cybil to herself.

still holding the handkerchief, the child had drifted into space again as she thought about her most recent vision. she was so out of it, she didn't even notice how cold she was, still standing in the open doorway.

It had been about five minutes before Chaos turned around to see Cybil standing at the snowy doorway. "Cybil!" he said in a scolding voice. He hurried to her and firmly took her hand, pulling her into the warm inn. "I told you not to stay in the cold." he said strictly then, moments later, sighed, "Would you like some hot chocolate?"

slowly looking up at him, she nodded. "y-yes p-please...." she mumbled, slowly making her way over to the blazing fire that was keeping the inn warm.

Nodding himself, Chaos led her to a nearby table and sat her down. "Now stay here," he said with a gentle voice, yet it still held some scolding in it. "And don't go back in the snow." He left to find the chef or waitress.

nodding softly, she gave a sigh and stared at the fire, kicking her legs back and forth lightly. "that last one.... so.... sad...... " she mumbled, holding her head in her hands. should i tell him what i saw?

"Is something wrong, Cybil?" Chaos asked as he returned with two mugs of hot cocoa. He set one down in front of her and sat down across from her. Catching the waitress looking at him for approval of their homemade drink, the well dressed man took a sip of his chocolate, grimaced slightly at the burn, then smiled at the girl. A red hue came across her face as she hurried off to tell the chef. A good drink indeed, just like the staff. All family, which was understandable for such a small inn.

looking up, she bit her lip and then shrugged. "i.... well.... not yet...." she mumbled, grabbing the coco and sipping on it with little issue. "its just..... i had another vision...."
