Once you have a Legendary Kin, that isn't the end of their story -- there's still room for them to grow and change, to take on additional forms so that they can explore the swamp and beyond to its full extent.
If you're interested in achieving an alternate shape for your already-ascended kin, you must fulfill the following reqs:
6 months from ascension for first; 6 months from any other alt form after that. 3 non-solo RPs post-ascension of 500+ words; at least one must be a blessing. The kin must either own or have met, through RP, the animal* in question. 1 solo RP of 500+ words in which your legendary dreams about taking their new form.
* If you're interested in taking on the form of a non-open pet/familiar, you must have permission from the species creator.

Her alternate form is a hornet and while it can fly (FREEDOM!), it can only sting. Though imminent pain, poisoning, and burning by fire are nice, it's hardly satisfying. She is a textural, hands-on type who enjoys visceral displays of prowess. I am petitioning the Swamp/Crane for another alternate form better suited for her selective needs. She likes to fly fast and swoop in for the kill, twisting her svelte body at the last minute with neck-breaking maneuvers. And with those teeth, the lifeblood will be all the sweeter.

If she can't have one as a companion, perhaps she could share the skies with them. Stalking and endless planning enrich the soul, but now it's time to test her adaptability and learn a few new tricks. Always on the lean side, this sturdier form is more durable and engaging with on-site kills. Oh how Doom dreams of driving her prey into the punishing ground.
Username: Jun D Kin: New Form: Giant Wasp Permission: - Reasoning: Her giant wasp, Twice Removed, is the first creature she'd ever let into her heart - as a hunter who tended to perseverance and poison, she greatly identified with the relentless creature's sting. During Ascension, she'd felt a pull towards this beast-form dearest to herself, but, the egotism of the doe still lingering at the time, slipped into the skin of the wilful owlcat. Since then she has mingled with and blessed many a different Kin, not least for the tribe she now calls home, and has (despite her long-term reluctance) finally borne children of her own. These experiences of communal bonds have increasingly pushed her outwards of her younger self-aggrandisation into the community-mindedness of the wasp, and ever stronger now she hears the call: for the greater good.

Username: Jun D Kin: New Form: Winged Mantis (it's not in the Masterlist thread but it's basically the winged variant of the Mantis template) Permission: I'm the originator 8D Reasoning: A lean and lissome body, the most graceful of dancers, swaying to-and-fro, a leaf in the wind, a flower. Wings flare: an arcing flight - slash - the sharpest of edges tears into hapless flesh. The victim is consumed - the dancer resplendent. Before Rouge met this creature, she'd never realised how much she missed this mirror of herself she'd never known. Now she knows. The hunter who dances, the dancer who hunts - the hypnotising vision. (Also, the rumours that she nearly killed Watch Me that night that eventually beget her darling daughters are wildly exaggerated.)

Username: anemosagkelos Kin: New Form: Gryphon Permission:Screenshot Reasoning: The reason she is drawn towards gryphons is because they are fierce strong-willed creatures and a top predator, as she is. At this point, she doesn't feel much need for the manipulation she used as a doe and many forms are simply not appealing to her. She embraces herself as a huntress and feels a gryphon would as well. She has a need to expand her hunting grounds and techniques and what better way to do that than to be able to fly? Subconsciously, she has a feeling that she is stagnating and needs a new challenge, new knowledge. And frankly, she has a shallow streak that demands she looks attractive in all forms (sorry wasps) and a hope a gryphon form will make fishing easier. (It won't but don't tell her; it's a secret!)

It is a solitary creature with a bond that binds it close to usually one companion it prizes above all. A fierce and protective parent, it protects its family with a ferocity that is fueled by love and instinct. He, too, is all of these. After growing accustomed to the wonder of the water that once so terrified him, he looks to the tree tops. A coat of soft fur to curl up with his loved ones is another bonus that pulls him to this creature he feels in his soul.

Having encountered a caveworm, she was surprised to find herself at ease with their role in the swamp's cycle of life and death, and also realised she has completely accepted her part within it. Her blessing style attempts to get kin to consider their desires and shortcomings with a view of their finite lives; with a cave worm form, she can invoke that horror and reflection, hopefully with less biting and physical injury...
