When asked about what he did, Spike shook his head and pointed to the maids and butlers. "They did. But he didn't let many of them. All he did during his time here was ask about the Alpha."
"Yeah, well, he needs to go back home." Dragon added then looked at Oliver again. "Do your parents even know you left?" Probably not. They never cared about their children, by what he could recall.

Oliver nodded. "Yup" He raised his finger to his mouth. "Daddy said you did too." The boy took a letter out of his pocket and handed it to Phoebe, who opened it and read it out loud.
"Dear Dragon, I hope this letter finds you well. Knowing Oliver, I cannot doubt it'll reach your hands. I have been writing and calling for weeks now in an attempt to reach you and find out your thoughts about Oliver's visit, but I suppose that you've simply been too busy to reply. Hopefully by the time Oliver arrives, you'll have a room set up for him. After all, his birthday is coming up and all he wanted was to see his favorite person in the whole world: you. Please take care of him while he's with you. He's afraid of the dark and thunderstorms, but responds well to hugs and candy. I'll come and get Oliver a week after he arrives. Until then, have fun with your brother. He loves you more than anyone in the world. Love, Adrian." Phoebe lowered the letter, looking to Oliver who was busy playing with his stuffed dragon and kissing its nose. "Aww, that's sweet. You're his favorite person!" He smiled, then looked back to Dragon.

Dragon narrowed his eyes in disgust as he heard the letter get read aloud. The nerve of that man to write to him like an old friend. Or worse, like a son. What hit the nail on the head was one of the last comments. A week. Oliver would be here for an entire week. Dragon sighed and rubbed his forehead before looking at Phoebe. "That doesn't matter. He shouldn't be here, it's dangerous." He looked at Oliver with frost blue eyes. "Call Adrian and tell him to pick you up."

"Stop that, of course he can stay." Phoebe tucked the letter away, then started walking over to the stairs. "Now then, let's get you situated up in your room. You must be so tired from your long journey." The boy nodded and Phoebe patted Oliver's back again, walking up the stairs. "Spike? Can you get his bags and follow me?" he called over his shoulder. "Dragon, you help too."
Oliver yawned and set his head on Phoebe's shoulder, closing his eyes and holding on to the man's arm as he was carried up to one of the guest rooms. Phoebe took great care in making sure that Oliver was placed closeby, wanting to be able to take care of the child if he needed to. He didn't much like it when people were spaced out all over his house.

Dragon clenched his jaw as Phoebe went to give Oliver a room. This was the worst way to come back from a vacation. He wanted nothing to do with his "family" and now here was one of them, wanting nothing more than to cling to him for an entire week. And Phoebe was more than happy to let it happen.
A sound rumbled from Dragon's throat that was similar to his demonic growl when he was told to help. In a fit of rage, he grabbed all the bags from Spike and held them over his shoulders as he grumpily followed the host and the boy.

Phoebe hummed very quietly as he carried the child into the guest room, laying him on the large bed and covering him up. "Now then, if you need anything, just touch that little button on the nightstand and someone will come to you, alright?" he instructed. The little boy nodded, then turned onto his side and hugged the stuffed dragon to his body as he drifted off to sleep. After situating the bags by the dresser, Phoebe ushered Dragon out, then smacked his arm once the door was closed. "How can you treat him like that? He's just a kid, a baby, and you're acting like you hate him. He's your brother! I mean, for God's sake, my brothers all forgot I existed, but I still welcome them happily into my home whenever they remember. What on Earth is the matter with you?" He crossed his arms, incredibly irritated with the much younger man.

"He's not my brother." Dragon said as he brushed aside Phoebe's arm after the smack, his expression lacking all innocence replacing it with disgruntlement. "And he's not part of that family, either. Soon enough they'll get bored of him like they did with me. Who knows? Maybe this birthday trip is just an excuse." he muttered.

"Well, he certainly thinks he is." Phoebe sighed, rolling his eyes and looking to the door. "He's just a kid, Dragon, and he clearly idolizes you. Stop acting like a jerk and at least try to be nice to him. He didn't do anything wrong to you. There's absolutely no reason for you to be acting this way to a child. It's petty, and to be honest, I don't like this side of you." He turned on his heel and started for the main bedroom. "I'm going to get changed, then I've got to finish up a couple paintings. My agent found a buyer, so I've got to have them done by next week."

Dragon exhaled through his nose. This was infuriating. He was getting yelled at for distrusting a family that gave him every reason not to trust them. Whether Phoebe liked it or not, he wasn't going to change his attitude to Oliver.
When talked to about the paintings, Dragon looked elsewhere. "Okay. I'll get some sleep while I'm at it." he said as he scratched the back of his head. Truth be told, he wanted to watch Yo Gabba Gabba! He looked at Phoebe. "How close are you to finishing them?"

Dragon scowled at the comment. There was no getting out of this, was there? Fine, he'd deal with it. It wouldn't be as bad if Phoebe was around.
Deciding to focus on more important matters, Dragon hurried to one of the rooms he remembered having a TV in. He looked around every few seconds, making sure that nobody was close to him. Once he was sure the coast was clear he went in and eagerly turned on the TV, smiling as he found the kids' show come on.

About fifteen minutes into Dragon's show, Oliver's little red head popped up around the corner, big eyes blinking. He looked at the screen, recognizing the show, then quietly sneaked into the room, sitting beside Dragon and sitting Indian style as he watched the show.

Dragon smirked as he watched the characters bounce around and sing ecstatically. Within minutes he was laughing lightly and even mumble-singing along. He didn't seem to notice Oliver sneak in.
