Ajicka arrived in Melemele meadow and immediately let Houndoom out again. She was sure Zero was probably right on her tail, but she wanted Houndoom searching as soon as possible. It was getting increasingly late -- not terrible, just late -- and she didn't want to be out till three AM looking for eggs. Besides, they were almost done. She went ahead and released Sableye as well, before putting their pokeballs away and moving to wait for Zero. Her pokemon, meanwhile, began their search.

Jas swept off to help Houndoom and Sableye, looking curiously to the ghost pokemon. Huh, he didn't know her, either.... Ajicka must have gotten quite a few new pokemon while he was away. Was she planning ot use all of them for the Elite Four thing? Based off what he'd told her, he sort of assumed so, though... that seemed weird. He knew Ajicka was tactical and competitive, but that she'd picked up so many new pokemon for her final team... He wasn't sure. It felt odd. Then again, she'd spent more time with them than he had...

Though Ajicka arrived first, the young, silver-haried trainer was only a few seconds behind, coming down by the time she'd let her pokemon fan out. The pale Charizard came in low, so Zero simply slid off and landed on his feet, the soft dirt and flowers making the landing simple enough. Returning to the fellow trainer, he dragged his gaze across the landscape, finding the atmosphere to be quite different at night. It was all so bright and vibrant during the day, but in the dark, chilly moonlight, everything felt at rest. His thoughts wandered back to Mt. Pyre, and the graveyards that covered its surface.

Ajicka actually seemed focused on Zero. She kept a hand on her hip, the other by her side as she looked at him. She had frowned, initially, but her expression lightened as he explained, and she looked considerate, thoughtful even. Oddly... his words stirred something in her. A drive, or a reaffirmation. It felt like what he was describing was exactly what she envisioned, and what she wanted. What she felt her place was. "... I guess that makes sense," she remarked, turning to look around.

She quickly grabbed it, just in case hte heat from his body was enough to damage the plastic, and glanced over as Houndoom came bounding back, looking a little worried that he hadn't been the one to find an egg. She gave him a pat on the head, to reassure him, and looked back to Zero as she put the object away. "We can keep talking, but I want to head to the last spot," she suggested, climbing onto Ashe. She'd have him fly slower, though. They could always talk on the way.

As his friend's words hung in his mind, Zero took notice at the small change in Ajicka. He would've expected a sharper response, yet instead it was something... pleasantly looser. Zak ducked his head down and moved as far from the farm pokemon as he could to start searching. He let his pokemon take the closer areas, much to Sotnik's displeasure. He glanced down when he noticed a message from Scarlett, but initially ignored it. He really didn't want to get distracted here. He just wanted to move right on to the next location. Which was, what.... some Hill or something? Meebus had given him a quick run down of all the locations, but he didn't remember, or recognize, most of them. If he'd been paying better attention, he might have had more forewarning about this place...

Scoffing, for once in a good humored sort of way, Zak considered his response. He glanced over, relieved when he noticed Boo bouncing alongside Meebus, an egg in her hands as the three came over, Sotnik looking less enthused behind the two. He couldn't tell of the Serperior was tired, and needed a rest, or if he was just a bit exasperated at not finding eggs. Or... not having hands to hold the eggs he might have found. Shaking off the thoughts, Zak looked back down to type a response, before preparing to head off to the next, and for the region final, location.

Once again, Scarlett was tempted to tell him to just forget about it. She hated this. He'd been the one to ask what would happen if he actually managed to gather enough eggs to catch up to her. If he didn't want a reward then he shouldn't have asked. Then again, she supposed that his particular phrasing could have been taken in a number of ways, and maybe she had just interpreted it incorrectly.
