Lyndis de Ferdoarn
"It shall be engraved upon thine soul!"

╒═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╕

Lyndis listened with a judgemental glare in her eyes as Riyak explained what a lycanoid was. She felt disdain to hear he was of elven decent as she herself was of chimerian decent and the two races weren’t really fond of each other. Hearing he was roughly 10 years old surprised Lyndis. She didn’t truly believed it but there was no way to prove it wasn’t true. Riyak continued explaining how a lycanoid was made and gave the weaknesses of it. "hmmm. So gold can cause a controlled awakening and silver weakens it… that’s interesting" she thought and calmly placed her hand on the handle of her halberd. At the moment she didn’t had a reason to attack but as Riyak was talking so much she had a feeling something wasn’t right. Riyak went on how nice it was to talk about this and that due to the fight they had something bad has happened. When he flared up his power Lyndis grabbed her halberd off her back and went into a defensive stance out of instinct. She started to channel electricity through the blade of her weapon. Riyak tried to calm her down saying he was only unleashing his power to show the binds on it, give some explanation of it and told that one of them broke and that he had regained some of his former power. This did not fully reassured Lyndis as she kept in her combat position. But she was not intending to attack. She just was cautious of the situation. When he dispelled his power Lyndis initially didn’t lower her weapon yet. She wasn’t aware that Riyak had blown out of his restraints just then. She only noticed it when he put up his hands trying to show he wasn’t a threat. Lyndis narrowed her eyes. Should she trust him or not on this point?
Riyak then asked a favour of her. To keep an eye out on him for when his demon side would come out she could subdue him at that point. She started contemplating. Could she do that? Her job is to protect all the realm from evil beings and he had one major one in him. If what he said was true than of the being would come out at 100% it might mean the end of the world. So better to eliminate him now when he is weak than when it is too late. But then the demon had been sealed once. Maybe she could do it again. But that required a lot of skill in it and at this point she is not powerful nor skilled enough as a Valkyrie to do such advance ritual. "What to do?"

She was broken from her thought by the words of the tattooed woman. At was then that Lyndis realised she still was standing in combat position. She swung once in the general direction of the woman not aiming to hit her and then placed her halberd back on her back. She let out a deep sigh and turned back toward Riyak. "I can’t guarantee death will not befall thou by my hand… My primary objective is to protect the balance. So if the demon prove to be more resisting than is good then I might be forced to take thine life" She said to Riyak closing her eyes. She wasn’t going to lie to him about the situation he will most likely will come in. if the demon was as powerful as he claims it to be than at some point Lyndis might be forced to use all her strength. And at that point the chance of her killing Riyak in the process of stopping the demon is quite likely. "but I will try to prevent such a fate to happen if I’m able" She opened her eyes and with looked at Riyak totally ignoring the tattooed lady’s words.

The sound of the tournament announcement echoed through the air announcing the next battle. Lyndis let out a sigh and chuckled. "it seems the gods require to prove my worth now" she said equipping her weapon in her hands once again. "but before I go…" She walked over to Riyak and pushed a small silver cross that was on her jacket not long ago into his hands and told him "keep that with thou and I will keep watch" before spreading her wings and flying up in the sky towards the field of battle of this round of the tournament.

-Krosis Amalur-
The hustle and bustle of the Arena was immense, the fights that took place in the coliseum were practically the lifeblood of the town, and so this place was the beating heart of the skaglands. And yet in a this sea of activity there was a quiet corner in which set a single figure; Long black hair spilling forth from a a simple hood, a few exotic feathers set in the clasp and dark leathers hugging a fit form, a blade in his lap and a stone in his hand as he rhythmically drags it's across the edge ever sharpening it. Icy blue eyes would glance upward as if sensing a gaze, and the shadows that once hid the face lift along with his head to reveal the porcelain skin of the Elfin Race, smooth, strong features. This was Korsis Amalur, a well of calm in a sea of chaos. However there was something to attend to, a match.

Standing the shadowy shape of Krosis would step towards the Arena...

