Welcome to the Checkmate Choose your Own Adventure!

This contest is going to be run as an RP adventure consisting of 10
prompts, each running for 3 days. If you enter, then please take this into
consideration -- you must be able to play for a solid month, from now until
January 23rd, posting once every 3 days! Your replies don't have to be long,
but they do have to be on time.

If this isn't an obstacle for you, and you're excited by the idea of RPing out
one of your kin [and getting an RP point toward legendary as a result] then
this is the event for you!

Note that if you are a newbie with 0 kin, you can still participate! Just invent
a kin of any species for the event -- but make sure you have some concept of
their personality, or making decisions could prove to be a difficult challenge...
