Sylva's comment raised a brow from her companion, now left to wonder just how differently the changes to her body would affect her. "Is it a big difference?" Lucatiel had only ever really had the one body, with only a small amount of variance between the way she is now and her condition upon waking up. She didn't really know how different other body types were, let alone how stark the contrast would be for someone who'd changed in a day. "I guess that might be a little dumb to ask given how different your wardrobe is now, but still. How're you holding up in it, by the way? That transition you had was uh, still kind of concerning."
This time Luca found herself dealing with the wild Yungoos just as much as her companion. A pair strutted up intent on repelling the invaders, but once they were in combat it was clear that their durability was their only claim to fame. They managed to withstand a round of her pokemon's attacks, and even do considerable damage to Xanthos once they discovered his Dark-type weakness... But unfortunately it came much too late, and when the trainer's pokemon were ready to go again, they dispatched their foes with little issue.

Sylva pursed her lips, trying to concentrate more on the battles before them, then her own body and how it was strikingly different from what it previously had been. "It's like I'm a whole new person physically." She finally spoke up, a hand rubbing her stomach area. "It still feels really weird, but otherwise I'm fine." She added, looking to Luca. "Whatever or whoever did this to me might of thought it a curse, but... I mean, I guess it was a blessing."
That being said, Alrun and BelAir were still steadily dealing with random foes who kept popping up from the grass. This time a Smeargle and a Meowth appeared, each ready to attack. However both Alrun and BelAir swooped up into the air, avoiding any attacks coming at them. They then swiftly flew down and attacked both the Smeargle and Meowth respectively winning the bout.

The young swordswoman looked over her companion, nodding along to her report while her pokemon returned for healing. "Well, as long as you're fine with it. With any luck you'll get used to it before too long." Luca had to turn away to spray down her ghost-type with potions, eventually bringing the sentient armor to a mirror shine once healthy. "At least it's not a bad look. I still think you look cute like this." With a smile she turned back to Sylva, still on the lookout for the Trial cave.
Meanwhile, her pokemon were eager to keep up the pace, this time going after a Cutifly and a Makuhita. Both pokemon were unfortunately doomed from their match-up, with nothing like the last batch to do considerable damage, or even push them back. The bug-type was the only one to get past the first round, but even then, they were quick to fall almost immediately after.

Sylva's cheeks reddened for a moment when Luca mentioned she was 'cute'. At this point you'd think Sylva would be used to Luca's manner of speaking, but it still got her. It might be because in this case, Sylva felt the same... she defiantly thought she looked cute like this as well, at least she wasn't ugly anymore... Taking a quick glance around the area, just beyond another two wild attackers rested the familiar red roof of a Pokemon Center. "Wasn't the trial cave just beyond that Pokemon Center?" Sylva inquired, changing the subject like a champ. She looked back to Luca to see if this could be confirmed.
Meanwhile, Alrun and BelAir continued their training, focusing on the two new combatants. Alrun took to the air once more, nearly missing the attack of the Crabrawler, however BelAir was just a bit to slow, and was quickly taken down by a tackle. Thankfully the bird wrung himself free to fly back up into the air avoiding any more attacks for the time being. After coming down from the air, Alrun took care of the Crabrawler, while BelAir weakened the Yungoos enough for Alrun to finish the job.

The swordswoman only smiled down at her companion when her face took on a bright hue, chuckling a little that Sylva didn't rebuke her remark. Luca had her eyes off the road so long she didn't actually notice the Pokemon Center until the former redhead pointed it out. "Oh! Yeah, it should be right across it." Eager to finally see what these trials were all about, the taller trainer started off a little faster, jogging past the last of the wild pokemon after they've been defeated.
Motioning for Sylva to follow, Lucatiel eventually turns off away from the pokemon center, stopping up against the mouth of a large cavern she finds cut into the sheer wall along the path. A cool breeze can be felt flowing from within, almost drawing her in through the thin shade that's cast over the entrance. This was definately the place. The swordswoman calls her pokemon back and waits for her companion to catch up, practically grinning ear to ear. "I think this is the place. You ready?"

