"Pfff, well now that’d be terrible," Melody remarked, crossing her arms over her chest. She noted the smirk on his face, head tilting curiously as she contemplated the response before scoffing once more. "Oh? Well that’s kind of you," she teased, "Fabian’s not the best as an audience member." The idea of him siting down and remaining still for longer than a moment was a joke in of itself but it might be nice to watch the progression of friends in their own journey; maybe he’d learn a thing or two that Melody couldn’t drill into his head.
Fabian grinned and gave a solid nod at the confirmation concerning boats, even giving a chuckle at the idea that they really be called ‘buzzkillers’. Now that was something he could get on board for. Soon his attention was returned to the gardens and the architecture littering the place, rather excited at the idea to explore. He gave Heather a wink as she shared his level of enthusiasm and agreed to the clearly obvious truth that the bridge was composed of only the finest golden material. "I think we are! Clearly, long lost wave buddies!" He gave a double point, catching wind of the groan from Lysander but not even addressing it. It was just like a friend of Melody’s to be to ‘cool’ for these ideas.
Fabian was already heading for the bridge to observe, glancing back at Heather at her question. "Hm? Oh yeah! Don’t you?" He glanced over as Sierra and Xander took to their own exploration once it was clear that Fabian would be offering no real guidance (it’d helped a look from Melody told them it was alright) before looking back to Heather. "They totally know what they’re doing!" He chimed in confidence.
"Hm… how about across the bridge first? I see like a little pavilion thing over there! I wonder what that’s about?" Fabian inquired, quickly starting off in that direction without hesitation. Susie chirped, still a little concerned but turned to Cadenza once more, noting that the pokemon seemed to have a plan and chirping excitedly to follow him. He seemed a reliable sort and she was okay with that!
Melody watched as everyone started off in their own direction, glancing at the pokemon briefly before looking to Lysander. "I think… we should stick with the pokemon. They’re a little easier to lose track of." She remarked, beginning forward to follow after Susie and Cadenza, though doing well to keep Fabian and Heather in view. Just because pokemon were easier to lose didn’t mean that she entirely trusted Fabian not to disappear into the water or something. "After all, someone ought to be there to teach them if they start learning new tricks, don’t you think?"

Though Heather had yet to explain to Tina what exactly it was they were doing, or where they even were, she could figure out for herself what she needed to do. That was why, when two odd creatures scuttled their way out from the tall grass, directly in front of the bridge her trainer and her friends were currently crossing, Tina elegantly scampered across the railing, to save time, and jumped down to combat the two. As odd as they were, disappearing as soon as they fainted, they were also easy to dispatch, and that was all this Treecko cared about.

Suddenly, as if from out of nowhere, there was an explosion of those strange pokemon, several suddenly appearing from the tall grass and even from the pond. It was odd, but certainly not concerning, especially considering how weak the pokemon were. There were a few battles that ended with their trainers needing to heal their pokemon back up, especially with Amp who'd been forced into battle through some underhanded work (or at least, that was how Lysander saw it), but overall they were doing fine. In fact, this was exactly what they needed.

Lysander simply nodded his head, taking Melody for her word. Not to mention, it wasn't hard to imagine Fabian being the.. worst kind of audience member, the guy seemed too fidgety and easily distracted to be able to suspend his attention, and movement, for a lengthy time period. "Guess it'll just have to be an audience of one then," he mused, and looked pointedly to Melody so that she knew that, yes, he was referring to her. "Just make sure you cheer loud enough for us to hear you." One of the most important, if not the most important, duties of an audience member.
Heather hummed and did a furious series of head nods, so strong was her agreement to Fabian's statement. Long lost wave buddies, totally! With one hand, the teenager brushed her bangs out of her face. "Yeah, absolutely!" she chirped. "I bet, in another life, you and I were... twins! Or something! And now, here we are: reunited once again." Weaving her tale of past lives, she nodded her head once more, softer this time but with just as much confidence. That was probably it, she was sure of it. How else could you explain how well they got along?
