- »Characters personality: Kigura is a bit of an odd one. She always has that odd smile to her, giving off an eerie aura. Especially when she is following someone out of sheer curiosity. While she has a very off putting way to her she can be kind especially with her squad. She shows respect to her fellow captain's but not enough to keep from spying on them. When alone she is often quiet and reserved, opting to sit in silence or meditate when possible. Rarely does she ever show signs of anger but when she does it's a good idea to steer clear.

You might be wondering what a person like Kigura is doing in the Soul Society and how she managed to reach the position she is in now. Well, if you pull up a chair I can fill you in on the events. Just...don't tell her I told you alright? Kigura did not start out in the walls of the Seiretei. She did not wall among nobles and find herself along the gentle care of those within. No, Kigura started her journey in the vast outskirts far south of the Seiretei. Without any indication of relatives or where she came from, a small band of outcasts discovered her wandering alone in the barren landscape. After days of treating and tending to her she finally started to open up, even managing a sweet smile with appreciated words and thank you's all around.
Her main keeper amongst the group was a man that few I'm the group knew was an exiled member of the Soul Society. His reason as to why he no longer resided within the walls has been lost to time, however he always wore a strange symbol of a flower on his attire. Kigura found comfort with this man, almost like a father to her as he taught her how to survive, harvest goods and even play with other younger ones in the wandering band of outcasts and forgotten ones. When she resembled that of a young teenager she and a few other young ones snuck off to investigate a dense forest that was deemed forbidden to enter. Kids right?
Curiosity never hurt a soul was what Kigura always loved to say. And she was right on that account. Except what you find in your curiosity...that is what will hurt you. A nest of hollows was unfortunately what they stumbled across and they were rewarded for their foolishness. I don't dare describe the horrors of what happened in that forest. But, Kigura did manage to sneak and hide herself well enough for two days to avoid being devoured like the others. In her most dire moments and times of panic a voice called out, soft and caring as it helped to advise where she run to and how quickly to do so. Just at the edge of the forest was when a straggler of the hollows caught onto her, jumping at the chance to finally catch the little mouse that had been alluding them.
As it's jaws snapped open to catch her she swung wildly at the hollow with closed eyes and tears streaming down her face, a flash of light and the sound of metal sinking deeply into bone rang out. The voice that had guided her praised her excitedly, demanding she open her eyes and prepare for another blow. In an instant of clarity she focused on the reeling hollow before her, grip tight on the hilt of a blade as she focused in on her target. With a quick foot and rapid attack she began to carve and slice all over the hollows body, forcing a cry for help to ring out while she continued her assault. Before the nest could stir fast enough Kigura had made mince meat of the hollow, her heavy breath and blood soaked figure standing over her kill.
It was at this moment the man who had raised her arrived, pausing to see her smiling widely with her blade in hand and blood dripping from her. She whipped around and nervously giggled as tears rolled down her face, still maintaining her crooked smile. In that instant there was a flash of movement before Kigura found herself back at the camp, held tight by her mentor. She frantically explained what happened and received her fair share of grief before the entire camp was forced to pack up everything they had and move on before the hollows became too restless.
Many blamed her for the loss of the others and having to move, but her mentor was much more interested in her managing to access a zanpakto. Kigura spent a long time meditating and focusing on her zanpakto, honing her ability to wield it while also training under her mentor on the ways of Shunpo. She never asked how they knew the ability or where they learned it, she simply took the lessons and harnessed them to protect the others in her wandering group. As she grew older and the confines of the empty wandering began to take it's toll, she thrived for excitement. Sinking her blade into hollows and mastering her abilities was mundane on the outskirts of the massive walls of the Seiretei.
One day, her mentor spoke of a nest of hollows that was threatening a nearby village just outside the walls. Kigura was eager to aid them as her mentor simply wished her the best and gave her a cryptic farewell. Without much thought she raced to the nest, her speed rapid and honed. When she arrived she was too focused on the hollows to notice the Soul Reapers that were preparing an ambush. Charging right in she sunk her blade deeply into the alpha, making little work of it before dancing around the stragglers with her sickish grin. Needless to say when an unranked and tattered cloth bearing woman appears and decimates a hollow nest before any other Soul Reaper can act, it catches some people's attention.
Before she could make her way back home, she was sidelined and taken to the Seiretei for questioning on who she was and where she came from. After a long and rather tedious process she was finally cleared to stay within the walls by the head captain, the tale of a woman appearing from the wastelands too good to pass up. As she joined the ranks and established herself she rose rapidly, surpassing most of the other members of the squad she remembered seeing on her master. The draw of captain was far too rich for her not to pursue. And so, the tale of the mysterious and very unnerving woman begins...

