Personality: Ceres is a very caring and nurturing person at heart. She worries about everyone, even if they aren't close to her. Many people would also call her ditzy and aloof since she tends to space out a lot. Whenever she spaces out, it usually tends to be at the wrong time and and the wrong place. She's gotten herself in awkward situations before from just day-dreaming. Since humans have advanced themselves in regards with technology, this poor Dryad has tried her hardest to keep up with the times in order to not look too weird in public..although...she still tends to do so anyways. Even though she tends to look weird, she's still very persistent in learning and usually has fun doing so. Most of her crazy and funny mishaps end up leading to friendships she never knew would happen as an outcome. Throughout the years, despite hardships that she has encountered, she still remains positive and optimistic about life and the future. However, while she is usually always cheerful and bright, she does have her moments of depression. Ceres drowns herself in regret and doubts about what she had done in the past to the point where she shuts people out of her life completely. Unless her close friends can pull her out of that darkness, she can usually stay depressed like that for days or months.
Bio: The past is kinda just one big blur to Ceres since she's be alive for so long, but she can recall somethings. Back in Greece when the forests were flourishing, untouched from humankind, it was all peaceful. Ceres and the other Dryads in her large and vast forest were all just simply enjoying life. Life with the trees, life with the animals, and life in general. However, she seemed to be a bit different than the other Dryads. Ceres was curious about humans and their ways of life, but the others were often distant and distrusting of them. She had been told stories before about humans were nothing but greedy pests, taking everything for themselves and leaving little for non-humans and animals. Even though she took the stories into account, she was still curious of them. Her curiosity grew until one night she decided to venture out into the nearest village.
Without any disguise - or clothes for that matter - she literally walked right into their village unannounced. Of course, they looked at her strange because of that. No human had really seen Dryads fully with their eyes. They were shy creatures that often went into hiding, so seeing one out in the open and in their village was something completely weird and unheard of. The word of her appearance spread into the village nearby and that soon cause a lot of trouble for her. That same night, she was almost kidnapped and was about to get sent off to be a trophy and prize to their king, but she was luckily able to escape. Those years after that night was honestly something that she would regret for the rest of her life. The humans from those villages became increasingly desperate to find the Dryads. They started spreading rumors that they could grant you immortality if caught them and so on, so they began to search the forests, cutting down trees to get through the thick and vast land of vegetation. Little did they know that killing the tree was also killing the Dryads. The closer that the humans got to Ceres and the others' part of the forest, the more uneasy they became. Eventually, a few of them managed to fuse with their trees and flee the dangers that were to come. This is why in her Dryad form, Ceres has tree branches sticking from her body. The fusion was the only way they could have survived.
After the human invasion, the other Dryads that made it out decided that Ceres was too risky to keep along with them. She was the cause that made that made the humans curious and greedy for their kind, so she was exiled by the group. Honestly, she was scared. She was scared of being alone, out in the open. She tried to apologize and plead with them not to leave her, but the decision was unanimous and final. This was the start of Ceres's nomadic life. She moved from place to place, forest to forest, for centuries until this year. She tired of having to move around, feeling unsafe. She had observed the humans over those centuries and made up her mind that they were now more open-minded and perhaps less greedy than the ones from the village many years ago.