"Mm, not really. I usually try to be there for my pokemon when they battle," Heather admitted, and yet already she was following Fabian across the bridge. Out of curiosity, she looked over the railing to stare down at the water, though a tight-lipped Legato was the only reflection she focused on. Heather pulled back. "I guess you've got a point though." She scuttled back over to Fabian, joining him at his side. "They are born with the ability to fight after all." In a stroke of serendipity, several fossil pokemon began to appear, allowing Heather the chance to try out Fabian's training method.
Her pokemon certainly responded faster to attacks, that was what she noticed as she watched hers, and Lysander's, take on the odd pokemon. Once they had finished, Heather looked just past them and towards the 'pavilion thing' Fabian pointed out. "I dunno! Let's go find out though!" she eagerly suggested, and then put to the pedal to the metal, quickly crossing the bridge. "It's certainly pretty," she observed, once underneath it. Cadenza marched purposefully, arms swinging by his side, and kept his eyes peeled for... something, he wasn't sure yet! Sights? Pokemon? There was a lot of water around here. Maybe they'd look at that first. He turned to Susie for her opinion. With her being a fire type and all, maybe she wasn't all too keen on getting near the water.
"Hm." Lysander grunted, falling in line to keep an eye on Susie and Cadenza. Melody had a point, what with their smaller size and higher probability of getting into a battle, it would make sense that they should be the targets of their watchful eye. But, he certainly didn't miss the way she looked in Fabian and Heather's (more of Fabian's) direction. "Yeah, I guess that is included in our trainer-ly duties," he remarked jokingly. Lysander grew quiet for a moment, and for the first time since their arrival he gave the gardens a good once over. "This was a nice place you chose," he eventually spoke up. "...I could see myself coming back here again."

Melody scoffed, eyebrow raising at the remark of being an audience of one. "Mm… alright. I think I can manage that much," she teased, though a look in her eye suggested that such a request would be something he’d regret in the long run.
"Ahhh yeah you think so? I’ve always wanted a sibling, a twin would be great!" Fabian chimed, eyes shining just a bit at the thought. Whether there was actually any truth to that comment, the idea of long lost twins reuniting in a second life was just the kind of fantasy inspiring song he could dig. "That’d be a power ballad for the ages, you know? Everyone would love a song like that!" Already Fabian was trying to pinpoint what kind of tune it would have, only able to come back to the conversation as they began to discuss the matter of leaving pokemon to fend for themselves.
"Oh really? I guess that makes sense, you’re a good trainer Heather! You gotta teach me how you keep with’em!" He remarked with a grin. Because that was his primary problem; keeping focus. And unless your pokemon were losing horrifically, there was hardly a reason to keep an eye on them; at least that was his philosophy and boy, did he fail to even follow that little attention to detail.
"Yeah but still! It’s good to watch you out for them I suppose, at least that’s what Melody says. Gotta make sure they’re not taking on more than they can chew!" Something else Fabian wasn’t keen on paying attention too. Continuing over the bridge to the other side, he glanced back at Heather, noticing some of her pokemon battling others that promptly disappeared into thin air. He stared a moment, seeming to notice that this was certainly not at all correct but didn’t question it, instead returning his attention to their exploration.
"Alright! Now we’re talkin’!" Fabian mused quickly following after until they reached the pavilion. He took a gander around himself, hands on his hips as he gave a nod. "It is! You think it’s like… some historical piece or something?" He took a closer look at the intricate designs and the shimmering adornments that he was certain were gold but couldn’t quite tell before glancing around further. There were so many bridges, water ways and other little buildings and towers scattered all over the place. He wanted to explore them all! "How do you think they got all this water here? With water pokemon?"
Susie followed along, keeping an eye out and poking her beak into the grass here and there out of curiosity. She chirped at Cadenza and wiggled her wings, peeking her face into some grass again and giving a panicked chirp as she jumped back. The strange onion bulb pokemon she encountered gave an equally frightful jump before chucking an array of leaves in the two’s direction, Susuie quickly responding in her own panic to the flail of leaves with several blasts of fire. This seemed enough to send the onion thing flying, but Susie flopped onto her butt eyes watering as she swiped at the newly formed scratches she’d earned. That really hurt!
