!! Matope Discord !!

Hi everyone!

As you may have read, Matope now has moved from Slack to a chat channel on Discord. We're using this because it's really easy to manage things like creating a separate meta channel (for making meta-related plans) and stream notification and discussion channels (so that it's super easy to see whether a stream is going on, and so that people who can't participate in normal stream chat can discuss the ongoing stream). It also includes DMs and group DMs so you can discuss things like pairs privately and instantly, without needing to give out personal messenger information. It has a phone app, a desktop app, and a browser version that's just as functional as the desktop app, which means it should be compatible with most of your computers.

If you haven't already signed up for Discord, you should do so now! You don't need to own any kin to join our Discord server, but you do need to be interested in Matope, and to have an account that you don't mind associating with your Matope identity.

Once you have an account, you can join via this link.

When you join the server, please make sure to change your nickname to something associated with your Gaia username, to make it clear who you are. If you cannot be clearly identified, you may be removed from the server.

Obviously, joining our Discord server is not a requirement to participate in the shop. However, we're personally really excited about using Discord! It gives us the opportunity to run some real-time events with you guys, like Werewolf or Mafia, pending a survey of compatible timeslots. We will try to make games convenient for as many people as possible, but we may opt to hold games at multiple slots so different sets of people can join in.