All residents of the City of Twelve [Business District] have been evacuated and all buildings locked/warded from entry. Most of the sandstone buildings in this district are only one story tall, sans the inns which are generally only 2-3 stories high. In the middle of the district stands the Town Square, where 11 statues stand in a wide circle around a large fountain, all to increase town appeal in order to bring more business to the City of Twelve. (It being located in the Skaglands, after all.) Sparse shrubbery and trees were scattered about. In front of buildings and along walkways and along the few canals the city had as well. The City of Twelve needing the canals for irrigation, but this far inland it was hard to receive many, but there was a body of water just outside of the Residential District in the Commoner's District. The sun was high over the city, providing minimal shadows and plenty of discomfort. It wasn't cool in the city this time of year. At the moment the competitors were just being notified of their participation in the second round of the tournament, a Runic Screen appeared in front of the group. (And simultaneously around the seats in the Coliseum and nearby areas.)

A flourishing voice came first. "And thus commences the second round of the Coliseum Tournament!" the Magi spoke before spinning into view with a grand entrance. He seemed all pomp and circumstance. A white mask and jester's garb marked him an interesting individual. "Ironic the second round take place outside of the city, but construction has been done all across the city! See for yourselves!" he announced as the city swung into view on the screens, a ring of fire surrounding the entirety of the Residential District along a set track obviously meant for this purpose. The wall of flames reached high into the sky and seemed to scorch your eyes just to look at them. Spikes rose out of the ground on every other street and on a several lower roof tops. "Each competitor will be given the choice between a bow/crossbow or a sling/slingshot and each will be equipped with Runic Pellets. A player that gets hit by one of these Runic Pellets will be immediately rejected from the area." All of this was said with quite a magical demonstration from the thin speaker, in contrast the announcer for the first round. "Oh! And did I forget to mention the . . . er . . . other obstacles?" Again the screen's view swung from his face and to other parts of the city. Reptilian creatures that seemed far too nimble for their own good crawling up and out of the canals and onto roofs. They seemed to blend into the surroundings, the sound of their razor sharp fangs snapping being the only indicator as to where they were, the creatures having a voracious appetite and nasty disposition. The Lacefang weren't the only creatures shown on the screen. A wave of black seemed to come over the firewall, a flock of Corvsbeak swooped down upon the city, seemingly blending and unblending from each other at whim. The birds had an uncanny affinity for shadows and could combine their size when they actually decided to work together. They often preferred to work alone or in small groups and enjoyed wreaking havoc more than anything else with their large and spiky beaks and their feathers that seemed to fade into darkness when in the shade. "Have fun and let the games begin!"
And with that, so began the second round of the Coliseum Tournament!

Riyak Silver
User Image

Riyak was a little relieved that Lyndis didn't just smite him down on the spot, that would have been a disappointment to say the least, for him to open up only to be killed, though he did take note that she was definitely on edge now. After she listened to him she told him that she couldn't promise that she wouldn't kill him if his demon proved to be more harm than good than she would be forced to take his life, Riyak found that acceptable, it was what he wanted though what she said next caught him a little off guard as she said that if she could prevent such a fate she would try. Riyak smiled it was more than he could ask for. Yet as he was about to say something Roxi stepped in and asked what was going on, this was also something Riyak failed to predict, yet before he could answer Lydis handed him a silver cross and told him to keep it with him. This all cause Riyak to blush slightly, he did not expect any form of response like this. Riyak examined the cross for a minute as Lyndis flew off, he wondered if he should perhaps wish her good luck, but as she flew off he felt that it would be inappropriate, plus there was still Roxi who wanted answers.

Riyak placed the cross in his pocket, he'd make something out of it later, most likely some form of necklace, though right now he figured Roxi deserved some answers. "So then, how much did you over hear? cause some of that stuff was kinda, well important" Riyak said before letting out a small sigh "I guess I should explain myself, perhaps letting you know a little would be a good thing, I guess for starters..." Riyak dropped off his speech before it even started as he felt his heart pounding. No, again? so soon? how is this possible? Riyak felt it, his power was increasing again, another chain was ready to break, while when that first chain broke he stayed normal, however that was right after his fight, he had more energy now. Riyak stumbled falling onto the side of the building, clutching his chest as he felt the second chain breaking. "Roxi... there's no time to explain, get me out of this city quickly, we need to go!" Riyak's eyes flickered blood red for a moment, even while his free hand grasped the cross Lyndis just gave him. As his eyes flickered red a solitary chain appeared, the second chain that was breaking, it was wrapped around his neck and several links in the chain were developing cracks, it was clear it was going to give way any moment "Roxi, just ignore this chain, we need to get out of here!"