Melody frowned at the little battle that occurred, sighing, and pulling a potion from her bag before starting over towards the little Torchic. She did glance back at Lysander as he spoke, rather surprised by the comment. "Oh?" Well that certainly didn’t seem to be something she expected him to say. "Really? Well that’s good… it’s honestly a nice place," she returned a soft smile, kneeling down and scooping Susie over close to heal her up.
"I read that there’s a little ice cream shop around here too actually… I thought it’d be a nice secondary treat on top of the scenery," she tucked the bottle away and gave Susie a gentle pat on the head, a smirk on her face as she glanced back at Lysander, "assuming you think you deserve it, with the way you and Heather were beating yourselves up and all."

Lysander grew quiet a moment, taking into consideration the look Melody gave him, and reflecting on what it might mean for him. It certainly didn't seem like anything in his favor, buuuut... "I look forward to seeing you out there," he commented jovially. Whatever it was, he could probably handle it, and this was an end-result that depended on the hypothetical situation where Melody and Fabian would be traveling with them back to Kalos. As entertaining as it would be, it was still hypothetical. For now.
"Take it from me!" Heather, the spokeswoman of sibling relations and benefits, placed a hand onto her chest (needing to move Legato to the side to do so). "Having a sibling is great, most of the time! They're like... required to be your best friend." She stole a glance back at Lysander, who was still engaged in a conversation with Melody, before she looked back to Fabian. "Well, depending on your age difference, I guess. Lys is a little older, but we've always been close." So close, in fact, that she had managed to convince him to take this trip with her! Getting back to the true topic of their conversation, a song worthy enough to entertain even the gods, Heather nodded her head in firm agreement, "absolutely! It'd be at the top of the charts the minute it hit the air! And it'd remain number one for at least five months!" Were these lofty, and unrealistic, expectations for a song that didn't even have a name, let alone lyrics or music composition? Absolutely not!
The teen chuckled, both pleased and a tad, just a tad, embarrassed at Fabian's compliment. She played the latter off, however, by cupping her chin and humming with a sage nod. "So you wish to learn from the master?" Heather opened one eye to peer at Fabian, assessing him as any dojo, or Jedi, master would of a potential apprentice. With another laugh she dropped both the act, and her hand. "Well, sure! I could try and teach you. I don't know how helpful I'll be though," she cautioned. All she really did was pay attention to the battle, and try and coordinate her pokemon's attacks. Of course, there was more to battling than that, but... those were the basics.
Keeping with their conversation, the two were the first of their group to cross over the bridge, at least amongst the humans, and Heather hummed softly. "Mmm, yeah? Melody's a smart lady! You should always try and keep an eye on your pokemon. That way, you can step in and intervene before anything bad can happen." At least that was what one should do, in theory, but if the opposing pokemon was too strong, or your pokemon, say, flinched, there was little you could do about that. Once underneath the pavilion, Heather set Legato down, freeing him up to wander about and explore if he so wished. "Probably!" Tilting her head up to look at the roof's underside, she tried to spot some sort tell of history or... resign for its design, but finding none she simply resorted to assumption. "I don't know much about the city, but it looks pretty historic! So, it would make sense to make this tourist destination historic too!" There was also the chance that the gardens were just created for aesthetic reasons, and its architect was keeping with a certain theme. Heather cast a glance out to the water, contemplating Fabian's question. "...Probably! Or, maybe... the water was already here and they just built the bridges and buildings around it?"
Cadenza gave a startled cry, and gave a whirlwind of a two-step back, when Susie enacted the wrath of a grass root... bulb pokemon, but recovered from his surprise quickly enough to watch the battle that commenced. He murmured worriedly afterwards, and took one wobbly step forward to attempt to console his friend, but was stopped by an approaching Melody. He watched, one paw held to his face, as she was spritzed with a potion before being set down, and once the chick was on ground-level he re-approached her with a few pats of his own. She was okay now!