»Released appearance: Sumimasen changes from it's dagger like appearance to that of a glaive, the long blade crested with a skull at the base that radiates the same aura as Kigura. The long polearm design allows for variety in her battle stances.
»Physical changes: Her blade changes to that of a glaive, skulls forming around her upper torso as a single skull locks onto the hilt of the blade.
»Battlefield changes: A strange sensation creeps along the spine of any beings within 100 feet of Kigaru, almost as if the very shadows around her bend and ebb from her movements.

- Dark Tendrils | Upon release four skulls form around her upper torso lining the front and back. Kigura channels her power into the skulls around her torso [Requires an uninterrupted post]. Once this is done they will alight with a blue colored flame and lock their sights onto her opponent. Once they have traced the target, all shadows cast from their light will bend and manipulate from her will. The shadows burst forth and seek after their target, sharp as blades and able to move at speeds just shy of Shunpo. They can be deflected like blades but due to their potentially overwhelming numbers can become very deadly. During this she is locked in place and can only engage in a defensive stance. This power can only effect shadows within 100 feet of her, it can only effect shadows that are cast from the skulls light, and this can only last up to 3 posts. Once the limit is met a skull will shatter and cannot be utilized until she has rested after a battle.
- Lecherous Grasp | Kigura sends out one of her skulls to attack an opponent. If the skull clasps down onto an opponent or their weapon it will begin to drain their Reiatsu. If the opponent leaves the skull they will begin to feel the draining effects of the parasitic skull. During this period Kigura will slowly channel her opponents Reiatsu into her own weappn, bolstering its overall power and destructive force until the opponent removes the skull or collapses. The skulls have a very tight grip and require immediate attention to be removed. Requires a single post to remove.
- Abyssal Brawl | Kigura slams her zanpakto into the ground before her, the skull radiating with a eerie glow as a shadowy sphere that encases anything within a 300 foot radius around it inside. Inside this field movement is sluggish as if having to swim through a low current, gravity is more enforced like a hand is pushing you down, and overall sight is dim as if a haze is encasing the battlefield. In this field Kigura is well versed, having adapted to the effect and compensating to it's range. An opponent can leave the aura but they will be in hot pursuit of Kigura. She relies on Hakudo as her weapon must remain in place for the aura to maintain its hold. This effect can last up to 10 posts but opponents can remove themselves from it's influence.

»Physical changes: Kigura wraps herself in darkness before bursting forth, a massive cross shaped coffin appearing across her back with a skeleton embracing her from the center.
»Battlefield changes: Dread fills all within 200 feet of Kigura. Her typical smile is almost bone chilling as she intertwines her fingers with her bankai state zanpakto. Regardless of light or time of day it will seem to be an almost twilight like state of dusk.

- Fear the Reaper | The skeleton adorning the cross locks eyes with her target, chilling them to the very core of their being. For 3 posts if the target locks eyes with the skeleton they will be unable to look away without a sense of death setting in. While not hypnotic this distraction can leave openings for Kigura to strike. 5 post cool down is required for the effect to take hold.
- Barrowed Time | Kigura channels the raw power of her zanpakto, feeding off the last being to be consumed by it to augment and empower her. For 5 posts she is able to draw from their abilities and mirror their powers. This is almost always grasping from hollows that she has defeated and managed to contain in her zanpakto. This is only able to be used once per fight and requires her to rear in order to use this power again. Once she has drawn from the dead being inside her zanpakto they are consumed and unable to be utilized again.
- Deaths Embrace | Sumimasen opens her arms and welcomes her opponent into her embrace. The coffin of Kigura's zanpakto opens slowly to draw a defeated opponent in, trapping them inside before slamming shut. Once inside they are unable to free themselves unless Kigura orders Sumimasen to do so in her Bankai state. This requires her opponent to be defeated and considered either dead or so near death they are unable to continue. Requires 1 full post of uninterrupted actions to occur and consent by both parties. She can only absorb and hold one opponent at any given time and can only do so in a bankai state.
