Souretsu and Kuroda
Souretsu had hoped to distract Ashe, but no good. The other started walking towards her, spinning the tonfa. She smirked, and was about to respond, but the other darted towards her. SHe focused on blocking her head, but took a few strikes to her legs. She couldn't block it all, but she'd block the more serious strikes. She was the most cautious about keeping her balance. If Ashe knocked her down, she knew she'd never be able to get back up, and she'd lose. She reacted quick to move out of that sweep, but moved right back in, slashing with the knife to hopefully make Ashe lose her balance, but mostly to make some sort of strike. Ashe wanted to see her actually strike, then fine. She'd give her some. She put a wall of fire behind Ashe, forcing her to either take a burn, or have to dodge to the sides.

Thoughts: 'She'd better make it at least ten minutes against a wolf!' 'Ten minutes...that's not so bad...'

Souretsu and Kuroda
It was a bit of a surprise to have opened a cut on Ashe's side. It was shallow, but it was a strike. Souretsu could practically see the other working out solutions, or possible solutions in her head. She saw the other didn't move, deciding to take the hit. Souretsu was about to knock aside the knife, and went to bite Ashe's hand, but suddenly the teacher was between them. She slowly relaxed, hearing she passed, and so did Kuroda, by extension. She nodded at the instruction. She hadn't wanted to go full power in case she scared every fragile human in the room. She went by her sister, where she was lounging, and sat beside her.
"See how amazing I am? I passed without doing a thing. You could a learn a thing or two from me." Kuroda said with a little smirk.
Souretsu managed a smirk, and shoved her sister over.
"Ah!? Hey! What was that for?" Kuroda asked, sitting up, an expression of mock annoyance. After a moment, she put her hand on her sister's shoulder, helping her calm down. It was always rough after a fight. Souretsu leaned her head against her sister, wanting to watch the next fight. Nemesis added the rule of no going easy.

Evie had watched the previous fights, not moving a bit. This place is craaazy, she surmised. She hoped Yuki won't get mentally scarred by that joker/clown... thing. Even the Ice Witch felt rattled by jesters.
It wasn't long until her name was called to fight... Against Ciri. She sighed inwardly as she strutted to the ring, her staff folliwing. The witcheress protested against the decision rather fiercely, Evie didn't know whether to be grateful or annoyed. Grateful cause Ciri probably didnt want to hurt her or annoyed because she thinks Evie couldn't handle it.
Evie decided to just be grateful Mr.Nemesis didn't pull the greatest fear shtick with her. Boy, that wouldve been sticky.
Tbe winter witch silently observed Ciri, cataloging everything she knew about the witcheress. She had to be ready, Mr.Nemesis didnt appear to be the guy you could just bargain with. He seemed the sort to get what be wanted, one way or another. Better to acquiesce to his original terms rather a revised one. She was a witch, she knew how these things went
Ciri, witcheress. Handy with a sword, and insta-tele. Evie went through Ciri's skill mentally. It was going to be hard enough staying away from the lithe panda, it would be death going close. If the winter witch blinked, Ciri would be on her a second later, tbat would give Ciri an advantage.
No, Evie was big on ber ability to be a wrecker behind enemy lines, she wasn't going to give up her advantage in surprise. Then another option would be to fly around panda and lob icicles. Too predictable, Ciri would blink in and swing her annoying sword at her.
All out then? certainly an enticing thought. She might get carried away but that was Mr.Nemesis and Ms.wolf was here for. Evie smiled, bowed deeply, 'Your majesty,' She mouthed at Ciri.
Her playing strategy locked in, it was time.
And what time it was, Mr.Nemesis graced Ciri with a reply, a harsh one.
She suppressed an urge to giggle despite the circumstance.