Lysander waited until after Melody had finished up with her Nurse Joy duties before he tried responding, approaching her and the other two pokemon with a neutral expression. "Heh." He chuckled lightly, one hand reaching behind to rub the back of his neck, before he looked out at the garden, and coincidentally away from Melody, to try and spot the stand she spoke of. "Yeah, that would be cool," he remarked, tiptoeing around the point she brought up. "Thanks, Melody, I appreciate it." Embarrassment fading away, he turned back to the blonde and gave her a smile. "Let me buy yours. As a thank you," he offered. His gratitude went beyond just her suggestion their destination, and took into account, really, their entire interaction since meeting back at the luau.

Melody smirked and chuckled under her breath, pleased that her look hadn't scared Lysander off. Of course, she would probably make good on the idea that he'd regret, but hopefully under circumstances that even he could laugh about and enjoy. Well, as far as anyone could enjoy anything is Fabian was around. "Good."
Fabian listened with full attentiveness as Heather went into detail on the glorious joys of having a sibling, eyes wide and shimmering like a small child in a candy store as he took in the details. "Woah... a required best friend? That's AWESOME." He mused over the thought. Oh sure, he'd already sort of imposed that BFF business on Melody and she seemed just find but a best friend who could never ever not be your best friend maybe? Now that was something he could get behind. "You think it's too late to convince my parents for a sibling? What do you advise, baby brother or sister?" That was really the important part of the question wasn't it? He grinned as Heather agreed it would be an epic ballad for the ages, though made a 'pfffffff' sound at her remark. "Only 5 months? I'm thinking a year in a half myself, let's be real here." Obviously, Fabian had higher unrealistic expectations for the song that didn't even have a tune to it. That was how the big wigs did it!
Fabian perked up at Heather's remark, grin growing even wider as he rocked on the heels of his shoes. "Oh yeah! You know it! That'd be awesome never been an apprentice before!" And he found nothing awkward about being one to someone considerably younger than him. Of course, with the way he acted, would anyone on the outside be able to tell? "I'm sure you'd be a great teacher Heather! You gotta give yourself more cred~" the older lad teased, gently giving the girl a gentle punch to the shoulder. "You show me a thing or two, yeah? Yeah?"
"Ehhhh they're tough though! I mean, pokemon don't need watching before you catch, why do they need it after?" Fabian folded his behind his head at this point as they made it over the bridge and into the new area. "Melody's smart yeah, but I think she's a little too overprotective." He shrugged and his attention for that part of the conversation dropped in favor of taking in the architecture. "Ooooo yeah! Yeah that makes a ton of sense!" His grin returned and he skipped forward to spin around the columns, ducking and weaving around the place as though some over excited archeologist. His face contorted into what might've been a thoughtful look at Heather's explanation, thinking hard before giving another 'pfff' and a shake of his head. "Naaahhhh I'm thinkin' they used a legendary for the water!" Because that was absolutely reasonable.
Susie's attitude went from sad to happy as Melody administered a healing spritz. She chirped and flapped her wings excitedly, dancing about in place in front of the young woman in thanks and even more so as Cadenza offered reassuring pats. She nuzzled the Spinda and chirped happily, chest puffing out a bit in an attempt to appear tough, though faltered a bit as she gave Cadenza bit of a questioning chirp on if he was alright. She felt a built guilty, sending him into a tizzy of fright like that!
Melody watched Lysander curiously, quietly taking in his body language and response to her comments. She could subconsciously tell he was tiptoeing around it but knew just a bit better to poke and prod him over it. It was endearing in a way, the fact that he didn't quite want to own up on the idea that the two were beating themselves up over nothing. She was a little surprised (and it showed) as he thanked her and offered to buy her ice cream. Now that one, she didn't quite see coming. "Hm...," Melody hummed, gently tapping a finger to her chin in though, studying Lysander as though suspecting some sort of trap. She dropped the look and her gentle smile returned, turning and starting to head for the little shop. "Well alright then. But I think I want the most expensive, biggest sundae they have to offer. You sure you want to foot the bill for that?"

