Wherewithal skidded to a halt, heaving and perhaps a little cross. But he really had no call to be - he'd done well for himself today. "Congratulations," he wheezed to the lucky - or fast, or skilled, or whatever - kin who'd caught the final goose.

Glossbones definitely hit a few kin and bushes along the way, but the goose still eluded his greedy little hooves.

Go! She darted after the goose and kept watch of the other kin as to not spear them with her horns.

Perhaps he might be mad, but Faster was not the sort to blame others for things, whether they were in his control or not. No; they were the disadvantaged ones, after all.

No, there: the last goose had been caught. He could tell from the silence, the tense triumph of the place. He stood from where he'd been hiding and bowed his head in congratulations. He had caught six plump geese: not the most, but, he thought, the proudest catch.
