[$] Small Lake Town -taken by Suzie - Rawr Im A Dino -

Young man just moved to a small town on a lake and one day while he is out in the water he spots someone there. It just so happens to be a (either a nymph or a mermaid... or selkie if you want) and upon finding him the boy see's that he is trapped in a fishers net that his father had left out just the other day. The boy saves the (N, M, S) and he is given a wish. The boy is very lonely in his new home so he just wishes that the other boy would be his friend/brother. (It's a rule in the guild that characters are over 18 so please follow this rule. The boy can be 18 and still living at home.)

Rules:

Please remember to follow the guild rules as well as Gaia toss. Remember characters are no younger then 18 unless they are not in the relationship except as a child of said couple or one of them from a previous relationship or taking care of for friends. Please be literate enough to post two or three decent sized paragraphs at least twice a week. I ask this because its what I try to do and am challenging myself to work hard in order to better myself as a writer.

Name : Grayson Erik Thomas
Age : 18
Personality : Grayson is an easy going young man as long as his routine is not altered more then a little as well as he can keep up with his compulsions. He has a very calm nature causing him to be rather hard to angry or to upset him that is unless you change his routines or force him to not be able to do his compulsions. He is generally easy to get along with but alter his routines and compulsions and you get a totally different nymph. He can be fiery when he hits the point of anger which is not often thankfully because he tends to lose control seeing red and turning into a totally different person.
Sexual Orientation : Homosexual but in the closet about it.
Backstory : This will reveal itself over time since he keeps it very private and secret.



Name : Alvaro Takeshi
Age : 19
Personality : He's a friendly person. Alvaro is always trying to help those around him out- even if they don't acknowledge the help. Still, he has a rude side to him. He could flat out ignore people, or he would break and try to harm you. Of course he would keep the rude side away unless they deserved it. Other than that he was a nice, helpful young man.
Sexual Orientation : Homosexual, out of the closet.
Backstory : Alvaro is usually found with his father, so it's not odd that he moved with his father to a new town. When he was younger, he would always help him with the fishing nets and everything. Since he did, he knew where the weak links of the net was, and where the tough links were. They were always improving the nets, and Alvaro kept track of school at the same time. However, he's out of school now and going to a new town... Lovely, just how exactly was he suppose to make friends? Work of course but.. He was going to settle with helping his father first. At least until the town grew on him some.

Grayson was the only son of the king nymph who took great pains to keep him safe but it was not easy since Gray as those closest to him called him easily slipped away to be alone or swim in the lake. The nymph prince adored being alone as well as having a strict routine to follow because no one really new but he was in fact autistic along with having obsessive compulsive disorder which is normally called OCD. The king was afraid for his son each and every day but today would prove to be a fateful day to which the king just might lose his only son the heir to the throne of his people.

Gray got away from his guard easily ditching the man deep in the woods before he slipped east quickly towards the lake knowing that it wouldn't take to long really before the guard gathered more guards in order to search for him starting with his normal haunts because most knew that the young prince was ritualistic about his routine so they would search for him in places they knew he would frequent first and foremost like the lake where he was headed right at this very moment.

Soon the nymph prince stepped out of the woods striding with purpose down the path towards the lake getting closer and closer a smile spreading over his face until it went from ear to ear because to him this was his peaceful place of refuge. But today the nets that he normally knew where they were so he would avoid them had been moved right into his path. One would wonder if this was by design or in fact just a chance happening. Soon he got to the cool refreshing water stepping in up to his ankles with a deep sigh of relief and contentment unaware yet of the danger quickly coming into his path.

A few moments later he was walking deeper and deeper into the cool water taking deep breaths smiling brightly as he walked until he was up to his neck in the water. "Time to swim rather then walk." he whispered then started to swim further and further into the lake until he felt as though there was weeds tickling his feet causing him some discomfort but he ignored it swimming on instead. A little further he felt as though his legs were being pulled on by what he assumed was weeds even though he didn't remember there being weeds this tall in the lake as far out as he was. Soon though he was being pulled under coming to realize that it was not in fact weeds but in fact fishing nets that he was tangled up in. Groaning he tried to get free but in turn it only caused it to become worse so he was soon only showing his head above water as the rest of him was submerged and tangled badly in the fishing nets that he had swam into.