Narx
"Revenge is a confession of pain"
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Narx entered the elaborate arena that was set up in the city center just for them. This was a new kind of event he thought to himself as he brushed his hands through his hair. It was a hot day in the middle of the city. Never had The City of Twelve turned their own city into a battlefield before. This would make a most entertaining fight. The twist with the pellets was the most interesting. Narx lifted the bag of pellets and inspected them. Small objects with substantial enough weight as to be thrown long distances. He placed the bag back around his belt and secured it. Switching his attention to his other item. Narx had also chosen the crossbow. Crossbows were generally inferior to to bows in his opinion, but he lacked strength, and that is where a crossbow would help him most. Even if his enemy had armor the crossbow at pointblank would surely pierce it. Unless it was enchanted. Then Narx would be in a world of trouble. Narx walked over to his corner of the arena and listened to the tournament master give his rant. Afterwards he immediately found an alley way to hide himself away in. He didn't want to conceal himself in the shadows as that would certainly attract the Corvsbeaks. He also could not enter the the canals, nor hop on any roofs due to the Lacefangs. This was the most obviously place to be. Of course Narx knew that his enemies would also be aware of this as well. They would either run to meet him here, or avoid this place altogether. On top of the two given items he had brought with him his slave chains, and two special runic baubles created just for this event. The one item he missed most dearly was his cane. He tried to get in with it, but the item judges decided his chains were too useful to not count as an item. He was lucky they didn't ask him to take his mask off. "Well this looks like a good a place as any." Narx said as he stumbled upon a small corner with a wagon of hay tucked neatly away inside it. Narx hopped inside the hay pile and then he was gone. The pile was ruffled a bit, but then eventually lay motionless. Yes. Narx was hiding.

-Krosis Amalur-
Icy blue eyes would stare blankly at the Magi seeming in a daze as he spoke staring at the mask stupidly Krosis's head slowly turning to the side like he was trying to figure out what he was looking at. "What a queer fellow..." He would think to himself as the image faded. There were three points to consider at this point and the first was in his hands, stones and a sling, while the crossbow had power and range, it was loud and took time to reload properly. The sling was much better suited to movement through the alleys and since he didn't have to make a lethal attack that made it easier, of course that meant it was easier for others as well. Second were the Lacefang and Corvsbeak, however to be honest Krosis had dwelled in the wilds of this world for over a century, in terms of the greater food chain the current display was... lackluster, of course it wasn't to be neglected either. Finally there were the opponents, he didn't know who they were or what they were capable of, he had the feeling that there was going to be a real motley crew here.

Moving from his starting area there wouldn't be much initial resistance after all the 'obstacles' wouldn't be found right out of the gate, and so Krosis moved forward his steps giving no noise as he seemed to fade into the shadows of an alleyway.

Vivian entered the arena in her small state. All she had was her staff because let's be honest-she had no clue how to use anything else. Vivian kept low to the ground. She would rather not be seen at the moment. Flying past a wagon full of hay she observed the arena. She knew teaming up was allowed but..maybe she should stick to herself. Vivian sighed, and flew a but higher to get every angle of this arena, finding good spots to hide and use against the other's. She knew this was going to be a difficult battle, but she also was ready to fight and win. Vivian quickly flew back down and hid under the wagon full of hay, will debating to herself where she shoulf go next.

Lyndis de Ferdoarn
"It shall be engraved upon thine soul!"

╒═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╕

Lyndis arrived on the area in the centre of the city of the twelve where the next round of the tournament will take place. As she touched ground the screen of the announcer popped up to announce the 2nd round of the tournament. Lyndis stared at the magi’s face on the screen with cold eyes. She was already into battle mode with her mind. In her hand was the bow provided and on her back hung the quiver with the pellet tipped arrows that accompanied the bow. "tsk. A game of first blood… such dishonourable battle style. What’s amiss with an old fashion all-out free for all last one standing fight?" she said in herself hearing the function of the pellet ammunition. It was a disappointment for her. She had thought she would be put in an arena where she was to fight someone and beat the person to a bloody pulp. But alas, it was not. These savages still seemed to amaze her. The weird masked guy wasn’t done with his announcement as he now introduced the “obstacles” they were to face. An interested smirk crept on Lyndis’s face seeing the lacefang and corvsbeaks enter the area. "so… they still manage to make this interesting after all". This might become a worthwhile fight after all. The prospect of vicious beast chasing them while they still fought each other hoping to get that first hit in on their opponent. They didn’t made it easy for any of the contestants, and that’s the way it should be.