Her distraction worked like a charm, and it seemed Luca was very much eager to check out the trial. More so than Sylva is. Picking up the pace, Sylva's loyal companions abandoned getting into another fight in order to keep up with their trainer, who.. seemed to be moving a bit faster than she normally would running after Luca. Joining the eager swordswoman, Sylva nodded affirmatively. "Yea, At least it feels like it's a heck of a lot cooler in there than it is in here." Sylva replied. "I'm ready as I'll ever be." Well, not that it really mattered since Melemele Island was one gigantic loop and they’d end up on Route 1 again regardless of where they went from here. But Zoey wanted to explore around here some more before they moved on to the next island, plus they still had to take on Kahuna Hala.”It certainly is quite convenient! ☆ ☆【Slipping into the very first room they came across, Zoey quickly ushered Eir and Coltrane inside before shutting and locking the door behind them. ”Right, into the bathroom with ya, princess,” she urged, opening the bathroom door to let the Alolan Ninetales inside, ”Coltrane, ye can wait out here. We shouldn’t be too long.” At least she hoped so, depending on how long it would take to scrub all of the stuff out of Eir’s fur.”I mean… Do I really need to?”he murmured, seeming a bit reluctant to leave the ice fox’s side. Eir smiled warmly, giggling a bit as she lightly pushed at him with a couple of her tails.”Now now, you know that gentlemen shouldn’t be peeking in on a lady while she’s bathing~”she chided lightly, though the underlying seriousness was still there. The Rockruff’s ears stood up in alarm at that, blushing brightly and nodding rapidly in agreement.”O-Of court- course! I’ll gladly wait out here until you’re done then!”he sputtered out, trying to look for something in the room to occupy himself with in the meantime. ”How ‘bout ya stand guard by the door? Make sure no one tries to break in while we’re in the bath,” she suggested, gesturing over towards in that general direction while guiding Eir into the bathroom.
”Yet- Yes ma’am!”Coltrane immediately yipped in agreement, puffing his chest out confidently as he strutted over and seated himself by the door. No one was going to break in while he was on watch, no sirree! The Rockruff listened intently as he stood vigilant, hearing nothing really out of the ordinary on the other side of the door aside from the distant regular bustling of the Pokemon Center crowd. Meanwhile, Zoey shut the bathroom door behind them, moving to run the bath for Eir and grab soap, shampoo, anything she could find that could be serviceable for washing a Pokemon. Since the Ninetales was an Ice-type, it seemed more sensible to cut on cold instead of hot water for her. With the tub now filling up with cold water, Zoey searched the shelves for whatever there was available for guest toiletry needs. From the looks of it there was a pretty decent collection of several individually wrapped blocks of soap and some small bottles of conditioning shampoo, fairly standard issue stuff that you’d find in almost any regular hotel bathroom. ”Probably not the most ideal, but it’ll have to do,” she muttered, grabbing up all the soap and shampoo she could carry and dumping them on the floor by the tub. Eir watched intently as the water level rose, until it was high enough for her to be able to immerse herself up to her underside. ”Should be good enough, climb on in,” Zoey instructed, turning off the water and unwrapping one of the soap bars. Somewhat hesitantly, the Ninetales raised a paw and experimentally dipped it in the water, before climbing over the side and sliding as much of her body that would fit into it.
