 -- PRIOR THREAD!! I've quoted the correct posts I made here, but you can see their rolls in the screwed thread! This is just a new thread because there were way too many posts to simply cross off there and it would be a confusing mess for me. ^^ So here we are. --

The soft snuffling in the leaves woke up Fowl Play from her comfortable nap in the sunlight, and at first, she thought it was just a half-dream following her into the waking world. She shook her head and flicked an ear at it, before her eyes actually caught the poor foxbun in the corner of her eye, resting against the side of the river and huffing loudly to itself, squeaking softly occasionally in distress.
Fowl only flattened her ears and then moved slowly so as not to spook it. "Hello there," she says softly, soothingly, and hoped to disarm its clear discomfort at her presence.
The fur was extra soft, and seemed to be a mix of several colors she'd never seen before. She wondered if it was even from this section of the swamp. She tilted her head and looked around, wondering if there were any others, a family, nearby, but she caught no such glimpse. Would be such a shame if the poor little thing were to pass away. She concluded she'd attempt to put it at ease. |

Pigxels Fowl decides to try and win it over with some food. What else could a poor thing like this, stuck against the bank want? Nearby, she managed to kick around the water enough to find a fish, and snapped it between her teeth. Gingerly, she nosed it closer to the foxbun's vicinity, but of course it's in a rather confused fury, and snaps at her nose when she gets too close. She pauses and waits, and slowly its eyes seem to start to flick between her and the fish in her mouth. "Hungry, I imagine," she says again, soothing tones of her voice. Pigxels Nevertheless, it seems to understand this is meant to be food, and it sniffs it cautiously before taking it from her mouth. It eats a little faster now, realizing its own hunger, and Fowl smiles a bit. This is good; an appetite is always a good sign. She eyes all over it from where she is, rather close, but can't seem to make out anything. She wonders if its possible it was just from swimming, or if there was a wound somewhere at an angle she couldn't see, but didn't want to move too much and startle it. Pigxels She forces herself to slowly rise to her feet and take a few steps back to give some space, while she contemplates carefully shifting around to see if she can spot a major problem. It seems to respect her distance while it eats, and glanced over at her occasionally while it gnaws. OOC Footnote Current HP: 28 Current Trust: 13 + 1 = 14 Section notes: No clue yet! |

Pigxels She manages to find a small spot of blood at the back of its head, but it sort of blended in with the fur. Not sure how she missed the red splotch before, but there it was all the same. Inspecting it too long and doing circles, however, makes the foxbun a little irritable, and she can hear it rumble a tiny growl at her. Just when she was feeling satisfied she could at least see what the injury was, she heard a low snarl behind her. She froze, and watched the foxbun's fur stand on end and its pupils narrow. She turned her head to see a massive, larger than normal wolf's yellow, glowing eyes glaring from under the brush. It stepped out slowly into view once it knew it'd been spotted, and eyed the both of them. Fowl shifted herself to stand between it and the foxbun slowly, and prepared for a strike. It was a shocking size, and a terrifying sounding beast. She reared up for an uncertain kick, hoping to land somewhere soft and do some real damage.
There was no way this was going to disrupt her now, not after she'd come this far. She could feel her legs shake, but braced and prepared herself for the first hit with a heavy hoof, which landed between its eyes. It yelped and jumped back a step, surprised. She felt the teeth on her ankle before she knew what had happened and she jerked back with a pained grunt, preparing for another strike.