The announcer said his adieu and the holographic screen he was on vanished and with that the fight began. Lyndis threw a quick look at her opponents and grit her teeth noticing the elven swordsman (Krosis). "Naorian scum. Pray the beast may feast on thine flesh before thine met my judgement!" She also noticed the other male (Narx) although it was hard to get a read on him due to that mask he was wearing. Mask usually were worn to hide oneself from others. So what did this guy had to hide to done such mask even in combat. To the last contestant, the fairy, she didn’t took any heed. Was it because she was so small, or was it that Lyndis didn’t seem to consider her much of a threat in this battle? Whatever it was there was no time to wonder. The battle had already started and people were going to their positions. While the men ran to hide among the shades of the houses around the central square (like the Naorian cowards they were) Lyndis spread her wings and flew up to land on the head of one of the statues that circled around the fountain. It was a statue of a middle-aged man, appears to be in his late 30’s early 40’s. His hair was pulled back into a ponytail. He had a stern look in his stone eyes looking out with a sense of determination. The man worn light armour with a cape. He had a long sword stand next to him and was resting his left hand on the pommel of it. This was definitely the statue of a great warrior. Lyndis closed her eyes and concentrated on the world around her. She could hear the sound of the creatures around her. The snapping of the lacefangs crawling over the street towards the fountain, the flapping of the corvbeaks wings, and the cackling sounds they made. Lyndis mover her hand to her thigh and took the chain of her soul crystal in her hand she raised her hand with the chain and the crystal up and clasped her hands together in front of her face. "oh great lord above I pray in thine name. Grant me the strength to defeat those who defy thine name. They who fate placed to oppose me in this fight. Let I in thine light fight till mine last breath" she prayed while she stood there.

The creatures seemed to have notice her as she was the only one who didn’t went to find a hiding place. And why would she? These creatures were nothing but minor obstacles in her path. And besides. One become the strongest by facing the obstacles thrown your way than avoiding them. In the meantime a few of the corvbeaks were circling above Lyndis biding their time to strike and a couple of the lacefangs have scuttled their way to the statues and starting to scale the one she was on. When the lizard creatures nearly reached her Lyndis opened her wings and shot up into the sky. She pulled one of the arrows provided to her from the quiver and nocked it onto the bow. "here we go" she whispered as she came to a stop in the air above the statue she just stood on. A lacefang now sat there where Lyndis stood a few seconds ago looking up at the angel. Lyndis aimed the bow straight up to the sky and started to say something in her angelic Torstarian language. "lord, hear my prayer, and grant my desire. Bestow thine power in this arrow so it may cleanse these wicked beings in thine righteous fire" Lyndis started to channel magical energy into the pellet tip of the arrow. It already contained the magic to evict a player hit with it so it can also function as a catalyst point for her magic. A faint red glow started to emit from the tip and Lyndis lowered the bow to now point towards the statue. "now let fire of the heaven rain down on the wicked!" Lyndis released the string of the bow firing the arrow down towards the statue leaving a faint trail of red embers behind as it flies.

The lacefang that sat on top of the statue could easily move out of the way of the arrow. But Lyndis didn’t had intend to hit the lizard. No, she wanted to hit the statue itself, what she did. As the arrow hit the lime stone of the warrior’s statue a mild shockwave passed through it. Suddenly small red glowing cracks started to break into the stone. The cracks quickly grew bigger and numerous. The lacefangs on the statue realised what was going to happen too late. The cracks started to spew fire and seconds later even emitted small explosions that chained to one bigger explosion that made the statue crumble down trapping some of the lace fangs beneath the burning debris. Loud hissing screeches of the trapped lizards as could be heard as they were put to their fiery grave.
Lydis lowered a bit to hang just above the smouldering remains of the stone warrior. Her eyes were wide with narrow pupils like a hawk, and with a content smile on her lips as she looked upon the damage she had done. She then looked around to see that the corvbeaks that were circling around her had fled to the shadows startled by the sudden explosions. The lacefangs that were lucky enough to escape the blast also retreated for now. But once the flames died down they will be back and they will know the error of that action.