”Oooo, cold cold cold! Just how I like it~”she chirped happily, playfully sloshing the water around with her painted tails as she seated herself in as comfortable a position she could manage. Zoey chuckled softly at the Ninetales antics, placing a freshly unwrapped soap bar on the lip of the tub. ”Heh, don’t ya dare splash me, aight?” she said in a light, semi-joking tone as she dipped her hands into the tub, letting water pool into her palms and running it in a stream over the Ninetales’s fur. Eir giggled at the remark, directing a subtle sly look towards the woman as she repeatedly poured water over the ice fox until she was sufficiently wet. Grabbing at the bar of soap, Zoey immediately got to work as she scrubbed at Eir’s fur, getting as much of it worked in as possible so hopefully most of the dye and paint would come out the first time she washed it. Once she got settled into a regular rhythm while she lathered the Ninetales up, Zoey sighed softly as she let herself relax and focus on what she was doing as she worked the soap into the Ninetales’s fur. She hummed a soft harmony under her breath while she worked, which gradually turned into quiet singing that pierced the otherwise silent atmosphere. ”Sunny came home to her favorite room… Sunny sat down in the kitchen…” she sang faintly with a small smile, inhaling the subtle floral aroma of the soap as it steadily filled the room, ”She opened a book and a box of tools… Sunny came home with a mission…”
With Eir sufficiently lathered up, Zoey began rinsing off the suds, the clear water now turning cloudy with the soap, dye, and paint that came out with it while she continued singing. ”She says days go by, I’m hypnotized… I’m walking on a wire… I close my eyes and fly out of my mind… Into the fire…” It seemed a fair amount of the stuff had successfully come off with the first wash, though there was still a lot that needed to be cleaned out. ☆ ☆【It took a good few more cycles of lathering and rinsing with the soap before the bright blue of Eir’s fur became more visible, and several more before any and all traces of red paint and white body dye had been completely rinsed out. It was definitely good that they hadn’t had to dye or paint anywhere around her face since it had been mostly covered by the mask. Though, figuring it was better to be safe than sorry, Zoey fetched a washcloth, wet it, and carefully washed the Ninetales’s face before tossing it into the hamper by the door. She scrubbed Eir down with some of the conditioning shampoo to keep the fur from getting too dried out from the heavy usage of soap, letting the fox sit in the tub for a bit while she fetched towels from the nearby cabinets. ”Aight, that should be about it then,” Zoey sighed heavily, wiping at her brow with an arm as she finished rinsing out the shampoo, ”Holy s**t, we are never doin’ anythin’ like this ever again.” Eir chuckled softly, wagging her still wet tails as she stepped out of the tub after what felt like hours of just sitting in cold water.”Maybe~ But it was a pretty neat costume, riiiight?”she chirped cheerfully,”I for one think the extra effort was quite worth it~”
”Yeah well, maybe do us all a favor n’ pick somethin’ a bit less complicated for a Halloween costume next time,” Zoey retorted as she rolled her eyes and pulled the plug to start draining the water, starting a bit when she felt a few large droplets of water splash on her, ”Oi, I said no splashin’!” She glared at Eir as the Ninetales giggled gleefully, a devious grin on the fox’s face as she flicked more water at the woman with her tails.”Heehee! You’ll have to catch me if you wanna stop me~”she teased, dashing off towards the farthest end of the bathroom as she waved her tails challengingly at the woman and flicked more water her way. ”Ya wanna water war, ya sure as hell got one!” Zoey called after her, figuring that she’d humor the fox and play her little game. Dipping her hand into the still three-quarters full tub to sufficiently wet it, she tossed water droplets back at the Ninetales. For the better part of at least five minutes, the two of them danced around the small-ish bathroom, flinging little drops at each other while Zoey chased Eir with a towel in her other hand. Finally the Ninetales calmed down enough, sufficiently pleased as she let her trainer catch her and towel her off until she was as dry as a few of them could get her. Her fur was still admittedly a little damp, but since they’d be out and about in the sun after this it could easily remedy itself. On the other hand, Zoey’s tank top was slightly soaked from their water fight, though it was hard to really tell since it was black.
”Suppose I could just let it sun dry for now, we should go grab Storm, fetch Orpheus, and get goin’,” she suggested, the two of them leaving the bathroom after cleaning up the mess left behind. Although Zoey grabbed some of the soaps and shampoos and stored them in her bag for later, could come in handy later and there was certainly nothing saying that taking such things was illegal. Besides, if anything they’d probably have a whole stockpile of this stuff that they keep around just to restock the rooms when more is needed. Upon entering the room they had temporarily borrowed, Zoey chuckled softly upon seeing Coltrane sprawled out on his back with his paws in the air by the entrance, snoring softly as he dozed at his post. ”Heh, guess we must’ve taken longer than I thought,” she said with a soft laugh, walking over to the snoozing Rockruff and bending down. Definitely seemed like he had conked out at some point… Zoey smiled warmly, finding it cute how his little paws would twitch a little every few seconds or so, she almost felt bad about having to wake him up. Still, they’d spent more than enough time here already. ”Yo, time to wake up, Private Pyle,” she said softly, gently shaking him to get him to rouse. Snorting a bit, the Rockruff turned over as he stirred awake, opening one bright blue eye to look at her. A smile crossed his muzzle, before it melted away into a look of shock and panic as he immediately shot to his feet.”O-Oh dear, I-I’m th- so s-sorry ma’am! I must’ve fallen as-sleep at my pot- post!”he yipped out in rapid apologetic speech, tail waving about as he tried to get his bearings again. This was embarrassing, he had been told to stand guard at the door and yet he had ended up dozing off. To think that someone could have possibly broken in and stolen their things while he’d been napping! Thankfully that hadn’t happened, but still… Some guard dog he was!
