While the Salandit tested the waters to determine the worth of the man in front of him (because that was totally what was going on in front of him, right?), Mana continued to battle. And honestly? But then again, it was evident that Mana was a diva. Even as she fought through the bugs that were constantly emerging from the grass in response to the incense, she showed levels of it. Hooting and squawking needlessly and making a show when she really didn’t need too. Sullivan, of course, was still paying attention to his pokemon’s progress and was ready with the potions to heal up Mana as needed. Where Junpei might’ve disapproved of the attitude (and admittedly, Sullivan did too) he wasn’t about to leave her to pass out on the ground. In fact, he set the pokeball down for the Salandit to continue to inquire over before moving to confront and ruffled looking Mana. He gently tugged her back, which resulted in a vicious squawk and flailing of wings. The squawking didn’t bother him (a blessing in disguise) but the flailing did. He placed a hand on her head to subdue the flailing, looking to Junpei and giving a little head jerk to indicate his desire for him to take over for a bit.
