How does Critter ICly work:

Halloween uses a social microblogging site called "critter" which is basically twitter only Halloween-version. OOCly we'll be using twitter for this, but ICly it should be referred to as critter.

- Don't follow or interact with hunter twitters
- Don't follow or interact with irl human twitters
- If you have a hunter twitter do not follow or interact the Halloween critter accounts
- Please don't create or follow critter (twitter) accounts created for characters who are not yet official

gaia_crown Why we want this to be IC:

Social microblogging like twitter has proven a really easy, casual, inclusive, and organic way for characters to interact and is a great platform to use to jump to larger plots for normal RP and character relationships!

We originally considered making our own microblog platform using opensource code to keep Halloween fully separate. But that seems less accessible to players, and may use a lot of time/resources that keep us from the other projects we'd like to do. So for now, we've decided to just try with twitter, and leave keeping this group of twitter accounts closed to the things that would force it to become ooc rp, to you guys!

Go to https://twitter.com/
Sign up using your name, an email, and a password.
Create a handle and confirm your email.
Skip all the stuff about following random people and just go back to https://twitter.com/
Start finding other TiH critters to follow, and look at their followers to find even more! Be sure to come mention your characters new critter and handle in the blastchats so others know to follow you!
If you have multiple characters and need to use several different critters, http://tweetdeck.com/ has an app you can install in order to follow and post from several twitters at once, just be careful to make sure your posting with the right account!

Start tweeting your characters' feels! Twitter only allows for short posts (140 chars) so you don't have to compose epic RP posts, just stay with what's natural for your character. They can compose their own posts, or respond to those of other characters. This is a very handy way to get them interacting and creating plots with characters they may have never met before, ease new characters into rp, and even interact with NPCs!

How does Hunter Twitter ICly work:

Deus Ex has its own ghetto network it has patched together, to mimic the look of the original Twitter. As internet access on Deus is restricted, if not impossible period, all Hunters have to make do with the "interwebs" on the Island, limited only to other Hunters on the Island.
