Personality: Despite what one may think with being a being made entirely out of fire, Calista is actually a very laid back individual. It was not necessarily how she was created to be, but the adopted patience and calm mannerisms of her sister, Andromeda. Now that being said, it doesn't change the fact that she certainly has more of a temper than her even headed sister and is faster to react to things instead of thinking them through. But all in all, having lived hundreds of years will give a person the patience of a saint if practiced enough. Calista thinks she's a bit harder to get along with than her sister because of those reasons, but it doesn't stop her from trying to make friends. While being as old as she is, she can be pouty and stubborn if things don't go her way. It only takes a firm tone or a certain look from her sister to set her straight.
Bio: Calista was born of magic, but not of a natural magic like from the earth. She was created by alchemists and wizards alike to lay claim to the forests and defeat an ever persistent enemy. Though the first time life was breathed into her, she wasn't perfect enough for them, wasn't strong enough. She was only vaguely aware of her presence in life, until it all went dark again. Back and forth, time and time again. Taken apart and put back together again, until she was finally made into what she is now. A fire atronach. The words were foreign to her, but she knew, deep down, that that is what she is. She was run through practices to test her powers and her limits, realize her weaknesses and then push her further. Years like this carried on, and it seemed to her that the fight with these wooden creatures had been going on much much longer.
Her first appearance to the forest in which she met her sister, she didn't have any reaction other than to just destroy and burn, like she had been made to do. The job was almost done when she saw one of the last of the wooden creatures, who cried, not just for her forest, but for the creature burning her home. It stopped Calista short, this being who should try to destroy her on the spot, wept for her instead. The agony that throbbed inside of her from how she was created, the lack of true life that didn't breath through her, hit her like a ton of bricks. Quickly calling off the burning flames of the once beautiful forest around her, she embraced the wooden creature and they wept together. The sun's heat and light washed a life over Calista she had never known before, a feeling of true freedom overwhelmed her and she knew she could never be grateful enough for what had been given to her.
The sisters had agreed to live amongst man, but Andromeda always seemed more uneasy about it. Calista on the other hand, thrived and reveled in the human technologies, fascinated by their abilities to learn, develop and change. Over time, it seemed like they believed less in magic in more in logic and possessions. An odd concept to a creature who had originally been created by magic, but it was also a refreshing thought that hopefully humans weren't trying to create more beings like her. With upgraded technologies too, Calista often secretly researched beings like her, and also like Andromeda, but it seemed their existence was wiped from history all together. This was something that please Calista, knowing that she and her sister would remain safe and likely if they could blend in, then humans would not hunt them. Humans were always afraid of what they didn't understand.