Alvaro was starting to settle in to this new town, he would just have to wonder around a bit more to get use to the surroundings. A light smile was on his face, as he got up and started to get ready for the day. His father had planned on having the nets checked today. Even though they just recently put their nets in the lake, still it was always fun to see if you were able to catch anything that was worth giving attention to. His arms were being stretched above his head, while he got out of his bed. Once he heard the pop, he stopped stretching his arms and headed to get dressed. Stripping the clothes he had on at the moment, he pulled on a nice button up shirt. It went well with his figure too, clinging to his body but not too much to annoy him. It wasn't skin tight either, so that was always a good thing.

Hearing his father shuffling about the house, Alvaro pulled his pants on quickly. He would deal with the shoes later on, right now he was going to greet his father and make breakfast for the two of them. "Morning!" Alvaro said cheerfully, before seeing the fact his father was already ready for the day. Well, seemed his father woke up before him today. A soft chuckle left his lips, before he took a seat to eat the breakfast his father made. "You're too slow." His father joked with him, before him and his son started to have a staring contest. While they did that, Alvaro ate his breakfast. It wasn't that long of a staring contest because Alvaro broke it off to go clean the dishes. At least he could do something, instead of having his father clean them. Denying his father's offers to help, he started to hum lightly to himself.

Despite the lonely feeling he had, he looked to be always so cheerful. That was better than being a depressed person, who is a burden to their father. Sure while he was alone, he would let the smile fade for a while. Only person he only actually seemed to know in this town was his father... Ever since they've arrived, Alvaro hasn't even tried to become friends with someone. How was he suppose to do that? Just randomly walk up to someone and introduce himself? Yea, he would much rather not seem like a creeper. Pushing those thoughts aside, he listened to his father speak. "May you go and check the nets? I have to fix the one I broke yesterday." His father said, receiving a chuckle from his son. That was fine with him, that way he could be the first to see what they caught.

Nodding his head, he hurried to the door putting his shoes on. "Be careful while I'm gone." He yelled to his father before running towards the lake. It took a minute or two after running, for that smile of his to fade. A soft sigh left his lips, as he took the quickest route he knew of to get to the lake. While he made his way there, he started to think about the order of how he would check the nets. They had a paddle boat to check them, then a motor boat to bring them with them when they actually had something. As he neared the lake, he blinked a few times. It looked like someone was swimming in the lake. Wasn't that hazardous? Since there were fishing nets and what not in the lake? When he came closer, he blinked a few times. Oh no... His face paled slightly, that was where one of the nets his father and he put in the lake not so long ago!

"Hey!" He yelled rushing towards the closest spot towards the male. His stomach started to knot up, before he looked where he was at. Yeah, exactly where they placed the net. Shoving his hand into his pocket, he felt his trusty pocket knife there. Good, he would just tell his dad that it got stuck so he had to cut it... Kicking his shoes off, he ignored the paddle boat. It would take too long to get it out anyways. Plus... The only thing showing was the person's head! Inside he was panicking, what if this guy got hurt?! The more the guy struggled, the tighter the net got... He knew that from experience, when he was younger. 'Thank God I'm a good swimmer.' He thought to himself as he made his way towards the person. His mind was swirling with what to do, what if he went underwater before he got there? What if he needed to do CPR?! Oh god... His mind was in a panic, while his body did the necessary swimming towards the male.

Once he was close to him, he pulled his pocket knife. While he did that, he noticed just how tangled up the male was. Muttering things like: 'I'm not going to hurt you.' and 'Be still, so I can cut this.'. Those things, he was glad he knew the weak parts of the net and where to cut. He let his fingers follow the net, before he took the knife and cut the net. God, he was so glad he could keep his cool right now. His father would've fainted, if he were to know a person got stuck in the net!! Pushing the thoughts aside, he started to concentrate on getting this person to safety first.

