Odette was still shaken, as much as she tried to hide it from the public. The presence of company, of older trolls at least gave her the safety of conversation. In silence, she quickly whipped herself into a panic, surrounded once again by mirrors and tricks of the light. Her hands clinged to the one piece of solid evidence she had found, the heavy blunderbuss, that although awkward to carry, gave her a surprising feeling of safety that her normal weapon did not offer.
Still, when one of the beams creaked and buckled beside her, she jumped with a start and a soft gasp of a shout. She frantically moved away from the threatening beam, trying to keep light on her feet as she moved.

Captain Kursha Vidari
Kursha kicked through the debris, half-halfheartedly searching for a hint of a ghostly visage. Though the night had begun full of vigour, he had eventually lost steam as he ruminated over recent events. He had lost track of Sarcel and the others upon their descent into the catacombs, and the blueblood's absence had a larger impact on him than he would have guessed. She put on a brave face, but both of them knew what had transpired in these ruins just a few sweeps ago. She was hiding something.
As he crouched down beside some rubble, he heard footsteps across the block. He glanced back over his shoulder on reflex, and then immediately did a double take. A low hiss escaped between his teeth. He should have known better than to be surprised. It seemed inevitable that their paths would cross at some point, but he had rather hoped otherwise. He wanted as little to do with Odette Cygnet as possible.
The redblood had yet to see him, so there was still a chance he could slink away before she noticed. But if she did notice... his distaste for the redblood was no secret. Though she might not say anything, she would recognise his attempt to escape. The thought of her gloating with that self-satisfied smile nearly made bile rise to his throat. He could not risk it. She already had the advantage.
Kursha perched on top of the debris, debating his move as he watched Odette. He did not have to wait long to find an opportunity. A beam creaked and leaned over the redblood, threatening to crush her. She scampered away with a shout and more grace than Kursha would have liked. Still, he allowed himself a small amount of smugness at catching her off guard.
“Having trouble there? I imagine it's a little more difficult than navigating a film set.”

Captain Kursha Vidari
Well, that was one way to get him up off his a**.
Jumping to his feet, Kursha swore, a combination of expletives and incoherent syllables. A spray of fiery wood chips and sharp ceramic from the ensuing explosion rained down on him. He shielded his face and eyes with his arm. The debris bounced off with little effect. In other places though, he felt the sting of the assault.
When the rain stopped, he lowered his arm to say Odette laying in the middle of the floor. “... the ********, you crazy b***h!” he exclaimed. The redblood stared back at him, hopelessly. Suddenly he heard the wooden planks beneath her give a warning creak. He knew what was coming next. By the look in her eyes, she did too. He would not lift a finger to help her.
Then he felt the floor under his own feet give.
Kursha would have been happy to let her fall. But no. She had to drag him down with her. She had to make sure that if she went down, he did as well. She had fired that shot on purpose.
If they both made it to the bottom alive, he was going to hit her, Regina be damned.

Quote: Flydra finds: Moustache wax A small tub of manly moustache wax, "for those with sea legs".
Flydra was taken by surprise by Zindel's sudden appearance and the kiss to her hand. Playboys typically didn't bother with her due to her colder nature. She pulled her arm back quickly, suspicious of any troll that immediately gravitated to her rather than the more sociable Scorpa or Austri. Well, perhaps he was simply kissing up to the higher ranked tealblood of the Sirens since Lorata had wandered off. She supposed that was understandable.
"There is something you can do for us, actually." It was rather lucky to have a redblood join them. Now they could push lowly tasks off onto him. She remembered this one from the superstar competition, he had been athletic and charismatic. Hopefully he would be willing to make himself useful, even if the tasks were not as glamorous here.
"There are an abundance of needles here. I want you to pick them up so they are out of the way of the children." The Mirrim twins had steel enforced boots, sure, but the constant pricks and stings were still upsetting the poor kids and Flydra would not stand for that. The floor began to give way underneath Oisier and Reisio and Flydra gasped in terror. She had to save them, she had given them her word! As she began towards them at a run, Garand quickly grabbed hold of them and pulled them to safety. Maybe he was more capable than she had given him credit for. It was so easy to dismiss him as simply Scorpa's plaything.
"Good save, Gallop." She mumbled, a little crestfallen that she had not been able to be heroic for Lorata's sake. She would have to try harder to look for opportunities. Narrowed eyes looked forward for other clues instead and she brushed some dust off of an odd item to inspect it.

Caiden Banksy Caiden grinned at Cynril, who seemed to be in the middle of the entire thing. Good for him! He was happy the boy was standing up and acting on something he cared about. "Hey Engrav," The brownblood said, leaning over to whisper at his morail. "What are we doing here again?" Caiden was all smiles, sure, but this had kinda been a weird adventure. There were dangerous places, weird underground catacombs, and... clues? Yeah, Caiden was a little lost on the why, but hey! It looked fun! Besides, he got to hang with some cool friends, so that was always good.
"Good idea!" Caiden said after the purpleblood, Elylas's comment. "Who dosnt want comforting? Especially when your haunting places and whatnot!" He frowned as another troll, a jadeblood, spoke up. "Engrav, what do you do with ghosts?" Engrav had to know, i mean, he was Engrav.

Engrav Setlar
Engrav honestly didn't know a lot about ghosts. It had all seemed like so much spiritual mumbo-jumbo until so very recently, and he hadn't been at all interested in such a... well, an idiotic sounding concept. Now, the yellowblood was regretting it. Since he hadn't done his own research and was pretty much just operation off what Glamis had told them, it put the inventor in the unenviable position of being completely in the dark. Not a place he was used to.
Engrav scratched his chin with his metal hand, thinking about what Glamis had been yammering on about. It sounded like so much gobbledygook to him, but... clearly unknown forces were at work in the mansion. "I think.." the yellowblood began, considering what the royalist ghost hunter had posited in the clearing. "I think if the ghost isn't interested in leaving, we're supposed to keep it busy until Glamis' big machine has lock on it's location."
Engrav shrugged. "Not that I'm any expert in the paranormal. I'm almost certain it would be much better if we were able to convince the ghost to, uh, de-stress. As the young highblood put it." The inventor pushed his hair away from his eye, thinking. "Did anyone in this room actually KNOW the troll in question? Maybe have some idea how they relaxed in life?"

"Well, they were a musician, a singer. If you had any class or interest in like, the arts, you'd know that," they said lazily, picking up the microphone and placing it in the summoning circle. Acteon, an aspiring pianist, was well versed in the music scene. Erilyn's music was supposed to be amazing, for a military deserter. A deep, sensual voice... what Acteon would give to hear it from their own ghost, and be able to replicate it! What a fantastic voice that'd be. Sure they could use recordings of the music, but it wasn't the same. It was better when they heard it in person! Still, Acteon looked around. Their lusus, Steppy, was eager to meet the singer. He would have loved to meet them, and do a little dance. Though Erilyn was a criminal. Maybe that wasn't so bad though. You can do crime and still be talented.