Lyndis huffed and got her bow ready. She looked if she could see any of the other contestants but they were hidden and the shimmering air of the flames distorted her vision a bit. But she better be careful. Cowards tend to attack when one is not prepared. As for the moment it seems to be safe. Lyndis took a few deep breaths before speaking up with a loud voice so everyone could hear it. "I AM LYNDIS DE FEDOARN! CHOSEN VALKYRIE OF THE GODS!" she started to lift up in the air again, slowly. "THIS WAS BUT A WARNING! GIVE UP OR SUFFER AN FATE A TENFOLD WORSE THAN THESE LIZARDS DID! THERE IS NO SECOND WARNING!” Lyndis quickly grabbed another arrow from the quiver and nocked it onto the bow "I SHALL TREAT ANY CREATURE! MAN OR BEAST EQUALY IN THE EYES OF MINE GODS! AND IN THEIR NAME I SHALL SMITE ANY WHO RAISES WEAPON OR CLAW TO ME!" she pulled back the string and aimed around. Waiting till a new target would come into view. She is planning to fight at full force, no holding back for a second, especially not against the naorian scum. All she had to do was hit them with 1 arrow and they're out. Then let that arrow be one they will remember in pain!

Narx
"Revenge is a confession of pain"
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Narx, hidden in his hay stack on top of a wagon, was content to remain where we was. It was warm and pleasant in there after all. No opponents, no monsters. Just peace. On top of that he actually could see through a window the center of the courtyard. Though it was blurry. First he saw Krosis likewise take to an alley. Smart man. Fortunately it was a different alley way. Then Narx saw Lyndis through the window. She was a warrior and so she obviously felt better suited to take the front stage. Narx admired her. Such bravery, or was it stupidity in this case? It only took one pellet to take someone out. Though the courtyard was large and so she would be ale to see anyone within shooting distance. She must be agile then to take such a position, not just strong. Lyndis then destroyed the statue and enchanted another arrow. She might be able to kill someone with that thing. Narx did not think of using lethal force with the pellets, but he realized just as Lyndis was doing, that he would indeed need to fight as if this was life or death. After that the strangest thing happened. Vivian the fae, sneaking about, happened to walk into the very same alley as Narx, and hide underneath his wagon! HIS WAGON! This was an atrocious crime. He had claimed this pitiful wagon full of hay for his own. Narx quietly shifted his position and peered at Vivian through a crack in the wagon. She was so tiny. Fae always amazed Narx. Vivian was always changing her size to. That was a pretty cool skill to have. Useful for hiding. When she was so tiny Narx could not help but think she was like a baby. Nevertheless she would be a dead baby soon, as no one gets near Narx's wagon. Narx pulled out his pellet and was just about to lightly drop it on Vivian's head through the crack. It would be a hilarious victory, but just then a Lacefang seeking refuge from the hot sun crawled into the hay stack. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Narx gave out a blood curdling scream and jumped out of the hay stack. Narx crawled up the side of the building, ran across the house, jumped to another house and then tripped and fell into another alley. Of course there was a Lacefang in that alley as well. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" Narx ran out of the alleys altogether. It was the middle of the day, and the sun was driving the cold blooded creatures into the alleys to cool off. Well, at least he was out of the alley. Narx straightened himself and brushed off some dust on his robe. Just then he looked up with a blank look on his face. He just realized he was in the courtyard. Standing directly in front of Lyndis, and her drawn bow. "... Crud-lobster..." Narx said under his breath.

-Krosis Amalur-
I contemplated for a hundred years a single blade of grass...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Krosis continued walking able to ignore the hostility of a very specific contestant by virtue of having started the competition in a different place as the other contestants, after all it wouldn't be much of a match if everyone started in the same place, the additional monsters wouldn't really even come into play if that were the case, the action would end by the time they arrived.

Speaking of arriving Krosis was in no hurry to get to the chaos of the square and was simply walking through the alleys, he wasn't hiding, he wasn't fleeing, he wasn't scheming or plotting. Indeed he walked almost like this were nothing more than a pleasant day for a jaunt about town, though appearances were deceiving Krosis's senses were sharp, a relaxed hand on the hilt of his blade would casually grip the promel between two knuckles and yank lightly the blade sliding upwards out of it's sheath gracefully where the other hand would reach around and grip it, and then in a flash of golden energy Krosis's speed would seem to massively accelerate as he bent backwards a hand impacting the ground into a handstand as he swung the blade in a horizontal arc and pushed off with his hand.