Grayson was struggling none stop because he was panicking which was not making the situation any better instead it was making it much much worse for the young man. He didn't notice the other coming or calling out to him at first because he was trying to keep his face above water desperately but he was starting to pant and feel very weak from all the struggling to get out of the net which he had thought was simply weeds. Even when the other male got to him and started to work on cutting the net free of him he tried to keep his face above water nearly failing unable to speak through his panting. His eyes closed as it started to look as though he was not going to be able to take anymore but he in fact seemed to keep his face above water barely.

In the distance four large framed males could be seen striding to the banks of the water but the moment they saw Alvaro they backed off content to simple watch from a distance well hidden from view. They looked at each other the head one shaking his head alerting the others that they were not to approach the prince right now because of the human who was trying to aid him. But if the prince should dis-spear under the water for any length of time they would rush in to try and help since it was their kings son that was in distress.

King Lucas paced in his study having heard that his son had ditched his guard once more but he was not made aware of the fact that his son was in fact in distress having not known that the fishermen had changed where they were putting the nets which caused him problems to even though it seemed that it was his son who was to blame they were not used to having to share their land with humans so much. He turned glaring at the wall in his anger until his foot started to hurt him for it.

Alvaro was sure this guy was panicking also, it was so obvious! Plus, the male was struggling to keep his head above water. Just what could he do, so the other male wouldn't drown or anything. He also didn't want to stab the male or anything. As he did that, he noticed that the male seemed to be having a problem keeping his head up. Glancing up, he noted the male close his eyes, eh... "Hey now, just hand in there for a minute longer." He stated with a soft murmur. Taking a deep breath, he went under some to get a hold of a few parts of the net. Once he had it cut, he started to unwrap the nets slowly. However, he did come up for a breath. Another breath was taken, before he went under once more. Just how tangled was this guy!? Pushing the pocket knife- after he closed it, into his pocket he started to move up.

One of his arms wrapped around the other male's waist, before he started to help him stay above the water. Getting in the air he needed, he looked at the male and started to head towards the land. "Hey, please be okay." He stated softly, before he started pay attention on getting the male somewhere he could rest easily. His gaze shifted around, making sure he didn't go towards any other fishing nets. Once he started to be able to walk, he held the male up. He was going to support him, until they were out of the water completely. His mind started to relax, before he let out a soft sigh of relief.

At least he was able to get him to safety. Letting him go, when he got them onto the land. "Hey there... You okay?" He asked, he was worried the male could've swallowed too much water or something. Taking the precautions of this situation, he made sure he was breathing and everything. He could do CPR, but that would be awkward if the guy didn't need it so... Alvaro was checking and making sure he was okay beforehand- unless he wasn't okay.

Grayson tried desperately to stay above water but he was growing weaker and weaker more and more water pouring into his mouth. He coughed and sputtered trying to spit out water only to inhale even more water. "H..E..L..P... M..E ... " he managed to get out as the other male dove down to cut away the net as well as to pull it free from the way it was seriously tangled around his lower body. His head started to sink down into the water even more slowly he was losing consciousnesses but Alvaro had him lose and was dragging him to the shore where he ended up laying on his side on the ground unconscious because of inhaling to much water. When the other worked to check to see if he was okay the instant he moved his head a little he started to throw up water by the huge mouth fulls which also started him on coughing insanely which helped to bring up all the water that was left inside of him.

He opened his eyes to glance up at the other weakly. "The hell...weeds ...strong.. thanks..free " he told him then coughed heavily some more. He swallowed hard licking his lips then gasped as he realized that this was in fact a mere mortal man and not a nymph or anything like himself. "s**t who have you told that I'm here with you?" he asked as he forced himself into a sitting position but he was soon leaning against the other male for support. "Thank you for saving me my father will reward you handsomely " he whispered hoarsely his light green eyes shinning a bright green that was darkening by the minute and he wasn't thinking or he would have known to control it before the other would take notice of it because humans didn't do that they just didn't do it no way no how. "Whats your name ? I'm Grayson but you can call me Gray if you want ." he told him.

One of the guards went to come to Grayson's aid but the head one yanked him back frowning sharply at him. "You idiot its bad enough the human has seen prince Grayson we don't want him seeing any more of us understand ?" he asked getting a sharp nod of the head from the man. "Sorry boss " he told him .

