01. Once Bitter Twice Shy
Sleepless' sanctuary is shattered by the arrival of a strong-headed doe seeking a hex. To ward her off, she pretends to weave a curse, and carelessly invents the fictional Swamp Witch Root.
02. The Insomnia Cure
The doe, Bitter End, returns proclaiming the ineffectiveness of said hex, and drags Sleepless off on an unwilling journey to locate the fictional Swamp Witch Root for a stronger curse.
03. [WP01] Never Idle-s Building
Their journey actually gets off to an eventful start as they find themselves enlisted into Never Idle's drive for construction materials – even though Sleepless spends much of it trying to escape, she nevertheless remains with her captor, having suffered and learnt much.
04. [WP02] Little Lost Bird
As indisposed as she is, she does not miss the chance to perform "surgery" on a little lost bird, showing off her medical knowledge in front of Bitter End.
05. [WP03] Stuck!
The captor that she almost manages to escape from when Bitter End gets stuck in some quicksand – instead, Sleepless unwillingly learns a valuable lesson about working with others, that lands her right back in the doe's oblivious clutches.
06. [WP04] Overly Ripe
As they happen upon an orange grove with a collection drive, Sleepless finds her dormant competitive spirit awakened, and instead of attempting escape, she ends up in a very immature fight with Bitter End.
07. [WP05] Far From Home
The tangle of limbs they had fallen asleep in after their great orange battle awake in a strange place...full of strange plants and symbols that captured her great scientific interest.
08. [WP06] The Return
Their return to the waking world is abrupt, but the episode had reminded her of her great joy in life, the quest of knowledge, a quest that this journey, as unwilling as she had been, was going some ways in fulfilling.
09. Checkmate CYOA
Another strange dream comes knocking: for once, she is alone, but no less knowing. She is driven by the impulse to know, but she wakes up with rushes in her hair, never having known.
10. The Wolf Pack Hunting Game (ORP)
Her greatest trial yet comes in the form of a game that Bitter End walks them into: a game with tons of Kin. Sleepless wrestles with her fears to come out the other side...
11. So Bitter the Taste of Betrayal
...with a strange, hesitant, new appreciation of Kin-kind. People would always be scary to her...but...perhaps...they weren't so bad. She had even made a tentative peace with Bitter End – and then it is all shattered when her deception comes to light.
12. An End to Sleepless Nights
Finally, she is returned to her beloved abode...but everything has changed, and for the first time in her life, being alone makes her almost...lonely. When Bitter End returns and they admit their own flaws, Sleepless finally admits also that she does find value in having other Kin around. In having...a friend.
13. [WP12] The Obelisk
...And when another dream returns her to the Obelisk alone, the thought of that friend reminds her there is more to life than scientific inquiry.

:: Story Told: The Ant & Its Existentialist Crisis

Why Sleepless would make an interesting Legendary...
Very much a scientist by nature, Sleepless has always been exceedingly interested in all of the Swamp's creations - except the most important of all: the Kin. Her keen interest in all else faltered when it came to Kin - put simply, it scared her to have to interact with others. Instead, researching all of the Motherfather's other creatures and plants - what made them tick, what uses had they - Sleepless had set up for herself a solitary abode in a secluded, misty marsh (complete with extensive herb garden for experiments both healing and harmful), and, to keep Kin away, cultivated the rumour that she was a dangerous witch. This rumour backfired upon her when her reputation caused Bitter End to force her on an unwilling journey to complete a powerful (and entirely fabricated) spell - but this journey turned out to be a blessing she had never thought to sought. Through forced interaction with her unwitting captor and those around them, Sleepless slowly whittled down her fear of other Kin, and concluded their wild goose's chase with a new love for her brethren. Now, finally, her ever-increasing knowledge of the Swamp's bounty may be put to use not just for knowledge's sake alone but in the service of Kin-kind. Sleepless has several attributes that would make her an ideal Legendary: she is already armed with an extensive knowledge of biology and botany helpful to expecting Kin, already has an appropriately atmospheric base that would make it easy for seekers to locate her, and already has a reputation as one who is sort of "Swamp-touched" - all she now needs is to actually be touched by the Motherfather in the rather more helpful way, rather than, yannow, being a fake Swamp witch.