The brief flicker of golden energy was gone as quickly as it arrived, and in his wake a lacefang would silently gurgle it's blood onto the stones of the back alley. perhaps he should up the pace, after all blood would only pull the beasts curiosity.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

...I made it my entire world, my only adversary. Then, I cut it down."

Vivian quickly flew from underneath the wheelbarrow as the lacefang lunges out at her. Sighing she went to her full form ans dodged its attack. Vivian then hit it with the end of her staff, knocking it back into the hay. Pointing her staff at the hay, it set fire. The screeches of the creature was loud as black smoke filled the air. Vivian knew it would attract attention so she flew off. Landing behind a building she sighed. She already saw Narx but not the other two. Vivian still wasn't sure about the other two contestants Vivian gently began to fly forward. The sky was slowly filling with black smoke.

Lyndis de Ferdoarn
"It shall be engraved upon thine soul!"

╒═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╡╞═╪═╕

The fires below Lyndis had died down quite a bit so all of it that remained were smoke and the glowing embers of the lacefang corpses among the rubble of the destroyed statue. She still had her bow drawn and ready to fire at the first sight of one of the other contestants. She tried as best as she could to keep the smoke out of her face using her wings what did made aiming somewhat more difficult. And the fact that those burned lizard carcasses didn’t produce the sweetest of scents didn’t help either. On that point she might not have thought her previous action fully through. But no use crying over spilled milk. She just have to take this for granted. And also. The smoke will most likely keep those pesky corvbeaks away from her for now, well she thought they would, she knew it would work on insects though. Silently chanting Lyndis enchanted the tip of the arrow with fire magic again. Now just a target. Please let one pop up quick. She didn’t know how long she could stand the foul smell. Luckily her prayers have been heard. The masked opponent emerged from one of the alleys and climbed onto one of the roofs. Lyndis took aim and followed him as he ran over the roofs fleeing from some of the lacefangs. She was waiting till she could get a lock on, what was quite hard as he was outside her firing range and moving, next to that she was still annoyed by the smoke and the scent what causes her concentration to waver a bit. Until he stops moving or gets onto the plaza and in firing range she couldn’t even hope to hit him properly.
She sighed when she saw Narx trip a fall into an alley. She might have hoped he would turn out to be a more worthy opponent as the level of the other two contestants she saw was up for doubt. A bloody Naorian scum of a warrior and an insignificant little pixy. Little did she knew Narx was also one of those Naorian scum but due to the mask he was wearing an him technically not being an elf she hasn’t figured that out yet. Or else she would have really no hope (or mercy for that part) for any of the opponents. But it is what it is now. Let’s get this over with quickly.

Narx’s scream revealed he was coming towards the plaza. This was her chance to take down her first of the three opponents. And there he was. The masked slave emerged from the shadows of the alley to stop right in the middle of Lyndis’s vision "it’s over!" she exclaimed and pulled the string of the bow far back. "my lord above hear my prayer, grant my desire to smite those who oppose. Let them face thine fury in pain" it was kind of sad. The masked slave had entered the battlefield with hope. Now at the brink of being annihilated defeated all he could say he did was run. Lyndis actually should have pity on him. Such weakness had no place on the battlefield. If he was just there by an unfortunate circumstance she might have shown mercy. But that was not the case. He choose to fight and be put against her, he had been warned what could happen yet he decided to ignore. Hold arms to a warrior of god is bearing arms to god herself, even if he is weak no mercy will be shown for such violation.
"Now… perish" she whispered and let loose the string firing the enchanted arrow towards Narx who finally has realised what position he was in. The arrow was infused with the element of fire so that at impact it will erupt in a wide fume of flames. But there was no need to use such extensive force as the goal of the battle was to just hit the opponent with a pellet and their out? Yes, but that was not enough for Lyndis. They must feel their defeat, they must know their defeat. Best way is with a pain they will never forget. With this arrow, when it hits something it will light everything around the impact zone on fire. When it will hit the opponent instead of just a sting and be teleported out he will be put ablaze. Even if he gets teleported out near instantly he will still suffer burns from it. And if it missed for some reason it still has the potential to set her target on fire what probably would end in pain far worse than just being hit by the arrow.