Evie felt a bubble of laughter coming up but swallowed it down. A hardwired trait really, something about how people were afraid of a witches laugh in the middle of night. Or in a desolate winter forest in Evie's case.
Now the formalities were observed, Ciri awaited her to deliver the first strike. So she held her staff, gripping it firmly as an ice projectile blasted outwards flying at Ciri.
Evie narrowed her eyes, if the sly panda as much as flickered Evie would use ice block to protect herself. Nope, she wont be falling for that teleport from wherever trick. Not today, no sir. I am not buying your vacuum, good day! Another bout of laughter came, this time she didnt held it back.

Evie didn't expect the first shot to land, it did. Techincally, on Ciri's sword. Sliced in two really. The winter witch had to contain her surprise as Ciri slashed her swkrd upwards, for a moment, she considered laughing, she was wee on the way of laughing at the spectacle, a swordswoman slashing at empty air.
She had only a moment to realize the consequence as the floorboards creaked, following a path straight to her. Forunately, she was tugged forcefully away from the blast by her staff.
'Hey! Thats--' she grunted, blasting two more ice projectiles at Ciri from a safe enough distance. 'Overkill!' The ice flew Ciri's way, 'And my ice is set to stun! Don't make crank this bad boy up!' She threatened, a smile playing at her lips.

-Bernadette had taken a seat at the front, as close to the action as possible. At Yarost's outburst, she simply gave a lazy wave and a 'sup' type nod, taking a long drink of her Frappuccino in the process. The angel girl piqued her interest a bit, but she quickly brushed that aside when the trial started. Ew, that guy was gross. She'd seen worse though, not to mention fighting a few succubi herself.
The heads were a super gross touch, but ten out of ten points for it.
Yuki's burst of energy sorta make Bernie's hair do a swoosh thing, but not much else. 'Close though...' And then it was over. A shame, she would have liked to see just har far the girl could go.
Next up was one of the twins. Bernadette knew a demon when she saw one, and she knew Ashe could smell it. She let it slide, sensing no foul intentions from the girl. Still, she laid the practice sword on the ground next to her instead of keeping it in the harness. A snap was a snap, and even if the smoothed rapier couldn't kill, she could still incapacitate with it. Then that fight was done. She slid the rapier back into the harness.
Up until now, Bernadette had watched expressionless, weighing each persons skills. When she got wrapped into the category of teacher, she grimaced. Teacher, she was not. Likely to send either of the girls to ICU, she was. And that would have been just the practice fight. Nemesis handled it, much more tactfully than she would have, but not by far. Another strong gust sent the lid on her drink flying and made her hair do the swoosh thing again. Even pissed off a sleeping fairy in one of her pockets. "All's fair in Love and War, sweetie."-

Ciri rushed her and before she knew it, she was blocking a downward swing witb her staff, her hands frozen in ice as she held back the massive force the panda was exerting.
Just like that, the witcheress spun around her, away from her sight, Evie wanted to glance over her shoulder and blast a round in the panda's face. But she knew thatd be too late.
Evie called upon Xerxes, and he answered happily. A sentiment that Evie felt uncomfortable with. Thick magical ice enveloped her, beneath it, Evie heard metal clashing into the ice. It's edge digging hungrily into the cold.
Then came the hard part: running away from her situation. She dispelled most of the ice, leaving the slab blocking Ciri's attack. She hopped on her staff, flying a distance away. That was close, if she hadn't... the sword would have cut through her back. Worst off, her favorite jacket would've been torn, it was genuine leather for Briar sakes.
Despite Ciri's statement, Evie still couldnt force herself to go all out. Sure it was practice or whatever but going all out meant exactly just that: Killed or be killed. And Evie had a code to uphold: no killing your team. A code Mr.Nemesis was keen to break. Plus, she couldn't bear to see Ciri bleeding again, or worse; frozen.
Well, Mr.Nemesis didnt know how much she could do. Evie thought of putting on a show, make them believe she had gone all out. Win-win.
Evie felt her staff prod her lightly on her shoulder, she focused. She grabbed the staff, her brows furrowed as she concentrated, a moment later an ice ball shot out. Slice that in half would ya, she snickered, a nasty surprise awaited the Panda.
