August 21, 2016 // Aleks Mason wins the Universal Championship
The Universal Championship was introduced after a mutual
brand-split, and with that said, it was only right that TNW:R brought
in the second world championship. The Universal Championship.
Aleks Mason entered a tournament where he would've beaten the likes
of The Undertaker and Dean Ambrose, and eventually reaching the
finals with Randy Orton. Randy Orton and Aleks Mason would meet
in the main event of Summerslam with Aleks Mason capturing the
Universal Champioship, not only winning his first championship ever
in TNW:R, but also being the very first Universal Champion of the world.
May 27, 2018 // Matt Allens wins the Universal Championship
After TNWR's hiatus, Matt Allens carried on the TNW:R Championship.
He went on to Critical Wrestling Federation, where he met with Aleks
Mason, with both champions meeting face-to-face. And it was set,
at CWF Wrestlemania, it was going to be winner-take-all. Allens and
Mason went on to fight for BOTH championships, with Matt Allens
capturing the biggest moment of his career and holding three world
championships at the same time.