"I KNOW RIGHT?!" Heather gushed, pleased as punch that Fabian recognized the joys of having a sibling. She herself couldn't stand the idea of being an only child, her stance reinforced by the few years she'd spent just living with her parents, and, more recently, just her mother after Lysander had moved out. "It's never too late -- not when adoption exists!" she assured. But, as for the gender of the sibling... "A brother! That way you two can relate to more things. Althooooough, you could try and convince your parents to get you both a brother and sister, that way you could have both!" It was the best of both worlds! And, even better, there weren't any foreseeable consequences! Heather gasped, one hand raising upwards to hover over her mouth, "of course! I don't know what I was thinking! A year and a half, definitely!" Man, it was a good thing Fabian was here. He was the only one keeping her grounded!
Heather giggled and leaned back against the railing, hands crossing carefully over her stomach. "I've never been a master before! So, we'll both get to experience something new!" Now, if this arrangement would be fruitful... that was something else entirely. But, she was glad that Fabian was so on board. "Aw, you're too kind!" She reached up to pat his back, an accompanying response to his playful shoulder punch. "Yeah! I know Lys mentioned finding pokemon here to battle, so we can start from there." Speaking of pokemon, and older brothers, Heather turned back to look for both as she and Fabian continued conversing.
She considered Fabian's words as she watched Lysander cross the bridge with Melody, Cadenza close by with Susie. "Mmm. Maybe it's because you're introducing them to a new events?" Heather eventually suggested, head swiveling back over to Fabian. "I mean, most pokemon only stay in one area their entire lives, and only see a handful of other pokemon that they'd have to battle. After you capture them, you take them all across different regions and have them battle pokemon they've probably never even seen! Plus, trained pokemon probably pick up new techniques and tactics! So, you gotta teach them that." Spouting off her idea, it almost sounded as if Heather knew what she was talking about, at least to herself, and that was exactly what a master did! So, maybe Fabian was right? She could do this! "Lysander's the same way!" Heather admitted, on the topic of over-protection. "Maybe it's just an older person thing? They do it because they mean well." Once underneath the pavilion, Heather, while tempted to follow Fabian about in his excited exploration, took it upon herself to spin around one of the columns, getting herself right proper dizzy in a wild spin. "Oh, that makes total sense!" She agreed, while the world still tilted violently around her. She teetered back and forth, performing a solid impression of Cadenza. "Who do you think they used Kyogre? Or... does Alola have its own legendary water pokemon?" She wasn't up-to-date on the tropical region's lore.
Cadenza warbled happily, pleased to find his friend back in top condition and to have received a nuzzle. Because hugs (or, at least, Susie's attempt at one) were always nice! He tipped his head to the left, feet following in an off-center attempt to return space between them, before nodding his head firmly! Yup! He was a-okay! In fact, if needed, he'd take on the next pokemon that came their way, so that Susie could get proper rest.
Embarrassment overcome, for now, Lysander relished in the fact that he'd managed to surprise Melody. Of course, he hadn't made his offer to erect some sort of emotional reaction out of her, but at the same time it was nice to see that it was possible to surprise the, usually, unruffled blonde. He waited for a response, just the slightest hint of a semi-smug grin on his face. "Pfff." He snorted, following after her. "You don't need to worry about that. My wallet's in good shape," he assured, but there was a moment of silence where he considered the scenario where he wouldn't have enough money to pay for Melody's ice cream. "...If not, I'm sure I can just battle the owner. I'm sure I could trade my win in for an ice cream of my choice." Because that was how a successful business was run.

The silly grin that had come to occupy Fabian's face didn't fade a bit over the notion of required best friendship and potentially convincing his parents to produce by some means, not one but two more off-spring so that he could take advantage of both the sibling types available or all the other silly ideas this kind of thing brought. Realistically, none of it was going to happen; his parents could barely handle having just him on their hands. It was amusing to think about though."Well I'll totally have to ask them!" It would go over so well!