Zoey chuckled, gently stroking the Rockruff’s head and lightly scratching him behind the ears, causing him to halt his mild panic attack as he slowly eased up and relaxed into her touch. ”Hey, don’t worry ‘bout it, least we didn’t have to worry ‘bout any thieves or anythin’ like that,” she reassured with a warm smile, ”Besides, we kinda ended up takin’ a lot longer than expected, but we should start headin’ out. Still got plenty more ground to cover.” Straightening herself up, she opened the door, letting Eir and Coltrane out of the room first before exiting herself, shutting it behind them. Reentering the main lobby area of the Center, Zoey’s eyes scanned around for Orpheus to see where he had gotten off to.”Well well, took you long enough, Fraulein~”came a lilting, teasing voice as the Zoroark spoke up from next to them, a mischievous smirk on his face. Zoey admitted that actually got her to flinch a bit, though it had been unexpected more than actually scary. ”Jeez, don’t sneak up on us like that, Orph. My paranoia’s already bad enough as is,” she said, her voice half-joking and half-serious as she lightly elbowed the Zoroark, ”Sorry ‘bout that, turns out I really underestimated the length and intensity of the process to wash dye and paint out of fur.”
Orpheus simply shrugged and smiled, not at all frustrated at having to wait for much longer than intended.”Well, I was able to get sufficient enough rest from the extended wait, so I am more than ready to head out if you are. The tea was also quite delicious, by the way,”he suggested as he handed over the leftover change, producing a Pokeball in the other hand and holding it out to her as well,”I also retrieved Storm’s Pokeball for you while I was waiting, so do not worry about that, Fraulein~ I assure you I am well on top of things.”Zoey smiled, more than happy to hear that Orpheus had already taken care of the only other thing she needed to do as she accepted the cash and Storm’s ball from him and placed them in their respective spots. ”Thank ya muchly, Orph,” she said gratefully with a nod, beckoning her Pokemon to come along as she walked towards the front doors, ”Let’s get a move on then, gang. The trip back to Alola was an uneventful one, at least that was how Naomi's distracted mind perceived it; there could have been a synchronized air and water show going on around them and he still wouldn't have noticed. He felt guilty over how his conversation with Dallas had gone, and kept turning it over in his mind to play out different scenarios. What if he'd just said yes to his proposal? It wasn't as if he didn't like Dallas, so it could've worked, forcing a new relationship to survive long distance wasn't the worst, right? Naomi groaned before pushing his face into the back of Sousa's neck, protecting his face from the wind, and, temporarily, obstructing his breathing in an environment when the air was already sparse.
With how distracted he was, Naomi was in no shape to dictate where they'd land, leaving that job to Sousa. Upon approach of the four islands he chose the one they were closest to and dove down, when they drew closer to the ground and the landmarks began to grow familiar he chose a route rather than a city, but one with one of those red housings, just in case Naomi wanted to rest. Sousa landed by the side of the building, then proceeded to crane his neck back to, gently, prod at Naomi. There was no response after the first or second prod, but after the third time the male finally stirred, and with a groan he slowly slipped off of Sousa.
