We're sure there's a lot of untapped talent still out there, so we thought we'd toss up another hiring thread, to see what falls in!
All colorists hired from this thread will start as Guest Colorists, with the possibility to become full time later. Guest Colorists are asked to make unedited semi-customs or breedings from the CC threads. All colorist work must be approved by blue before it is sent out, and Guest Colorists cannot do official edited work. Sometimes, Guest Colorists might be asked to contribute to major thread events, submitting on-theme pets for contests, raffles, dice games, or freebies. They will receive all profits for their work, as well as staff credits that can be applied toward free pets/kin.
In the following posts, we will offer tools necessary for applying to join our team!

For the purpose of hiring, we're offering up three templates for you to play with: The Buck, the Filly, and the Moth. Click their images below to download them for use:
These templates are very different from what most b/c artists are used to: they do not merely use shading and multiply layers. Instead, layers must be recolored by hand and markings applied either with masks or the eraser tool. As such, we strongly suggest you use photoshop, but paint shop pro or the GIMP may work as well.
More information about how to use the templates can be found in this post in our long-closed Color Your Own Event, where we go into the methods we use. You can also stop in on any of the artists' streams, and are welcome to ask questions during as to our process!
It is important that you pick colors by hand and use our method.
It is impossible to get breedings to look right using the classic templated multiply layers method, so you must play with layer masks to be a colorist at Matope!

In order to apply, you must take the templates in the post above, and make at least three samples.
One of these samples should be the moth, as we may hire people to Familiar Only positions. If you're only interested in coloring familiars, then feel free to color exclusively moths. However, if you're interested in being a Kin Colorist, you should color at least two kin as well.
If you'd like a little inspiration, you can choose from the following themes for your kin, or pick one (or more!) of the following inspiration images:
Lizards Candy Mori fashion
Summer Spring Winter Fall
BREEDINGS:
In addition, if you're interested in potentially being able to do breedings, we request that you pick one of the pairings below and create at least two offspring, combining traits from the parents as well as any throwbacks you'd like to include:
Moon Pond x Jokes with Bees Lovebird x Spidersilk Every Spirit Has a Name x Sunset Chaser Echoes on a Frozen Pond x Perhaps Get Over It x Two Days
Forms in the next post...
