Personality: As opposed to her younger self, Setsuko is much less of a shy and generally reclusive girl-. While not exactly a social butterfly, she is much more active in going out and talking to people and managing to shake her social anxiety. She still is very mature, lady-like and polite to a fault but she's also grown to be a bit more easygoing and somewhat playful. Her perceptiveness and empathy of course has not faded, Trying to adopt a 'water of a duck's back' mentality. She seems to have become more comfortable in her own skin and therefore has become more accepting of attention from others. Though old habits are hard to break and she can become easily flustered, especially when flirted with. Along with that she can get into her own head and it can keep her back from going after what she wants. Thankfully she has the determination to learn from her past and be a better person for it. She wants to meet all kinds of people and learn all kinds of new things. Oddly enough sometimes when she sleeps she has a tendency to sleep talk, even able to reply to someone talking to her. There have been times when she's held full conversations with people. It used to occur more often when she was a child and teenager but has lessened in recent years. This can still be a bit embarrassing for her as compared to her awake self, she seems to have no filter when conversing in her sleep. Weird quirks aside, Setsuko has grown into a lovely cheerful young lady. One more than willing to be give someone a shoulder to cry on or lend a listening ear. She wants to be someone that the people she cares about can depend on, lending to her kind heart. However whatever you do, don't take her kindness for granted. While she isn't one to actively express her anger, she won't let someone use and abuse her and if pushed far enough will push back. Though it does take a lot to wane on her patience.
Bio: Setsuko was adopted when she was just a baby by a couple unable to have children of their own. She was raised in a very well off household and lived a very comfortable life, though the wealth her family had never made her spoiled. Even if she was heavily doted on during her childhood. What neither she nor her parents were aware of was that her birth mother had strong telekinetic abilities which passed onto her daughter. Her abilities were dormant for many years until one day, when she was about 10, she was in her home library trying to reach a book just out of reach. She tried for several minutes and was thinking of getting it when it suddenly floated off the shelf and into her hand. She was shocked for a while and didn't quite understand what was happening. Thinking she was just imagining things, she decided to see if she could replicate the event. She reached for another book, this time much higher up, and concentrated. Just like the first time the book came off the shelf and floated down to her. She tried to keep calm as she went to tell her parents what had happened. They were just as shocked as their daughter and went to the internet to try and find an explanation. An hour later they came to the conclusion that she had used levitation to bring the books to her, which then lead them to the belief that their daughter had telekinetic powers, attributing it to one or both of her birth parents. Since neither of her parents had powers they tried to find someone who could, putting out search ads. One day a young woman named Noelle came to their home and said that she'd be happy to teach their daughter to use her abilities. All she asked was that she could stay in their home while she did, explaining that she was basically a vagabond. They were a bit apprehensive at first but soon agreed deciding to trust her. And so the training began. As Setsuko began to get a handle on her abilities, a friendship began to grow between the two girls. Soon Noelle was teaching Setsuko different things, like cooking and sewing and gifted her a dark blue shawl which became her most prized possession. The younger was always very shy and found it hard to make friends, always keeping her nose in a book rather than getting out and being social. So making her first friend was very important to her. Soon they were as close as sisters and it was like Noelle was part of the family. A day came however when Noelle had to depart, one of her last blood relative was sick and she needed to go help her family. Sadly it had been quite some time, close to a year and a half, since Noelle got in touch with Setsuko and her family. This depressed the young girl and she shut herself in a little bit as the one person who broke through her shell left and she hadn't even sent a letter or called her. She only really left the house to attend school, which worried her parents. Eventually they had enough and decided to get her out of the home, and the best way was to send her somewhere. Eventually they found Lehakoe Academy, it wasn't outside the country and it had people with different powers and abilities so she wouldn't be alone in that case. She was apprehensive at first but soon relented, knowing deep down it probably would help her and after a while she was on her way to her new school life, which had her rather nervous, but also a bit excited.
The time that she spent at her new school actually did wonders as she didn't revert to her old ways upon returning home after graduation. While she still thoroughly enjoyed reading, she knew wasting her life away inside would terrible. So instead she was proactive in her attempts to be a regular social human being. She'd venture out and go visit the busier parts of Japan. She was especially drawn to Shinjuku and Akihabara. She had always been a secret otaku, but now that she was older and more confident in herself she was ready to embrace her hobby more. To that point she even acquired a job at a maid cafe, finding the uniforms cute and even though the work was hard, she enjoyed entertaining customers. She even managed to make friends with some of her co-workers. Sooner than she realized she found herself wanting to dress up as more than a maid, she wanted to go into full cosplay. Seeing as she already was skilled in sewing, making her own costumes wouldn't be hard. Joining an online group she engrossed herself in that world, even to the point of starting her own blog! It filled with a sense of pride and was a boost of self confidence when she was complimented on her work. Plus the fans that she garnered were pretty awesome too. It even allowed her to break out of her comfort zone and attempt the more.. risque characters. About a year later her parents suggested taking a family trip since they'd been working so hard and wanted to spent time with their daughter. Of course she was happy about it, spending time with her parents was always nice. So they ended up visiting the beautiful city of Soleil, her father having heard great things from a colleague who previously visited. Setsuko absolutely enjoyed the trip, the beach was beautiful and the people were kind, and she found the rumors of finding one's soulmate was interesting. She actually found herself not wanting to leave once the vacation was over. Not immediately bringing this up, she went back home but couldn't help herself. She said that she wanted to try to live on her own, and specifically wanted to go back to Soleil. Of course they wanted to support her, and so made arrangements to procure her a house. So a few months later with a heart full of hope and excitement she was off to start her independent life.
