They spent weeks together playing and exploring - until one night, when the other foal's parents arrived panicked at the disappearance of their child. They swept the foal away and that was the last time Not To Be ever saw them. The second time one of Not To Be's companions left them, they shrugged it off. It stung, of course - this was the first kin they had ever exchanged names with, had ever actually gotten to know, but they understood. They'd only known each other a month when the flood happened, after all, and they shouldn't have expected the other kin to leave their herd to join them in their wandering. It would be alright. The third time one of Not To Be's companions left them, they were heartbroken. They had found a fellow traveler; someone to enjoy the night sky with, to tell bad jokes to during dull stretches of travel. They met during the new moon - both lost, both desperate for companionship. But on the next new moon the traveler was attacked by an alligator while the two were resting that night. Not To Be was able to find kind kin with knowledge of herbs and healing, but no one was certain if they would survive. The traveler insisted Not To Be carry on without her, and they did. Friends and acquaintances came and went through those three companions, but none lasted as long. So, Not To Be decided, that was as long as fate decided they should keep company. One month, and no longer - else they risk the other kin coming into harm's way.

“You can’t be an Acha elitist forever,” Prize said, giving her tribe leader a disdainful stare.
“I can’t?” Watch Me mumbled, only half paying attention. He kept giving Someone Else’s Daughter appreciative stares.
“Listen,” Prize snapped. “What about your own Kiokote children? They deserve to be performers too.” Her nose wrinkled. “I can’t see why they’d want to but they should be allowed.”
Watch Me pouted. He really didn’t see why it was necessary. Everyone should be content to simply watch and adore his darling Acha. “I don’t-”
“You’ll see,” Prize promised, interrupting. “I have an idea.”

The Royal Rainbow Troupe has always boasted an Acha only show. Other species who join are welcome to follow along as fans or backstage support but they never get to share the spotlight. That might be about to change.
As Prize looked over the group of Kiokote and Acha eggs that needed a loving home, an idea formed. The biggest show the Swamp had ever seen with the headline a dancing group comprised of six marvellous performers, taken in as eggs and raised together by the vibrant troupe. Three Acha and three Kiokote.
A never before seen event!
It would practically sell itself.
What makes them the right caretakers? Who doesn’t want to join a giant ever-changing fluid family full of joy, love and the occasional silly drama about who gets to frontline for the night? They’ll have a ridiculous amount of aunts and uncles read to give advice, attention and hugs.
Though there are some expectations...
Prize herself will be overseeing their training to become a dancing and acrobatic group, showcasing the Acha elegance and the strength of the Kiokote and she won’t be taking no for an answer. They’ll have the very best of the best as she strives to prove a point to Watch Me that maybe he should broaden his horizons.
How would you give out the kin? Most will be contested away. It’ll be a mix of name, personality and probably how they feel about being expected to part of the troupe and to perform. They’ll be allowed to decide once Prize has her ‘big show’ whether they want to continue as performers or stay in the background.

Through little fairy themed games and events, storytelling and perhaps even roleplay!

"Oh, look at these poor little lambs," she murmured, her eyes glistening, "no one but each other to huddle with, poor things! They need someone to lick them over...feed them right..."
She turned her liquid eyes on tribe patriach, The Sun Also Rises, "Can't we take them in? Oh, please? We have the space to spare, and we could always use more hooves."
"We have the space to spare," Rise, a buck who thought of the dozens of tribe members as his very own, repeated, his eyes glistening, "and we could always use more hooves."
What makes them the right caretakers? Rise & Shine is one big giant loving family! ...With lots of work to do. The food empire has so many different jobs that need doing, no matter what the children grow up to be interested in, there'll always be a role just right for them.
How would you give out the kin? An IC cooking/recipe contest. A food tribe's gotta feed its kids right! :9

Your Username: Subducting Preference List: sheep lambs Adopting Tribe:Children of the Night Why are they interested in adopting? The tribe have a pretty unique way of experiencing the world, but it's something they'd be eager to share, especially with newborns. Also, bringing new life into a tribe that's also just getting started seems symbolically appropriate, and the Children are all about symbolism. What makes them the right caretakers? Dark Moon has a huge family in the tribe, and she knows that they'll all provide so much love for the growing lambs. Having her family close by is super important to her, and a large part of tribe life, and she had amazing parents in Cry of the Night Sky, Dusk Herald and Trace the Stars. The Children of the Night are a pretty tight-knit group, what with the huge amount of familial connections, so there's a lot of love around. How would you give out the kin? I'd host a raffle with the entries being a name and small personality blurb for a chance to win a baby!

Tribe residents Rare and Well Done have been attempting to grow their family and their tribe with a surrogate for some time now, but the idea of adopting a family is just as exciting for them! They and their tribe’s leader, Parrot Head, are more than eager to hear the sounds of little hooves on the sand once again. What makes them the right caretakers? The Sand Bar is a peaceful, found family-oriented tribe founded on a tiny strip of beach paradise! They do their best to foster a calm, friendly, and generous environment for all kin- both young and young at heart. There’s plenty of odd jobs to do around the tribe as well, so no matter what goals the foals have, there’s always a place for them. How would you give out the kin? Kin would be distributed in assorted contests for an opening celebration event, alongside two more kin from a previous event!

Bone Chewer and Drink It Ups tribe is new and small and they're eager to "teach them young" about all the swamp has to offer as far as it's food, and drinks. To involve them from a young age so they can have a greater appreciation for all that is available than even they have. What makes them the right caretakers? Between the two of them they can make sure the young are never hungry, or thirsty, and they feel they have a wealth of knowledge to teach to anyone willing to listen but feel the young will be able to take in all their teachings, because they'll have clear unbiased minds. How would you give out the kin? A combination naming/earning their place within the tribe contest. (If they choose to be a hunter, then they would write a name/earning based on that role. If they chose to be a Clear Minded their entry would have to focus on that, etc.)
