He was growing less light on his feet, Sun discovered: the dancing had taken a toll on his muscles. It'd taken a toll on everyone else's, too, though, and he glanced around the clearing.

It was time to shake his hindquarters as though his children weren't watching.

It sounded like someone, at least, found that interesting. To be honest, Sun wasn't sure who or where the judges were: he figured, though, that a surge of noise nearby did indicate something positive. Unless they were admiring someone else. That was likely, too.

He focused on himself again, trying to be both conservative with his body and, er, stylish, whatever that meant. They'd liked the spin, Sun thought, and he performed one again - with less success, this time, but still an appreciable upsurge in volume.

Maybe he'd work on that some other time. It was fine, though: his legs were becoming to grow more and more tired as he continued putting them through their paces. Would it be time for another break soon?

Sun certainly hoped so: keeping up was getting more and more trying. He hadn't known dancing was so hard!

Well, he had, but he hadn't known it took this much stamina out of a kimeti.

He switched to another tactic - bending his knees as he stood in place - and winced as he realized it was even worse, considering how tired he was. Perhaps this would've been a better move at the beginning of the event.

Still, though, he could see the same acha approaching him as before...

And, yes, a much-appreciated break was here. Sun nodded his thanks and weaved his way back out of the crowd. It was beginning to die down a little, as kin with less stamina were stepping daintily (or exhaustedly) out of the crowd. A good thing: it would be harder to whack someone with his tail. With any luck, none of those kin were from Clan Westfen just yet - he wasn't sure if he could spot them right now, and he'd rather not expend the effort to search. He had some relaxing to do.

With great reluctance, he made his way back onto the dance floor-c**-stage. It seemed he'd been unable to get as much recuperation this time, and he figured that was to be expected. The dance had been trying, and even a long break would be less effective now.

And one, and two, and three...

Dancing was much harder now, Sun realized, even though there were fewer kin to press against. The brief respite had only made his eventual return to moving again worse. The acha had probably planned this. He shook his head out as he moved, trying to get a few last steps in.

But soon enough, he'd tired himself out, and he nodded and made his way out. That was an ordeal...that he didn't want to repeat. Possibly ever. Fortunately, he probably wouldn't have to, for he was staying in the swamp, and with Westfen, for the remainder of his foreseaable life.