He giggled himself as Heather agreed that the tune creatued would survive for at least a year and a half at the top of the charts before his head tilted curiously and she went into advise on what he could do to improve his trainer skills. Actually, it sounded a lot like something he'd heard on TV, and from a few professors, and that one class he took in Pokemon School and from Melody a couple of times. His expression drooped a bit in disappointment because boy, was this information drab. He didn't want to be a downer though and perked up with a smile and a nod. "Okay! Yeah sure!"
"Pfff, old people." Fabian teased jokingly, glancing over in the direction of the pair as well. What were they up too? Sure were talking a lot or something. In fact, had Melody gone and kidnapped Susie because she was stalking after them instead of him. As the conversation went to the water again, he paused and tapped his chin in though. "Maybe! Or maybe they used Lugia? It is the guardian of the sea and all," and that was about all he knew in regards to legendares. "I'm sure they do! It's a bunch of islands with water after all! It's practically a given!" Fabian took the opportunity to skip across some of the stones placed sparingly down the center of the water way, almost dropping in himself but successfully skipping his way back.
"I wonder if there's like some secret caves or treasure around this place...," He murmured, glancing over at Lysander and Melody, skipping over to Heather and gently nudging her with an elbow. "Hey! I think they're grabbing treats without us. Want to go bother them about it?"
Melody eyed Lysander as she made her demand, smirking just a tiny bit as he seemed to put on a bit of a smug response. Yes, she'd been taken by surprise certainly, but she would not refrain from any attempt to turn it back around on him. And it seemed to semi-work. She laughed at his response to battle the owner, strolling up and pausing just a foot away from the ice cream shop. "Well it's good to see you have it all planned out." She teased, turning her attention the menu board. Surprisingly enough, despite being a little place in the middle the garden, it had quite the selection. Melody mulled over the options, glancing down at a chirping Susie who seemed curious about the building before glancing at Lysander. "Hm... there's a lot of options. What would you suggest your wallet can handle?"

Heather tried holding back a laugh, surely Lysander wouldn't appreciate her laughing, and technically agreeing, over the statement that he was old. But he wasn't within earshot, and it was funny. "You know. We'll be old too, someday," she remarked, hoping to make up for her laughter. "Oooh." Heather nodded her head slowly, a picture now forming in her mind. "That's a definite possibility! I bet he'd fill a place like this up just like that!" She snapped her fingers, emphasizing just how quickly such a task could be completed, before looking out at the water with newfound wonder. "Maybe we should go look for one?" she eventually suggested, though her eyes remained glued to the scenery ahead of her.
"Probably! This seems the perfect place to hide a treasure chest or three." Heather turned her head to Fabian, eyebrow raised curiously, then turned her head to where he'd pointed at, Melody and Lysander, heading directly for an ice cream shop. "What?" A gasp accompanied her exclamation, before she nodded her head, a serious expression blanketed across her visage. "Absolutely! They can't just grab ice cream without us! That's rude."
Lysander nodded. "Of course I do," he stated, and gave Melody a, 'who do you think I am?' look. From the blonde to the shop's menu, he tapped his left thigh, where his wallet could be found. "Anything between a brownie sundae and a milkshake with the works," he eventually replied. The sudden eruption of electricity to his left informed of a battle brewing, and he turned his head in that direction just in time to watch a Masquerain, battered and bruised, hurriedly flutter away from Amp, whose chest was puffed out in pride.
"C'mere," he urged, pulling out a potion to spray the blue feline with. The redhead was quick to administer the medicine to his various wounds, as few as they were, and once done he tossed the empty bottle into the nearby trash. "Don't forget you're not the only one here," Lysander reminded, then gently nudged Amp away to go back to his... mock hunting, or at least that was what it looked like, with him hunkering down and sliding on his belly away from his trainer. He huffed, only to turn around at the sound of quickly approaching footsteps. "Hey!" Heather, her cheeks puffed out in faux agitation and joined by Fabian, crossed her arms in front of her chest as she looked expectantly at her brother. "What's the big idea? Getting ice cream without us."