"Thank you." He gave Sousa a grateful pat before he gave a look to their surroundings. The route was familiar, they were adjacent to a Pokemon Center and across from it was Verdant Cavern, and while the number escaped him he did recognize that they were back on Ula'ula island. This would be a good 'pit stop', and with this in mind he returned Sousa to allow him to rest; he didn't know how long they'd be inside the Pokemon Center, and he didn't want to just leave him out. Ieyasu, on the other hand, was a different story, since he was of an appropriate size. He was released and along with Rotom, who'd taken refuge inside of Naomi's knapsack during their flight, he followed after Naomi into the Center.
Even if it was only late afternoon, Naomi still requested a room for the rest of day, earning an amused, but obliging, nod in response from Nurse Joy. It took him several seconds to realize that it was his attire, not his request, that entertained the nurse. He was still in his costume. Naomi gave his own amused, albeit tired, smile before taking the key handed to him and heading off to find his room. It was only late afternoon, but he felt tired enough to sleep the rest of the day away, stress and attending fairs would do that to you. Once he'd stepped inside, he had just enough energy to change out of his costume before he collapsed onto the bed. He lay there, on his stomach, for a full minute before summoning the last of his will to burrow underneath the covers and closing his eyes. This was going to disrupt his sleep schedule, the thought drowsily swam around in his mind, and was his last thought before he fell asleep.

Try as he might, Ducky couldn’t pretend everything was fine. Everything was not fine. It also irritated him to no end how much the entire ordeal with Vinny bothered him. Unaware of her companion's sentiments, Luca happily took the lead on their way out, bringing them back to the entrance of Verdant Cavern. Fortunately for the both of them, the sun on the horizon had begun to set during their time engaging with the trial and its captain, blessedly easing the heat that'd bathed the entire island. "Alright, where do you wanna head next?" After a brief pause, Luca started them towards the nearby pokemon center, figuring it'd be a good stop before they continued on. "We've got a bit of time before we need to worry about rushing back to the ship. I know I said we could find somewhere to eat dinner, but I don't mind waiting until we're back on the cruise."
Truth told, Lucatiel didn't have much preference on where they went from here. Given that all that kept them from traveling freely was a means for Sylva to ferry herself between the regions, it certainly wouldn't hurt to continue along in Alola until either the ship ran its course or her friend made a point to get them back to Kanto.

Following alongside Luca as usual, Sylva thought back to their previous battle against the Totem and Ilima. They were relatively easy, and Wixon had certainly shown her own during both fights, being a Marowak now, she certainly seemed to even carry herself in a different way. She'd have to train up someone else now though, not wanting Wixon to get to big of a head.
When they reached the outside, Sylva was swiftly reminded of the sun and all it's glory. It took a minute, but eventually her eyes started to adjust. Gazing up at Luca, the blonde took a moment to think on her question. "It wouldn't hurt to get our Pokemon checked out real quick, that was an easy battle but you never know." Sylva replied, then gazed towards the Pokemon Center in question. It seemed they were already making a line towards it. "As for food, I can wait until we get back to the ship." She added, folding her arms. She was already feeling hungry, something her old body hardly felt... rather something she'd more often than not ignored. With Luca around it seemed they were always eating... so maybe the hunger pains were just harder to ignore?

Their path set, the duo entered the Pokemon Center and quick got to getting their pokemon checked. Luca did hers, and Sylva followed, slipping to the side to let anyone else come in and have their Pokemon checked out. While Luca did a bit of quick shopping Sylva looked over Wixon once more. Her red scar-like marks seemed a bit more... promoted now that she had a bigger head but the main focus was the x-shaped black mark directly in the center of her forehead. The marowak even held forward her bone showing a trick she figured out, in which she could light both ends of the bone with something that looked like a flame, but was black. "Huh, I guess that's kinda neat." A lot more interesting then normal Marowak at least.
Standing up, Sylva turned to face Luca as the woman returned once more. She inquired again where they should go next. Sylva pouted a bit in thought, looking around the center until she noticed a map. "It's a pretty small island, doesn't look like there is anything else here to note." She voiced. The sight of a cemetery made her skin crawl... she already had to many ghosts and spirits haunting her. "Why don't we head to the next island?" She pointed towards a bigger island to the north. "That one has resorts and three trails." She mentioned. The map displayed three stamps each decorated in their respective elemental representation. Water, Fire and Grass.
