Turning the egg between his hands, Adder finally held it still, and got a firm grip on other end. then, he twisted, turned, pulled and squished, testing it, before finally the two parts broke in half. He blinked as small sea shells fell to the ground. Wha... Crap! He quickly tossed the egg pieces aside and moved to pick up the shells, counting them as he did. So those were what they were talking about. The shells were actually in the eggs! That... actually made a lot more sense. And it was kind of clever. They were basically giving the trainers the rewards as they got them.

Though, it kind of made him wonder how they made sure people weren't cheating or anything. After all, they could just go around, popping open the eggs, getting the shells, and doing that with all the eggs in one location. Maybe they didn't expect people to find out about the shells in them? It wasn't that hard, though, even if it had taken Adder the majority of the search to do it. Perhaps you needed the eggs, themselves, which where marked with the location or something? Hmm... The thought made him quickly look down. He should probably keep the shells in the eggs for now, anyway, just in case....

He blinked and looked over as he heard Charmander cry out in victory, finding an egg. His eyes lit up. That was.... that was 49, wasn't it!? Just one more. Grinning, he strode over, giving Charmander a very happy pet on the head, before taking the egg. He got everyone else together, suddenly fired up. He'd call Drey at the next place, but he was going to help search, too. He was almost done. He couldn't wait....

Takumi had started drooling a little in anticipation. He wiped his mouth absently, though there wasn't much there but a faint dampness. His lips were dry and chapped- he was severely dehydrated, having been on his own for a day with no one there to tell him how to take care of himself. That would all change soon though. Takumi had brought plenty of money with him when he fled home- the money was the one thing he considered his family good for at this point. He marched up to the counter and ordered a room.
"Sorry, we're booked."
"Booked?" Takumi stared.
"I mean we're full. There are no rooms available; most people book their rooms over a year in advance." The woman behind the desk smiled, not sure what to make of this trainer who was clearly on a pokemon journey yet wanted to stay at a hotel families flew from around the world to visit.

Takumi stalked the lobby for hours, every once in a while going up to the counter to try a new idea. "What if I paid double?""I'm sorry, that wouldn't be fair to the current guests.""What if I found someone who would give me their room?""Please don't harass our guests." At one point he was so desperate that he even used his family name, trying to get recognition and then desperately asking if his family had happened to make a reservation he could use.
It was well into the late afternoon when he overheard a conversation of a man on the phone nearby. The man had around his shoulders the towels given out by the hotel, and Takumi knew he had spotted a customer. With a quick glance to the front desk, he snuck over to give some "advice". Yes, the man should go home to see his family, your son will only turn two once you know, the merger will go fine you already did your job, and isn't family the most important thing? Why, if I could just see my father again... And snap. Like magic, the man was thanking Takumi and hurrying off to gather his things and take the next flight home. And all for family. Blech.

Takumi didn't even have to approach the counter- a member of the staff was sent forward to let him know a room had suddenly become available and, if he wished, he could be in there that very night, so long as he did not mind waiting for it to be cleaned. Takumi graciously accepted, and the hotel was very happy to have no gap in payment for the room. Takumi, for his part, looked genuinely surprised and delighted that he had gotten a room. This was not all acting, for he had indeed begun to dread the thought of not getting to stay. The grandiose decor that had begun to chafe during the day now gave him a smug satisfaction because he belonged. Takumi spent the evening on the shore, pulling up an extra beach chair and piling it with towels for Nala and Tzut. Merlin perched nearby, and the puppy Micah, for some reason, decided to shovel his face into the sand and curl up under a great pup-made dune for a nap. Once their room was ready, Takumi retreated with Tzut on his shoulder. He slid into the luxurious sheets and released Nala to his side, feeling properly safe and taken care of for the first time in weeks. He slept deeply, with Tzut perched on the bed's headboard and watching over him.

Ajicka dropped from further above, given the ground this time was sand. Jas, on the other hand, rapidly swept back up, not landing, and instead looking anxiously down. She quirked an eyebrow up at him. "It's not water, Jas," she pointed out. Even if it was, she was pretty sure he could burn up most of the ocean before it managed to put out his flame, at this point. He grumbled, but lowered himself, kicking up one hell of a sandstorm in his wake. She threw a hand up, then lowered it to look at him, catching onto the sheepish expression on his face. So that was why he'd been hesitant....
She turned, waiting for Zero and crossing her arms, just releasing Houndoom this time, and letting Eelektross rest up. "You said finding an egg here was hard?" she asked, trying to sound sincerely questioning, instead of harsh and skeptical like she.... pretty much always did.

Ashen kept pace with Jas as they flew to the next location, moving to reach the resort through the night sky. With far less reservations about landing on the beach, the pale Charizard brought his trainer down as soon as they arrived. Zero was able to hop off right as the brunette's pokemon was whipping up the sands around them, and he approached as she let out her pokemon again in order to search. "Well, something along those lines. I found my egg mostly buried in the sands, and from what I saw, everyone that did find one either grabbed it from between the rocks or by manually digging it up. It can be hard to tell what's an egg and what's just a colorful seashell until you dig it up. You might very well have better luck than I did, though." It wasn't hard to catch the... Struggling politeness of her words, everything tinted with a small, almost nonexistent pause. Perhaps it was just his imagination, but to him, it almost sounded as if she actively considered and filtered her words before she spoke.

Humming, Ajicka looked down at the sand. She didn't really have any pokemon that could swiftly dig through it all, other than maybe Fall, but she didn't want to risk losing her in the sand. She turned to look towards the buildings and concrete. "The whole place is fair game, though, isn't it?" she pointed out, moving away from the water, and towards the buildings. It might be easier to find something on actual dry land, so to speak. And if that didn't work, she already had a back up plan forming, based off what Zero had told her.