They were on the shore soon enough, however he was worried that his net had harmed this guy. Once they were there, he checked if the guy was still breathing or not. Luckily when he moved the others head, he saw him start coughing up water. That was great! Well... Good he was getting the water out of his system, and the fact he was alive. Once he was having the coughing fit, he let out a soft sigh. It was a relief that he was alive, before he started to watch the other open his eyes. That was a good sign this guy was alright. However, his eyebrow rose when he heard him speak. Weeds? He thought he was tangled up in weeds and not a net?!

He just nodded a welcome to him, however he smiled at him some. He could talk, but the coughing heavily worried him... Therefore, he just watched him to make sure he didn't try to do anything too quick or anything. Once he heard him, his eyes widened some. What? What was he talking about, seeing him sit up wasn't a good idea. He helped him, as a support for the male. "I had no idea you were here." He stated softly, before he let out a soft sigh. "So no one else knows your here." He added, before started to listening to him. Listening to him whispering, he blinked a few times. Huh? Who was this guys father, and why would he reward him? He just didn't want the male drowning!

However his eyes caught his attention, hm? Was it the lighting that caused his eyes to become darker? Or... Pushing those thoughts away, he listened to him introduce himself. Grayson? That was a nice name, and Gray was a good nickname. "I'm Alvaro, nice to meet you Gray." He said, introducing himself to the male. Shifting slightly, he made sure to still support the male. It was so awkward with his shirt clinging to his skin the way it was. Though, he did ignore it for the male's sake. "I'm glad that you're okay." He said softly, before he started to check the male closely. His eyes caught his attention again. "Your eyes... What color are they?" He asked curiously, before he smiled at the male.

Grayson kept right on coughing until he finally managed to get himself under control which was not easy after swallowing that much water. He was very much unaware of his eyes changing there coloring but perhaps he would become accustomed to it after a while. His brain finally wrapped around the fact that it had not been weeds that he was stuck in but a fisherman net. Sighing he glanced over at the other his eyes a bright yellowish red now which if the green getting darker and darker hadn't shocked him then this likely wouldn't either. "I was swimming and thought that I had entered into a patch of weeds but instead I found myself being dragged under by a stupid net. Its damn lucky you came so that I wouldn't have to pay someone to take me to my family's.

He nodded back feeling heavy and painful in his chest not liking the feeling but he was not about to turn around and complain about it or anything else for that matter. There was so much he had to stop himself from doing because it would scare them or for himself it would be smart move not to open his big mouth and become something to examine. He glanced away from him a little wondering why he was asking him questions and starting to wonder if some of the other things he needed to keep private about himself were starting to show up with in the others sight which was not good at all.

When he was asked about his eyes he blinked gasping. "They are green light green. Why do you ask that Alvaro ?" he asked but he had told him even though they were now turning a light baby blue color. He glanced at the other shaking his head. "Alvaro its just that well I wanted to go to the water it looked so pretty and the realtor was not happy having to sell the beautiful house that had belonged to his mother who had recently passed away. He sighed "For saving me I will grant you one wish. " he told him as he leaned forward hugging the other tenderly. "Thank you again its so very nice for you to have saved my life. " he told him his eyes glowing very much not staying the right color because they were going to every shade of the rainbow as she moved away. He would giggle then pull back and look at the other with eyes that didn't settle to one color for more tn to minutes and I wanted to see if he could pushed the way that he was before.

Alvaro was glad the male was getting his coughing under control, his hand gently rubbing his back slightly. He was trying to ease the pain in some way. This guy had been found in his family's net so... he felt responsible in some way for what happened. Hopefully this thing didn't happen often... Why? Knowing him, he'd spaz out over it every single time. One too many spazzes, then he would possibly end up in the hospital or bed rest. Oh my... He really wished that this wasn't a everyday things! As the male seemed to calm down, so did he. That was good, this guy seemed to be okay. Luckily he had his pocket knife- though he was glad he didn't seem to harm the male or himself with it. However, the male's eyes were well... Yellowish red now...