After the shot Lyndis quickly tried to pull out another arrow for a follow up shot. This one will not be enchanted as its only purpose was to put Narx out of his misery would he dodge the first arrow. But before she could reach her quiver she heard multiple squawking sounds. Lyndis was just able to move backwards to evade an incoming corvbeak. Appears the smoke didn’t stop them after all. "tsk. Cursed birds" she let out holding her bow like it was a sword out of instinct. More of the monster birds came and tried to assault her. She started dodging the birds as they tried to crash into her with their sharp beaks. But due to the smoke that still lingered around her, although nearly gone, maybe that’s the reason why the corvbeaks decided to start assaulting her. Foolish creatures. They will soon feel the consequence of their action. Lyndis tried to find an opening for a counter attack but the birds, although assaulting in an individualistic matter, had her pinned in dodging their attacks.

Narx
"Revenge is a confession of pain"
■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■

Narx never really liked the classic villain/hero dichotomy. Life was never that simple, yet many people still fell into those archetypes. Lyndis was one such person. She seemed so consumed with her heroic role in life that she fell prey to the very weaknesses of such a role. Namely, she didn't know when to shut up. She could have just shot Narx then and there. It might have very well ended. Instead she had to add that last little heroic flare and tell him to perish. Those two words with a pause in between were just enough for Narx to side step the arrow. His agility was his major physical attribute. The arrow flew past Narx's chest almost as if in slow motion. The arrow was ablaze and put forth an intense heat. If one was close enough they could see the tips of Narx's hair being singed. If Narx was a hero, or villain, he would have responded with some snarky comment. Then he surely would have been hit. Instead Narx did the only thing that didn't make sense. He sprinted straight at Lyndis. She may seem like some beautiful and frail women-like creature, but certainly her body was empowered and likely more tough than his own. She also likely had more strength, and endurance than he did. Narx ought to attempt to fight at a distance as that is where he held the advantage. All that said, Narx knew that this is exactly why she took her stance in the middle of the field. She knew that nobody would likely beat her in a close combat scenario, and that she would have maximal dodging time if she stood in the middle. Thus augmenting one of her weaker traits. Agility. Narx did not need to be significantly faster. He had intelligence, and more importantly a few tricks up his sleeves that would make up for it. He finally was in about striking distance of her. He pulled out one of his glowing trinkets in his right hand and prepared to strike Lyndis with it, or maybe her weapon. Whichever fit the circumstances better. In his left hand he held his crossbow, ready to fire. She would have to somehow ward off these two attacks at the same time, but that would be difficult with her staff alone. At the last second he dropped to his knees into an uncontrollable slide. If she slashed vertically he would hit her with his crossbow, if she took to the skies as her wings allowed, it would also be too late to dodge the arrow. This attack was complex, but not invincible. She could likely find some way to get our of the scenario. Which is why he had the trinket in his right hand.

-Krosis Amalur-
I contemplated for a hundred years a single blade of grass...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The silent and patient steps of Krosis would proceed forward and he would pause as noises entered into his hearing and with a quick step he would seem to enter into an archway as a cloud of corvbeaks streamed by overhead the shadows giving them the appearance of a solid black tendril that wove through the shadows of the alley. Krosis simply stared quietly as they passed, they were only birds after all and he wasn't an obvious target, he wasn't shiny, he wasn't making noise, was he attacking them, nor was he running from them. As such the Corvbeaks seemed to not even notice the black clothed elf as he crouched in the doorway. And once the sound of wings and the last stray feather fell he would arise and stalk forward toward the Central Square.

A sliver of face would appear at the far side of the square as it observed the situation.

Vivian went small once again and stayed low. She never thought she would of done something like this. She grew up always striving to be strong, more strong than the previous year. She knew one day she would face some challenges, and as of now this may be her biggest one yet.

Not really paying attention Vivian flew straight into yet another lacefang. This one was huge. Not just because she was small--he was huge. Vivian gasped and got big stumbling back. The other's seemed so..little compared to this big fella. Vivian pointed her staff at the monster as it screeched and began to charge at her. Vivian being fast, flew out of the way letting it run into the building that was behind her. Vivian then let it get out before shooting fire at this one has well. Lacefang's are suh a nuisance.