Lysander shook his head, before reaching over to pinch Heather's cheek, forcing them to deflate, "I was going to get you something." He didn't know about Fabian, i.e. whether Melody was going to pay for him or he had his own money to buy something for himself, but he wasn't going to leave Heather without anything, if only because he knew what her reaction would be. "Go on and decide what you want," he encouraged, then watched as she slowly moved to look at the menu, though she turned back to her companion beforehand. "Are you going to get anything, Fabi?"

A faux horrified expression crossed Fabian's face as Heather suggested the terrifying truth; that they too would be old someday. "Hold thy tongue, my lady!" His grin appeared and he gave her a sly wink, "We'll find the fountain of youth and make it so we never age! What'ya say?" With all the crazy things out there, there had to be a fountain of youth! His eyes sparkled at the idea of discovering it; add that to his many lists of awesome accomplishments that he would hope to someday achieve.
Folding his arms behind his head, cheeky grin still present as the young woman agreed to his claim about how the water got there. "Well of course! You think we'd find one?" it was the only logical way to proceed in this regards. "Mmm you want too? I bet we could find something! We might have to sneak away though," because it was a damn fact that Melody would not let him wander off in search of so called 'treasure caves'.
Of course, attention was drawn to the dubious act of ice cream purchases while they weren’t around and that was not something that could be allowed!
Melody smirked a little at the look, hand covering her mouth in an attempt to hide it some. "Oh? Well it’s good to know a good ol’ strawberry milkshake wouldn’t break the bank for you." While she certainly had no doubt that a man of Lysander’s caliber could cover something as cheap as ice cream, but a lady just needed to be careful least the gentleman attempt to eat and run. Well that actually wasn’t at all the case here nor what she even believed, but poking just a bit of fun at him was just the natural way to keep things easy going.
That was interrupted of course by Amp, who looked rather pleased be dealing the damage to the local wildlife that attempted to challenge him. "Well, well looks like someone’s a tough little fighter, huh?" She mused, watching the interaction between Lysander and the feline. Her attention shifted at Heather and Fabian appeared, smiling a bit at the siblings. "Uh oh, busted Lys. Nice job," of course she didn’t get to say much more as Fabian was suddenly latched to her arm, eyes wide like a child. "Oh wow that’s awesome! You gonna get me something, Melody~?"
"No." The blonde retorted without an ounce of emotion, which led to a rather crestfallen look from the lad. "D’awww why not?""Because you’re a grown adult and can buy your own, that’s why," and with that she freed herself from his grasp, leaving a grown man with arms folded over his chest, pouting like some child. Melody glanced between Lysander and then Heather, giving the younger girl a reassuring smile. "I’m sure he will, but why don’t you two go first anyways? Maybe he’ll figure out what he wants once he sees how good it looks." The quicker it was clear Fabian would be getting no assistance (nor allowed any) the faster he would just get over it. Hopefully.

She held back from chortling -- because it wasn't that funny -- and slipped her tongue back into her mouth before nodding enthusiastically. "I say, we start now! I bet this place has a few clues -- it has all this water around," she suggested, a sage look in her eyes as she surveyed the wide expanse of watered landscape. If they found it now, would it be possible for them to mark it on a map and come back to it later? It wasn't that she didn't like the idea of being younger forever, she just wanted to make sure that she was older than sixteen.
The teenager pursed her lips, setting a serious expression onto Fabian. "No, I don't think we'd fine one," she answered, as serious as serious could be. "We'll find like... eight!" A smile broke her frown (or her attempt at one) and she waggled her finger playfully at the brunette. "Sneaky is my middle name, my good sir! We'll be able to sneak away without anyone being the wiser."
Apparently, Lysander was good at sneaking away too. Sneaking away to grab ice cream with Melody!