It was the panic. It had to be the panic getting to him! Otherwise why would his eyes be green and now a yellowing red color?! Yep... He's lost it, that was the only explanation to this! Listening to the male, he nodded his head slowly. Yea, it was a net not a patch of weeds. Plus, weeds wee not that tall in the area. Blinking slowly, he started to make sure the male wasn't exhausting himself too much. However, his question seemed to catch Gray's attention after he looked away from him. The gasp made him raise his eyebrow some, before he heard his answer. Light green, that's what he thought in the beginning but... Wait was his eyes a light blue color now?! Taking one of his hands he rubbed his eyes some.

"Because..." He stated softly, before he started to listen to what the other was saying. So he wanted to go to the water... That was interesting enough but his eyes for goodness sake! Why did his eyes keep changing colors!? Then he went to the wish part, huh? He would grant him a wish for saving his life...? How... weird...? He saved him because it was his net he got stuck in, and who wouldn't help when someone was struggling like that?! When the other hugged him, he blinked a few times. Gently hugging the other back awkwardly, he listened to what he said. "Welcome... You don't need to thank me so many times..." He said softly before he stared him in the eyes. He was insane, yep... He was just seeing things, no way the others eye color could change so freely. It was not humanly possible!

Swallowing lightly, he started to think about what his wish should be. His mind was slowly starting to wrap around a certain idea. It was more of a request than a wish, but it wasn't a hard wish either. Rather easy to grant- if Gray had the time to see him daily. "Well... There is one thing I wish for..." He stated with a light smile on his face, before he let out a soft. He stared at the others eyes for a moment, before he let out a nervous laugh. "I know it's a stupid wish, but can I see you more often? Like hang out daily like friends do?" He asked tilting his head slightly to the side. Hopefully that wasn't a completely stupid wish... But that was what he wanted. He would be able to have company besides his father! No offense to his father, but he was rather lonely...

Grayson's coughing had subsided by this point which caused him to be happy because he really didn't like the coughing because it hurt his chest even though he was very much upset about having been caught like that but at least this young man was there in time to rescue him which really showed how some people still would save another persons life. He blinked looking at Alvaro not knowing that his eyes kept changing color because he was focusing on breathing and keeping himself upright. "What is it that your staring at me like that for ?" he asked softly as he then tilted his head to the side wanting to understand the other male.

"I don't know what else to say since surely would have died had you not been here to save my life." he informed him his eyes going a deep shade of blue as he spoke those words. He could see the other was thinking but he wasn't sure about what and even though he could read minds he was not about to do so with someone he didn't know who wouldn't appreciate someone else being in there minds would seriously freak the other male out considering he was looking at him like he was right now and that was only because of his eyes even though he was not aware of the changes until right now.

Hearing the wish Graydon tilted his head to the side some blinking at him. "You mean that the only thing you want from me Alvaro is to have company each and every day ?" he asked blinking rapidly his eyes going a rainbow of colors right before the others eyes as he checked out to make tusre that it is right because right now he was very much emotional and confused. "Alvaro I can do that but understand that its your one wish and honestly I'll do it without hesitation but don't worry I think that I may do something else for you as well. " he told him blinking as he heard something nearby so he blinked once more and sat there waiting for the other.

Alvaro was happy to see that the other's coughing was subsiding, that was good. It must've hurt to cough so much like that. However, his gaze stayed on the others eyes. They kept changing colors! Yea, maybe he was dreaming about all this. How could he not be? Whose eyes could change that much and that fast? He had no idea, but he was brought out of his staring when he heard the other male spoke. E-eh? Why was he staring at him? How could he tell the other his eyes were changing colors? "Colorful eyes." He muttered softly, yea perfect way to put it. Then again, he also felt like an idiot once more. Anyone could take that as a normal compliment- which he wouldn't mind that, Gray's eyes were amazing!

Even though they made him think he was going insane... Listening to the male, he blinked a few times paying attention to the deep shade of blue his eyes changed to. "I would like to think others would do the same... I know if I were stuck in a fishing net, I would want to be saved." He said smiling lightly, before he let out a soft sigh. "I'm glad you're okay." He stated softly, before he headed off into his thinking bubble. If this guy were to really grant his wish, then he wanted to make sure it was one he would always cherish. Why? Simply because it would suck to wish for something that would be useless. Most people probably would wish for fame or wealth, nope. He would wish for something to let his loneliness go away. Who would want to be lonely? Alvaro knew first hand, he didn't want to be lonely if he could wish it away.

