Prompt: The Old Mountain (March 21 - April 20): There are seven stones standing in a wide, empty field.

Nameless. The concept of such a shame upon the male caused his oval shaped ears to lazily flicker in the mild annoyance that seemed to consume him from inside. Snorting, he slowly shifted his azure hues to scowl at the lands before him, the Totoma forced out into the world for the soul reason of finding..no, earning the name that he would be known amongst his herd. No longer would he be spoken about about behind his back or questioned by his peers on when he would seek out his name. Such a concept was no longer to far from him, yet the journey had lead him far from home, a large growing field that was void of snow and the temperature rising only causing him discomfort if not annoyance in itself. Slowly he move down towards the field, his hooves feeling heavy in the dirt and sand and almost..unnatural. Long gone was the soft and gentle touch of the snows of his homeland, replaced now with what the nameless one could only assume was mud. Entering the fields, his blazing white coat stood out amongst the golden background leaving the male feeling...vulnerable and out in the open. In the winter snows, he was invisible yet and yet here his coat screamed out for all to see as if begging for stray eyes to find him.

Within the field, a series of stones seemed to jut out from the ground and curiosity got the best of the Totoma as he moved closer to observe and study them. There was nothing special around them, the field vast and empty save for the large stones that had long gathered his attention. Obsidian in color, they passed for nothing impressive to the male as he snorted in annoyance. They had no meaning, no purpose and truth be told, they would be better off as dust upon the ground. The male canted his head as an idea came to his mind, a slight smirk coming to his lips as he looked around. Perhaps...this was a sign for his name? What if he smashed these large boulders? What if he took down the seven stones? So many names he could be given: Stonehorns, Mountain Smasher, maybe even Brokenhorn should one of the mountains dare to rob him of one of the massive curved horns that protruded from his cranium.

With no name, the Totoma moved quickly, running back before his heavy hooves gripped at the dirt as he took a deep breath, his chest swelling before he excelled..and ran. His body moved quick, his horns lowered as he went to challenge the structure of the first stone. An echo of the collision between the beast and stone filled the field, the rock unscathed, unmoved and surely unhindered. Annoyed, he backed up only to run once more, the sound of his horns slamming against the rock once more and as earlier, the rock was unscathed. Snorting, the stubborn male spent hours upon hours, running his horns into the first stone and yet it was unforgiving, refusing to yield and in the end, leaving the nameless male with a growing headache and heavy heart. He was stubborn as any of his tribe, but he would understand something so foolish that it needed to be moved past. No, he wouldn't try to break the seven stones. He couldn't even take down one. Instead, he snorted in annoyance before once more setting across the field. His name may not be here, but it is out there...it was only a matter of finding it.

Prompt: The Mangrove (April 21 - May 21): A sweet doe sings a song of lost love.

An ache of pain went through the nameless Tomota's head as he walked through the field, trudging a head to find his name on what seemed to be a rather endless and hopeless journey. He glanced up, a cool breeze lightly dancing across his features as he noticed the sky's dimming, the stars slowly starting to peer through the teal colored sky that slowly darkened with each fleeting moment. Night time was coming quick and the male knew he would have to be down soon. A sigh escaped him as he now observed his surroundings. Home, he would long have retreated back to the end of a warm cave or even buried beneath the snow, curled upon himself and preserving his own heat. Here? Well, the blanket of snow would not be a welcoming sight as he found himself still trudging through an empty field. A soft snort of annoyance left the nameless one as he lowered himself into the grass, curling upon his body and moving to lay his head upon his back legs. Did he feel safe? No. Would he sleep at all? More than likely not.

The nameless one closed his eyes, his journey's ware catching up with him as exhaustion encompassed the white beast into a fast and quick sleep. His ear twitched faintly, the hazy surrounding of dream filling his vision as he heard a soft lull from the distance. It was the voice of a doe, undeniably so, though which clan he couldn't quite establish. Curiosity got the best of the male, the sound quite enticing as he moved through forward before pausing almost as quickly as he had started. The crunch of snow was a welcoming sound and sensation beneath his hooves, the male moving quicker now as he followed the sounds of the doe. He walked for hours, he was sure of it and in those hours he had trudge up snowy mountain sides and faced the force of a snow storm that stung his face. Yet the voice continued, promised unspeakable beauty as the notes teased and taunted the young male. He was close, he knew he was. Over a bend the male climbed, his body heavy and sore. Could he walk any further? Snorting, his fur was now coated in a layer of snow, he was tired and soon, he felt hopeless. Was the voice an empty siren? One that teased him.

It was then that he saw her, but unlike him, she wasn't nameless. In fact, he knew her well, a childhood friend that he had grown close with. They had been close friends and if he was true to admit it, he had started to long give his heart to her. "H..how are you alive?!" He cried out in startled fear, his body lurching forward with no guidance as he ran towards the female Totoma, his head instinctively moving to nuzzle his face against the soft blue fur of her neck. The female smiled as she kept her eyes upon him, but said now words save for the soft song she sang...which words now becoming a sound in the background to the male who looked at his long lost friend. "Please, is this real?" He asked, studying the doe who finally stopped singing as she looked at him with a soft sadness in her eyes. "It is time to wake up, nameless one. It is not safe anymore. Wake up." Her voice echoed around him, and frantically he saw the haziness of slumber starting to leave him before the male jolted his head up. Back in the field, the stars ahead were starting to twinkle in the morning sky as the sun was already crowning. It was time to rise...but she had said it was unsafe.

"I'm going...Snowdance." Sighing, he pushed himself to his hooves, his body aching in complaint as it didn't feel rested enough, but his attention was on something completely as he stretched for a brief moment. A dream of her hadn't been seen in a long time; years. Snowdance, one who could dance and sing better then any in their clan..and who's life was taken by the bitter cold that they had chosen to endure. She had gone out to hunt when the clan needed it the most, despite some had asked her not to go. A blizzard was felt oncoming, even he had told her they could easily go a few more days with out food. They were strong, even the young ones. He remembered the smile she had given him, told him she would be safe..and left never to return again. He had not been there when scouts found her frozen body, and he had not been there when they put her form to rest. No, he wanted his last memories to be of her happy, reassuring him and most importantly alive. Sighing, the male started out once more, this time with a heavy heart and his thoughts upon his fallen friend.