Lysander snorted, puffed out his chest, and put on his cockiest expression... only to immediately drop it, straighten himself out, and sigh; he couldn't even pull it off for the sentence. "I know, I'm a big baller," he confessed, humbly of course. He scratched his cheek, only feeling 10% embarrassment over his 'showy' actions, and eagerly turned his attention to Amp. "Yeah. I actually think he's my strongest pokemon," he muttered. And that was surprising, considering how... dumb the feline could act at times. It was good that his pokemon were taking the initiative for battle, and he found no reason to stop them; in fact, he'd reinforce it, and provide them with healing if they needed -- just like he did for Bass, when the Froakie finished his battle with a dark-colored Meowth.
Of course, he'd have to find time between appeasing Heather to concentrate on his team. Lysander snorted at Melody's insistence that he'd been busted, then snorted a second time, louder, when Fabian clamped down onto the blonde's arm. He turned back to Heather, leaving Melody's rejection of Fabian's request without a captive audience. "You decide on what you want yet?" he inquired of his sister, after she'd been urged to pick ahead of the, now pouting, Fabian. "Mm, I think I'll go with the strawberry sundae," Heather reported, after some deliberation. Lysander made a face, one that would indicate that her choice was unpleasantly expensive, but dropped it when Heather elbowed him. "I'm joking, it's fine."
A strawberry sundae, strawberry milkshake, and for himself.. a vanilla cone; because there was nothing wrong with sticking with the basics. He was quick to order all three, and began handing them out as they came. "Here." Cone in hand, he gave Melody her milkshake before handing Heather hers.

"Pfffffff," Fabian nearly lost his cool as Heather took his comment to the literal level. He composed himself to give her a double pistol point and a wink of approval. "Nailed it." His hands dropped back to his sides and a thoughtful look crossed his face as he considered their options, looking to Heather in surprise and bursting into his own grin as she commented that she was a true master of the sneak. He slapped his hands together and began to rub them together as their clearly maniacal plot began to come to fruition.
"Perfect! I love it! Heather you ever consider being a manager? Or a mastermind super villain? I really think you’ve got the potential for both!" He teased with another wink. Of course, attention immediately shifted the the exchange between their colleagues (or rather, his colleague, Heather’s brother) and their savage attempt to leave them out of the sweet treats deal.
Melody eyed Lysander and his attempt at false macho-bravado, expression that of someone who was clearly faking that they were impressed when they weren’t. Honestly, had it been anyone else she would’ve rolled her eyes and walked away. Luckily, she knew it was simply a joke and even cracked a smile at the slight embarrassment that followed with his humble remark. "Oh absolutely, I would never doubt it with that show," she teased lightly, swiping a stray strand of blonde hair away from her view. Arms folded over her chest, she eyed Amp thoughtfully. "Oh really? Have you had him long then?" She inquired. After all, it was usually either your starter or a pokemon that you’d had for a while that ended up your strongest. At least, from the few bits of experience she had that was the case.
Melody smiled as Lysander retrieved Heather’s selection, ignoring Fabian who at this point, had taken to try and whimper his way to self-pity. How old was he again? "Excellent choice Heather. Can’t go wrong with anything with strawberries," She gave the younger girl a wink of approval before turning her attention the newly arrived treats; taking her shake with a grateful nod. "Thank you Lys. I owe you one, " Melody remarked taking a sip of the shake and looking rather satisfied with her choice.
Fabian, of course, didn’t miss what all had been transpired. Oof, it hurt to be this fourth wheel so flippantly ignored. He eyed everything as it played out and as opposed to resorting to vicious whining as he often did, he instead appeared to buck up and accept it. He strolled on forward towards the window for the little shop, pausing only like a inch or so just beside Lysander. While he looked like he was perusing the selections, he whispered just loud enough under his breath for the other male to hear. "You know for an ice cream cone, I can totally help you get that netflix and chill going with Melody my man." It was made to be the most casual sort of comment ever and he only gave Lysander the briefest of side glances before returning to looking like he was just looking at the boards.