However, after he spoke his wish he blushed some in embarrassment. The other was even tilting his head some! Hearing the question, he nodded his head lightly. Yes, that was the only thing he really wanted... Hopefully the other male didn't find him pathetic for wishing for something like that. His gaze was locked with the others, trying to ignore the rainbow of colors he saw. A soft sigh left his lips, before he heard the other say his name. Huh? He could do that?! Smiling at him, he listened to what all he was saying. He blinked himself at the last part. Huh? "That is my wish, I wouldn't change it... However, you don't need to do something else. Seeing you everyday is probably asking too much already, and I'm grateful that you'll do it without hesitation." He said smiling happily.

Alvaro was happy to see that the other's coughing was subsiding, that was good. It must've hurt to cough so much like that. However, his gaze stayed on the others eyes. They kept changing colors! Yea, maybe he was dreaming about all this. How could he not be? Whose eyes could change that much and that fast? He had no idea, but he was brought out of his staring when he heard the other male spoke. E-eh? Why was he staring at him? How could he tell the other his eyes were changing colors? "Colorful eyes." He muttered softly, yea perfect way to put it. Then again, he also felt like an idiot once more. Anyone could take that as a normal compliment- which he wouldn't mind that, Gray's eyes were amazing!

Grayson heard the comment about colorful eyes and blinked his eyes going back to a light purple which was normal for him. "Oh I'm sorry forgive me I'm not used to being around many people these days. " he informed him still not knowing that the other had seen that his eyes were different colors which would amuse him to some extent but in a sense it would upset him and that was not something that he wanted. "Well to be honest things about me are not what they seem to say the least but that is neither here nor there right now. " he told him then nodded.

"You may still make a wish when your ready because having me spend time with you is not really a wish but a request that I can handle doing for you along with granting you a wish. " he told him smiling as he rose to his feet wobbling a little. "So where can I stay while I'm here since my home is far away and it would be hard for me to get back and forth it would be easier and wiser for me to stay around here somewhere if there is a place that is. " he told him softly as he gazed over the water a little. His home was this place so it was always going to be and he would never change that. He rolled his shoulders a little and then gave the other a deep smile. "Your going to have fun with me I can just feel it. " he told him reaching out to touch his shoulder lightly.

Alvaro smiled at the male some, he couldn't believe that this male didn't hate him. It had been his nets that caught the male... But he would try and not upset the male. He just wanted the male to be safe, yet somehow he was going to be getting a wish granted? All of this was a bit too much, but he was okay with the other male being around. His eyes were interesting, plus they were now a light purple! It was such a pretty color, in his mind. Listening to the male, he shook his head lightly. "No need to apologize." He said softly, why would the other male apologize to him for something so simple? It wasn't his fault he wasn't around many people, so the male didn't need to apologize.

When the male spoke again, he couldn't help but blink a few times. Well... He was a bit confused, but that was okay. He just nodded slightly to that, and continued to listen to the male. Still make a wish? Why, he had wished for the male's company! A request? His gaze followed the male as he rose to his feet, he didn't mind spending time with him? Smiling more, he started to stand up himself. However, the next part stumped him. Where... would Gray be staying? He could always stay in their guest bedroom... But what would he tell his father? Ugh! He would deal with that later on. "If you'd like, you could stay in the guest's room at my house?" He offered with a smile. His gaze shifted to the water, before he noticed the other male rolling his shoulders. Hm? Were his shoulder's okay?

Before he could question that, he noticed the other's smile. Huh? Listening to him, his cheeks started to be coated in a light pink color. His own smile widen, before he felt the other touch his shoulder. "Thanks." He said softly, before he looked up at the male in the eyes. "I hope you have fun, too." Alvaro added, as he placed his hand gently on Gray's. His smile stayed on his face, before he cleared his throat lightly. "Should I show you to my house?" He asked a bit unsure. Did Gray want that, or would the other male enjoy staying here a bit longer?
